Guys,
Thought I'd start a new thread about this so as not to hijack Sue's thread about what you're all up to just now.
Great that some of you will all be around for days between trainings! The day off between L1&2 is Sunday 19 April, and L2&3 is Thursday 23 April. So lets hoop! We can arrnage specific times closer to the dates, but I'm thinking we should just go hoop in the park from about lunchtime!
Who's in?!
P.S. If you're doing 2 levels, I would offer you one word of caution and that is to not overdo the hooping on your day off

Im definitely in for Sunday 19th April for a few hours Kitty! Unfortunately my dissertation is due on friday 24th April so I am thinking that will be a very long, very late night, with no time for hooping, which is too sad!
Cannot wait until L1 training it is going to be a much needed break from studying!
Hopefully there will be lots of us hooping it up in a local park -

I should be OK for the Sunday, and possibly for some Thursday late afternoon hooping. Hope it's dry.

Sun, April 5, 2009 - 3:44 AMIf anyone is around on the Saturday evening following level one (18th Apil) there is a "Variety Show" at our church hall.
The show starts at 7:30pm.
There will be singers, dancers, and yes, without wishing to put anyone off coming, "Hoop Guy" will be performing a HoopDance on stage, plus also I will be dong my comedy juggling act as "John the Juggler".
We also have a magical illusion act and various other items.
Entry is £5 but spaces are limited.
So, if you fancy a night relaxing, with glasses of wine and othert refreshments, and to see me making a fool of myself, let me know ad I will reserve tickets for you.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at Hoopgirl Training.

Thu, April 16, 2009 - 8:44 AMSoooo, the Level 1 guys are all well under way with their training (I guess I should have posted this sooner, but events have gotten the better of me this week).
Suggest we meet up in the park at about 1pm under the big tree in front of the museum (think that's what it is...). Those who've been before know where I mean!

Thu, April 16, 2009 - 1:20 PMMy post didn't work! Use the clinic car park opposite the park - just turn into clinic drive. You won't have to haul your hoops for miles then. It's never used on a Sunday - even if it is, go round past clinic & there's another car park on the right. -

Fri, April 17, 2009 - 2:17 AMI have indeed twisted my ankle! It's come up like an elephants foot! Eurgh. I slipped over in the garden. IT's sooo painful, but I'm trying to rest it as much as poss, although I have to be in the office today so no rest... :(
Even if I don't hoop on Sunday, I'm gonna try to drive down so I can see everyone

I will see if i can come if its nice and sunny i might make a picnic and see if my boyf fancies it. He doesnt mind a hoop, which is nice, he likes to chest hoop. he ok at it too. Sun, April 19, 2009 - 2:18 PMWell i didn't make it - :( but i did plenty of hooping in a park here - and got a few newbies to have a go. I will be down to Nuneaton on thursday ready for level 3, So hopefully catch a few people from level 2. Will you be around then Amanda?
Keep that ankle well looked after and find some fairy dust to sprinkle on it!

There is a plan to meet up around 2.30pm on Thursday, again in the park, weather permitting I suppose, for more park hooping.
Seeing Christabel made me realise how close it really is! -

Mon, April 20, 2009 - 2:53 PMMight be a bit crowded - you can park on the road by the trees? Avoid around 2.45-3.15 - parents jam up the road picking their kids up (when did people stop walking?!) Go a bit further round the road & see if there's a space in the other car park near my office : ) -

Fri, April 24, 2009 - 3:00 AMAccident Sue, whole of Toddington, Dunstable and surrounding area was gridlocked all morning. They opened M1 again at 2pm but what with backlog of traffic I decided to abort. I went out last night so I had to know I could be back at 6.30pm so it was not worth the risk and hassle. A shame cos after Sunday I was really looking forward to it. See you 16th May anyway.

I have a problem with the car, I don't think it's serious, but I need it fixed before I travel back and fourth for the course. And I've promised a friend I'll accompany her to a promotional event that she's interested in that evening. If I get there I get there, if not, oh well. Sad, but can't be helped. The week is piling up onto Thursday at the moment.
