Hi group,
Some of you probably already have this recording, I want to recommend it because I like
it a lot, it's very enjoyable listening. If you don't already have it, get it, I think you'll like it.
It's Loreena McKennit's "Book of Secrets" and Hossam is featured on some of the tracks.
Typically, he gives the best of himself to the music. And he's such a wonderful addition, giving
plenty of groove and Arabic FUNK to Loreena's sweet vocals.
I like her work, it's a wonderful mix of many musical genres that work so well together.

I think the album that has the most middle-eastern flavour is "The Mask and Mirror"; it was the first of her albums that I bought and it's still, I think, my favourite.

A couple of years ago most of her CDs were reissued with a DVD ("No Journey's End") which includes a 1997 video of "The Mummers' Dance" featuring a drummer who I think might be Hossam Ramzy; apologies to him if it isn't, but does anyone know definitely?

I see that Hossam Ramzy also plays on two tracks on Loreena McKennitt's new album, "An Ancient Muse". Pity his name's spelt wrong, though.
