Hossam Ramzy's newest release "Flamenco Arabe 2" the follow-up to the wonderful Flamenco Arabe the 1st volume. This cd is awesome, wonderful compositions and the usual incredible musicianship and fine taste you find plenty of on a Hossam Ramzy record.
Like volume one, this newest recording is chock full of steamy Spanish music and full of rich, funky, totally grooving, hot Egyptian rhythms.
"Jose Luis Monton" is the featured Flamanco Guitarist and he's smokin' as well as everyone else here.
It never ceases to amaze me how fine the quality of production is to be continuously found on Hossam's records. The full range of instrumentation, the beautiful compositions, the arrangements, all with wonderful clarity, the production is of the finest I hear in any genre of music.
I don't know if this recording is up on his homepage yet, if not, keep your eyes open for it, you don't want to miss this.
