The Sugarplum Elves (myspace.com/sugarplumelves) will be hosting a Calendar Release / Fundraiser / Wrap Party @ Space Lounge in San Francisco OCTOBER 18th.

We are looking for the followinf performers:
Burlesque
Hoop
Poi
Sword swallowers
Contortionists
Belly dancers
Anything that can be done indoors without too much room

Since this is a fundraiser, we cannot pay (sorry, we're broke performers too). However, you can sell merch and mingle with our party people which will have at least our 12 awesome photographers, as well as models, musicians and other creative peeps.

In other news

After having my show/footage rejected by 4 cable companies & kick off of YouTube for being "Inappropriate"
I finally got an offer from a new Web-TV site to do 1/2 hour a week show
I'll keep you updated & will post links & more info. as soon as they get things up and running
So keep your fingers crossed

Other then that it's been the same old crap around here

The Enigma is making an appearance at a tattoo convention in Nashville in March. I read somewhere that he occasionally sets up shop to tattoo blue puzzle pieces on people. Is this true, or just an internet rumor? Call me a geek if you want, but if it's true I want to get in line for some ink! And if it's true, does anyone know how to get in touch with him to find out if / when / where he will be setting up? I've already asked the event coordinators and all they'll say is that "anything can happen". Grrr. . .

The website is down, so I don't know where else to go.

The first episode is done, we are discussing getting better equipment and a way that we can do phone interviews without it sounding like you are going through the PA at BurgerKing.

There is going to be a lot more coming with the show; book, video, and show reviews. Various ramblings from the road on the way to interviews, and everything else in between.

circus/ exotic performers needed

Ok heres the gig, its a little confusing. I am head of a video game/comic design company called Army of Mayhem. This summer we threw an art and music festival called 10 Acre Takeover and it was a hit. What we'd like to do next is make our characters come alive. One of the main characters is a necromancer in a nomadic traveling circus of experiments gone wrong. This is the troop. Once we cast the show, we will make all the costumes and necessary eye candy needed. The show is January 13th I believe (give or take a day) at the Key Club in Hollywood. The circus act will be an opener for Dr. Steel (www.doctorsteel.com) (www.myspace.com/drsteel) The Doctor has the club all to himself that night. This band is comlete with the doctor, henchmen musicans, sexy nurses and puppet show. This show is going to be big. Lots and lots of big name reps coming as well as special guest recruiters from Blue Man Group who are looking for 'a new act'. I am almost certain the place will sell out, Dr Steel has only had 2 shows and the last was was so packed the venue had to turn people away. If all goes well and everyone has fun, you are invited to join us to do it again at comicon San Diego where costumes will be entered into the contest and cash prizes are given. This is just for fun.... but everyone involved are serious about their art. Dr Steel alone requires 12 people to run the show. If youre interested in meeting with other telented artists like yourself and performing ,we would love for you to join us. Army of Mayhem currently does not make profit as we are still in the process of creating our work, however everyone works for free and we love the barter system. For example.. if you need photos done, and a makeupartist to do shots for you, we can get that done. We're all artists trying to help other artists. If you have any comments, concerns, let me know.

The Enigma is in Canada. He is touring without Katzen. However, he does have some new members. I hope the show is doing well. i haven't heard much lately. That usually is a good sign tho'

There should be some pix of the progress up next 2 weeks as I paint it.

I am a VERY heppy Katzen. I have now been home for 5 days. Sturgis SD bike rally kicked my ass. However, I made some grreat connections. Looks like I am going to NOLA for the weekend. I will be home again Monday. I am taking tattoo appointments. If you want ink from me just email me here. I will also be painting a mural at Jovita's mexican restaurant on S. 1st St. in Austin M0n-Fri (Aug 29- sept. 2)
