Rich and I decided to make a video together. Lauren helped us with shooting and all three of us had the same location in mind, a hidden corner in an industrial part of the city. We chose a track by Janaka Selekta and went for it.

Nice work, both with your moves and with the video making - it is beautiful, and the music is a lovely choice.

There are many gems in here. Rich, loving the mini hoop moves that look derived from double staff...and was that the 5 beat weave? Khan, what do you call the spherical isolation variation where the hoop flips in one hand? I tried that after another video of yours and it was hella challenging. Lots of inspiration in this collaborative flow. Plus, you guys are looking so stylin.'

Tue, June 30, 2009 - 11:51 AMumm...i mostly refer to it as "that flippy thing". really technical of me, huh? rich sometimes refers to it as an axial isolation, i think this version would properly be called a horizontal axial isolation, since the hoop can isolate along a vertical axis as well. -
