On a side note, a shaved head is so liberating, I did mine for 5 years. -

A really effective demo still though hoop sizes have changed. ;p Weird how the styles seem like they're from another era...I know this was a while ago, but it's not like it was the '70's or something. Anah, with your shaved head you really look like a sleek other-worldly creature. The video really feels like it's capturing that moment in time, not just of your hooping but also the whole milieu of which it was a part and in which it grew. Sweet. -

Spiral and I watched that video several times way back in the day (before youtube) and I was stunned, inspired and my hooping forever changed. Watching it just now, I felt on the edge of my seat just like in those days - anxious to go dance! You are such a badass, girl! As I mentioned during Convergence, your rhythm is entrancing and energy infectious!
This reminds me to get some more old school footage of you and Rayna up! I am feeling a massive video uploading coming:-)

Going way back! We used to watch this on VHS! That's what I love about you, Anah, you're hooping's Original, Original Gangsta! Damn you make hooping look cool. I'm glad you posted this, Anah. Like Jewel, said this was a big inspiration for us down here. This, and the video Spiral shot of you teaching Angle hooping, changed the course of my hoop history.
I feel very lucky that we have had a chance to share and swap hoop spaces over the years.

We are only now trying to catch up. While blown away by your supple body and serpentine moves, my favorite part was where the video caught your face close up. You appear otherworldly and stupendously beautiful.
