Hoop Path Weekend Workshop - November 13- 15th

Ok Hoopers! Breaking news.. we have a date confirmation.

Hoop Path Louisville II has been confirmed, today.

Please save the dates for Friday, November 13 - Sunday November 15th.
There will be a two day and three day option for those who may not be able to stay all three days.

The location has yet to be determined, but more information on that shortly. We do have some local accommodations for out of town guest, so please make sure to contact me for space availability. We like to provide a local, hometown feel to the HP workshops, so we will do our best to find accommodations for all that would like to stay with somebody local.

This will be a great way to bring in the holidays, so I hope many of you can come. Please let me know if your interested as soon as possible as that will help determine the space needs.

Hoopers wanted for 4th of July Parade

Hi There's a parade opportunity in Cincinnati for anybody who would like to go up with me.

The Northside 4th of July parade committee has contacted me requesting hoopers for their annual parade.
The parade starts at 12:00 pm but people will need to be in the line up at 11:00 am.

This is last minute but if any of you are interested in joining me in the parade that would be great.

Calling all Kentucky Hoopers

I am starting to put my feelers out to my brothers and sisters in Louisville and around the state...

I am in talks with Christabel from HoopGirls, about having a Hoop Dancing Teacher Certification training class here in Louisville around the second week of October. The date and details are still being confirmed, however I wanted to see how many of you would be interested in attending this 3 day intensive training? Local accomadations can be made for a limited number of people. This is a rare opportunity for our area, so please ask your friends, fitness trainers, and anybody else you know and help spread the word.

A call for hoopers in Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky

The organizers for the Muscatatuck River Music Festival are really hoping to see experienced hoopers on May 10th. The are planning to make hoops to pass out to the crowd. So there will be hoopage either way. This is a great opportunity to spread the love of hooping.

OMG.. what an incredible night last night was. Im still bouncing from a hooping high! Thank you so much Rhonda, Carrie, Cassie, Elizabeth, Ann and everybody else who came out and brought hoops! The energy was amazing and to see so many people of all ages out playing with the hoops!

BarBQ Fest

Every year Owensboro KY holds a festival in May and I think that would be a great time to get together and hoop our hearts out. It would help to get others interested during this event ,too. There will be bands, DJs, car shows, shopping stands, the carnival, Beer, and food which includes of course BarBQ. This is a 2-3 day event, that is on a weekend, which all the good stuff is on Saturday. So if anyone wants to get together, let me know......as soon as I find out exactly which days it's on I will post it....

What an exciting week for hooping

As most of you all know I have been pushing hooping here in Louisville since last summer... and I finally think it is really catching on now. This week, I have been contacted by 2 seperate womens groups, both ordering hoops and asked me to come do a jump start workshop!

Also, this week, I was contacted about doing a fire hooping preformance, sold 3 hoops to my hair dresser, another 2 to the girls scouts employees, sending one to california, and two more to Indiana. CRAZY!! All of this by word of mouth. Gosh makes me think what could happen if I just put forth a little marketing effort...???

Louiville is getting their hoop grove on .... Im so excited! Hopefully, we will see more people joining this tribe. I would like to start making some plans for some hoop jams this summer and I would love to see a large World Hoop Day event on the Waterfront this year!

On another note, I have been in discussions with Cristabel ( hoopgirl ) about doing a teachers certification here in Louisville this fall.... Anybody Interested?? I know I have at least 3 people now, excluding myself. Poosie Kat... put out the feelers up your way.. I am thinking maybe September or October. I will keep you posted on this.

I just wanted to say Happy Holidays to you all. I know this time is busy for everybody, but I'm starting to get contacted by people in the Louisville area about hooping, creating hoops, and other things.

Maybe when things settle down for everyone, we could all get together soon.

Ideas for World Hoop Day 8-8-08

Hi.. well I know that it's just really Rhonda, Poosie, and I in here right now, but I am expecting others to be joining soon. I have been working with some fantastic women from the Girl Scouts headquarters lately. They have just started hooping and are really excited, which led me to think... that it would be a great opportunity to make some connections with troop leader for a huge World Hoop Day here in Louisville.

Girls do you have any ideas on what you would like to do on this day? I was really thinking that it would be a blast to have something down at the waterfront, especially if we could get the GSA troops on board.

What do you think and what would be some of your ideas?

Welcome Kentucky Hoopers

Hi, Rhonda has been doing a fantastic job trying to recruit local / regional hoopers however both she and I have found it hard to connect to others in the area. Therefore, I have created a local tribe in the event that there are hoopers out there trying to connect.

I dont know when, but it is my hope that we can find enough of you out there to start hosting events and regular hoop times.

So, if your in the area and want to learn more about hooping come on and join!
