I don't even know what language this is in so I can't credit this hooper but holy cow!!! She does a lot of things I've never seen before. Good gracious... Every time I think she's done the craziest thing she can do, she does four more crazy things! (She also kinda reminds me of Revolva. I would not be at all surprised to see Revolva doing all this stuff one day.)

Wed, May 7, 2008 - 11:23 AMOk, that's what I get for prematurely posting before I watched the whole thing. My jaw is literally on the floor. No, seriously, I just fell out of my chair and my jaw is on the floor. This girl is AMAZING!
Wouldn't it trip you out to see somebody just randomly busting those moves out at a festival.

Re: Some unique circus hooping
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 11:29 AMI think the text is in Greek. I thought Russian at first though, but I'm pretty sure it's Greek.
The two hoops in split-time on one hand is really really cool. Awhile ago when I was more focused on double-hooping I tried getting it but it hurt my hand too much...now I'm inspired to work on it again. I also like the one-handed "helicopter atomic twirl thing" whatever it's called.
Doing splits while in a handstand though...that one's a little beyond my reach. ;p Good stuff though! Thanks.

Re: Some unique circus hooping
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 12:59 PMI thought it was Revolva to start with:-) I bet this beautiful and amazing girl has got abs of steel, and her flexibility is amazing. Those lightweight aluminum hoops look even more inviting when hooped like this, if only they did not clatter so because it puts me off. The circus style hoopers that I have met use really lightweight hoops, much lighter than the 20 mm diameter tubing, especially for arm work. This makes the split time hooping a lot easier, It hurts my arm too Khan.
Lots of inspiring stuff, most of it unattainable for me, but some of it I've been messing around with for awhile, got a long way to go though :-)
Thanks for sharing.

Re: Some unique circus hooping
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 3:23 PMWow! She did the spits, upside down and hooped off each foot whilst turning her hips around from one side of her body to the other.
Also, cartwheeling over and over whilst spinning two hoops on one hand?
Amazing. -

i love that one handed atomic twirly thing too...definitely do not have a grasp on that.
maybe i'll just work on making a spinning, hoopy hat. that's a nice adaptation. i bet our carrboro friendly frisbee fanatic, michael p, might like to add that to his repetoire too:-)
