Horning's Hideout:
You Can Help Keep Horning's Hideout Open for Concerts
Dear Friends, as many of you know, we are having some difficulties in continuing to have concerts here. A judge re-interpreted a law which then led the county to require us to file for new permits. We did everything the county asked, and were under the impression that things would go smoothly. Had I any thoughts that the county would deny us, I would not have scheduled the season.

The county denied us, by stating such far reaching things as a tent being an accessory structure and therefore needing firebreaks as a permanent structure. It's frustrating, for we feel that politics are involved. We will continue fighting for the venue for you under a new law in Oregon that will grandfather us in, but it's going to take both a few months and help from our friends and supporters. We are moving forward, with people working hard to help us find a solution.

Many of you who attended the Northwest String Summit and others have asked what you could do to help. At first I was at a loss, so I was being honest with them, telling them that the fees for the government and attorneys were going to be extremely high and that I'm being buried in them, when they suggested that I set up an account to which people could donate money to help pay for all the fees. At first I was very reluctant to ask for help, but then they told me how much they loved the place and wanted to do what they could and how they would be happy to help out to keep it all going. So I'm taking their advice, reluctanly, for it's hard for me to ask, but I am asking, so please, if you would like to join them in helping me with these fees to keep the place open for all of you, it would be so much more than greatly appreciated. If everyone visiting this site donated something it would be wonderful, a huge help, and any amount would be great. Please understand that I would not ask if I didn't feel that this would benefit everyone who has come here or ever wanted to come here to enjoy the place.

With your help we will prevail and be back next year with more great shows. Below is a PayPal link that will allow you donate any amount that you can to help Horning's Hideout, or you can send it to Horning's Hideout, 21277 NW Brunswick Canyon Rd, North Plains OR, 97133. Thanks so much.
Also, you can contact the Washington County Commissioners and Commissioner Andy Duyck at cao@co.washington.or.us or 503-846-8681 and ask him to support our Measure 37 claim. This claim would grandfather us in so that our concerts can continue. Thanks so much, Bob Horning Click here to help Horning's Hideout
