After watching the movie on "Human Trafficking" (Directed by Christian Duguay) and "Lilya 4-Ever," which is a cruel and disturbing Swedish film by writer and director Lukas Moodysson, I was interested to bring the issues of human trafficking into the forefront.
In the movie, Lilya was left to fend for herself by an uncaring mother and an impersonal and cold society. A teenage girl sank into a spiral of human trafficking and abuse.
I wonder how far the consumers of sexual services are to blame for the development of human trafficking? In the light of the ever-increasing narcissism in our culture, and the availability of ever new choices in regards to our sexual satisfaction, how far do we really care for these people being trafficked? How much are we willing to do to help them? Can we really stop human trafficking? How would we get funding to build enough shelters for all these people?

It is clear that we can not combat "human trafficking" alone. It will take the entire human family to stop stuff like this from happening.
