Okay, I'm going to make a blooper reel of anyone who wants to share a video with a blooper. I think it will be hysterical.

Here's what I'd like you to do
- post a link to the video with the blooper, preferably on youtube or another source that will allow me to download it
- make sure that you have the video enabled for downloading
- post the minute mark of the blooper

I'm not sure how long it will take me to do this project but I think it will be really fun and funny to have a blooper reel from our little tribe. Let's see whatcha got! (It's gonna take me a while just to round al mine up...)

Caroleena, you are so funny! I watched all ten of your blooper vids in a row. They definitely made me laugh. But you handle it like a pro, with a giggle and a smile! I wish I had more videos to post because I've had some crazy bloopers of my own. Like the one time my hoop got caught in the ceiling fan pull-string thing (not sure what its called) and then the fan turned on and sucked the string up into the blades. That didn't end well...lol.

Oh, that's funny! I wish you had that too. I've had lots of adventures with the ceiling fan. Thanksgiving 2008, I pulled one of the glass globes down on my head and almost knocked myself out! A big goose egg came up like on the old Wiley Coyote cartoons. I don't think ceiling fans like hoops very much...

How does one enable for downloading on youtube?

Here's a collection of silliness caught on film while Jeremiah and I have been continuously recording our practice at the gym... enjoy!

It automatically allows you to download unless you have that feature disabled. You have to have realplayer to download. If you have it, you can scroll over the upper left hand corner of your video and a box will appear in light blue text that says "Download this video" that allows you to download it to your computer. This vid that you have posted is downloadable. I just checked. I'm going to save it to the blooper file I've got started right now.

And you are so lucky to have a partner who enjoys hooping too. That would be so great. What a fun thing to share. You know there are lots of partner moves ya'll could do together -- sharing one hoop isolations, hoop handoffs, passes around and through both of you, stuff with one hoop or two. It's fun to have a hoop partner to play with. In fact, at Convergence this year, Marria and Ammon taught a whole workshop on it. There was tons of stuff I never even considered! I hope they'll do it again this year. And that you'll be there!!!

    Hi Caroleeena, great idea!

I am enjoying these vids! :-) I have recorded tons of bloopers, most were just deleted before they made it to a movie. I do have one at the very end of this video, starting at 2:34:

I was just glad I didn't break my camera!

In this video I posted www.youtube.com/watch , at 1:50 I throw the hoop up and fall down when trying to catch it, then at 3:03 I do my running Grand Jete and hoop toss, miss it and run to catch it. THe video might be too dark though. I will have to start keeping my bloopers for you. *GRIN*

I love that Thundershyne. And I love the way the sky is a soft rainbow behind you. Looking at it on my laptop, I can move the screen toward me and the colors become clearer. Very pretty. And I like the look on your face when you shrug like, "What can you do?" too!

I set out to record myself [with the little bit of battery power I had left on the camera] doing an awesome chest roll. I just tried it today and the first one was great. Turn on the camera and I get this:

    triple chest roll attempt -- 1:45 - 2:09
arm to hoop to face -- 2:40
the point that i should have stopped, but didn't -- 4:40

After yesterday's frustrations with work and wonky hoopness, seeing everyone's bloopers and then catching some of my own on film today really cheered me up.

.....I just wish I had the one where I busted myself in the nose twice in a row. or maybe not, since i unleased some very colorful, lyrical words both times that others might not want to hear. :-)

    peace, kristen

I just watched Brooke's - awesome! Caroleeena, I didn't forget about this. I'm going to get you that roof toss just as soon as I can sort through my videos and find it. I never uploaded it to You Tube so I have to find the original tape, but I'll get it to you - hopefully over the weekend :)

This is great Kristen. Do you have it on youtube, by chance? Vimeo doesn't allow for downloading videos. If you don't have a youtube account, let me know. I have one just for sharing vids with folks who don't have youtube. We could put it there, then I could download it, then I'd take it off.

Those spinning stalls you do at 3:15 are really pretty.

I have some feedback for you on those across the chest rolls. You are doing backward butterflies and then a break and then one forward butterfly before trying the roll. I recommend doing three or four forward butterflies (with no break or at least a few circles after the break to smooth out your planes) before doing the roll. When you try to switch up, you lose your nice level plane and that makes the roll not go smoothly. As your technique continues to improve, you'll probably be able to switch back and forth but for the purposes of learning it, I recommend doing a butterfly in the same direction as you will be releasing the hoop. The ones where you're not switching directions right before are the ones you're successful at. That's a good thing to take note of.

Thanks for sharing girl. These are great. Let me know about the youtube thing. (Or maybe there's another way to share video that I don't know about.)

www.youtube.com/watch (0:27) - it's more what you can hear rather than see in this one...
I was performing in this small space with a very low ceiling. While doing some off-body vertical moves, I broke the bulb right above my head (you can hear it at 0:27)...of course I had to keep on going like nothing happened....I've learned my lesson to always wear shoes while performing;))
