I've just sent out the details for this year's locations via Facebook.

For those not registered, here they are:-

Date: 09-09-09 (Weds - so take the afternoon off if you have to!)

- Start: 6pm, Wellington Arch, Hyde Park Corner

We'll be creating our own "hooper island" on the roundabout.
Music will be provided and also a *limited* number of hoops.

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT Hyde Park, but the 'island' in the middle of the roundabout. Google Map 'Wellington Arch' if you are unsure.


- 8:30pm - Head down to Trafalgar Square - better still, HOOP there! :o)

Should take approx 25mins


9-9.30pm - Hoop it up in the Square!

At EXACTLY 9mins past 9pm EVERYBODY is to hoop for 9 mins straight. Someone will blow a whistle (or horn!) to signal the start and end of this 9 min hoop-a-thon.

We anticipate that the event will finish around 9:30pm.


***WHAT TO BRING***

- As the object of the event is to spread the hoop love, you are all encouraged to bring 2 hoops: one for yourself and one for a curious passer-by...

- If you have one, an LED hoop. I think we should reserve the LEDs for our 9min hoop-a-thon, just for maximum effect.

- Camera/camcorder, so we have as many photos/footage as possible.

- Friends - but they MUST be encouraged to join in as well! ;o)



WHAT IF IT RAINS?

***THE EVENT WILL STILL GO AHEAD IF IT'S RAINING!***

So don't be a wuss! However, we may alter the plans to take this into consideration. If the weather is not kind on us on the day, we will STAY AT HYDE PARK CORNER, cos at least we'll have the Arch to shelter under, plus a few trees. Under these circumstances, we will NOT go to Trafalgar Sq.

We will also stay at Hyde Park Corner if there happens to be another event going on in Traf Sq. At the time of writing this, there doesn't seem to be anything happening. But I will check this nearer the time.

If anyone has any questions/comments/ suggestions do let me know so we can sort them out before the day.

And if anything dramatically changes, you'll be the 1st to know!
