Every year Owensboro KY holds a festival in May and I think that would be a great time to get together and hoop our hearts out. It would help to get others interested during this event ,too. There will be bands, DJs, car shows, shopping stands, the carnival, Beer, and food which includes of course BarBQ. This is a 2-3 day event, that is on a weekend, which all the good stuff is on Saturday. So if anyone wants to get together, let me know......as soon as I find out exactly which days it's on I will post it....

I dont know if I will have my inventory stocked up again, by then...but maybe if Rhonda and some others could help out... it would be lots of fun. And I do see there is a camp site located in the area.

I dont know about others.. but I will see if I can recruit a few others to come down with me. If nothing else , Sierra and I could bring hoops down and meet up with you. Is there camping at this event? -

Sun, March 23, 2008 - 11:15 PMThere isn't camping at the fest since it's held at closed streets, it's at the riverfront by the Executive Inn and River Park Center,but i can tell you where the camping areas are in Owensboro, but I think the charge a fee(Diamond Lake and Windy Hollow). You probably don't have to stay overnight if you don't want to, if your coming from Louisville it's only a 2 hour drive here. I've done plenty of one day trips to Louisville and back, it's not bad at all... There are plenty of hotels, but the hard part is finding one that isn't booked since a lot of people book in advance... -
