UK Government Caught at “Child Protection” Conference with Porn Industry
By Terry Vanderheyden
BELFAST, November 16, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Northern Ireland Assemblyman is condemning a British government MP for attending a “child protection” conference at a Belfast hotel known for its purveyance of pay-per-view pornography, an industry that is often guilty of trafficking in women and underage girls.
“I do not feel that the Pay-per-View industry has any contribution to make to the fight against child pornography,” emphasized Northern Ireland Assemblyman, Dr. Esmond Birnie, a leading opponent of the normalization of pornography in the British Isles. “I therefore feel it is ironic that Paul Goggins MP, UK Parliamentary Under Secretary of State and Chairman of the Home Secretary’s Taskforce on Child Protection, has apparently decided to attend the conference at the Hilton Hotel Belfast. In my view the Home Office would also have been on safer ground using a hotel which was not itself connected to the trade in pornography,” he added.
Dr. Birnie added his criticism for a system that makes the child pornography industry viable – credit cards. “The vile and despicable trade in involuntary and criminal pornography which affects adults to the same extent it abuses children, is only possible because of transaction processing and other billing mechanisms,” Dr. Birnie explained.
VISA is one of the participants at the conference – a key player in the dissemination of child pornography world-wide. The ability to use credit cards to purchase child pornography has made it easier than ever to obtain. “The fact that child pornography can be purchased using a credit card . . . is causing an exploding global problem and an immeasurable impact on the sexual exploitation of children,” said Ernie Allen, President and CEO, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as reported by LifeSiteNews.com last week, HYPERLINK "www.lifesite.net/ldn/2005/...esite.net/ ldn/2005/nov/05110905.html
The sex trade experience of the Canadian government has illustrated the difficulties of distinguishing juveniles from adults. Pornography web-sites in Eastern Europe exploit juveniles with the same lack of discrimination as traffickers, strip-club agents, brothels and massage parlours.
According to the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, Regpay Co. Inc., based in Belarus, processed $3 million dollars in subscription fees to Web sites hosting child pornography. A US company “knowingly participated in the criminal activity by providing credit-card processing services to Regpay,” according to a Concerned Women for America account. “Federal officials seized $800,000 from Connections USA, proceeds they believe are from child pornography sales.” In 2003, the FBI estimated that Regpay and Connections USA processed 270,000 credit card transactions on Visa and MasterCard alone.
“We’ve put Visa and MasterCard on notice,” said Jan LaRue, CWA’s chief counsel, “that they are also facilitating and profiting from purchases of adult hard-core pornography that is prosecutable as obscenity. We’ve sent them stacks of printouts from hard-core Web sites that feature their company logos.”
“They are also on notice that third-party processors like Regpay and Connections USA are passing through to them the charges from customers for purchases of hard-core porn. We’ve also brought this to the attention of [former] Attorney General Ashcroft.”
“When the credit card companies have knowledge that their products are being used in this way, they are as liable as the porn Web sites for violating federal obscenity laws. Their alleged cooperation in child pornography investigations can’t cover for knowingly profiting from other illegal material transactions,” LaRue said.

Re: UK Government Caught at “Child Protection” Conference with Porn Industry
Fri, December 2, 2005 - 3:31 PMUmmmmmmmmm...... I hate to do this but LifeSiteNews.com are really not my kinda folks. Not to muddy the waters but I think we need more reputable sources than these folks. They have an agenda that I find less than constructive. If we start posting from less than objective reporting agency's we take the risk of loosing our own effectiveness and legitamacy.
To make my point I have posted another story from the same website.
And just so you know, I take the subject of child sexual exploitation/abuse as gravely as anyone. Having lived through, personally, the results. and as a survivor for most of my life. I believe this entitles me to an informed opinion about the aftermath.
So.................. Having said that.............
Last time I looked gay did not equal Pedophile.
And Hate cannot foster love nor peace.
But maybe it's just me......

Life Consensus Growing that Homosexuality is at Root of Priest Sexual Abuse Scandal
PHILADELPHIA, September 29, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The release of the Grand Jury Report on the sexual abuse of minors by clergy in the Philadelphia Diocese highlights the danger of having homosexuals serving in the ministry, a pro-family group said today.
The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) reviewed the over 400-page report and found that of the 28 'Selected Case Studies" listed in the report the victims of 23 priests were males ranging in age from 11-18 and the victims of two priests were both male and female. This review also reveals the efforts by media to downplay the overall presence of male victims and concentrate on the three priests whose victims were strictly female and the two that victimized both male and female teens.
"This is truly a tragic situation - men who have been placed in authority positions taking advantage of teenage boys. More importantly it highlights the need for the pope to carry forth with his plan to investigate U.S. seminaries for the presence of homosexuals," remarked Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.
Rod Dreher, editor of National Review Online writes: "Dr. Richard Fitzgibbons, an eminent Catholic psychiatrist who has treated scores of victims and priest-perpetrators, says 90% of his patients were either teen male victims or priests, or priests who abused teen boys." Because the victims are teenagers, this shows that the issue is not one of pedophilia as much as it is one of homosexuality.
Father Donald Cozzens, an author, psychologist, and Catholic seminary president says that there is such a high percentage of gay priests in the church that he is concerned that "the priesthood is or is becoming a gay profession."
A 2004 survey by John Jay College of Criminal Justice found that, of 10,667 individuals abused by priests between 1950 and 2002, 81 percent were male.
"Additionally the Philadelphia Diocese situation shows the importance of the Boy Scout's policy not to allow homosexuals as Scout leaders as one of the priests abused boys in his Boy Scout troop," Gramley observed.
"Victims of priests of the Philadelphia Diocese represent the tens of thousands young men around the nation who have been victimized. The AFA of PA commends the pope for his efforts to investigate the U.S. seminaries and work to prevent such abuse in the future," commented Gramley.

They (Jim Gamble) are now insisting that the term 'child pornography' is verboten as per the demands of the pornography sector. Catholics and some local politicians were banned from the conference. A British intelligence agency, invited extreme pornographers cartel from the United States to Belfast. The intention of the Belfast conference was to authorize the 'cultural exception' protocol for Budapest etc.
Hungary may legalize porn involving 14- to 17-year-olds for home ... 19 Feb 2007 ... BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — A bill modifying Hungary's penal code could allow pornographic material involving 14- to 17-year-olds to be made ...

Re: UK Government Caught at “Child Protection” Conference with Porn Industry
Fri, July 4, 2008 - 12:55 AMHe was wrong. He'd an position on Catholicism. That makes a fool of him. The real deal was espionage by NCIS (now CEOP) in the USA The article was true. The Brits want to tell us who we can arrest. They also want us to pay for everything. And if they stab us in the back, which is very likely, we have to pay for that as well.
The Bits mostly resent the FBI identifying their pedophile teachers. Unlike the USA, they dpn't like arresting teachers, that's hush hush. So CEOP has the job of blocking progress on the child pornography front.

So Yyou didn't make a point. It's a pro-Vatican web-site. What you think their abortion coverage is like? As a point of fact a Brit intel agency was involved in espionage in the USA, making alliances with ultra extreme pornographers, some of who they brought to Belfast. Jim Gamble is telling the American people what they're paying for and wehat the gig is.
There were a lot of people who objected to the fact that the James Bond people (MI6) were controled by the Soviets, and were leaking our secrets, which they were. The Kim Philby thing. If you want a comparison, it is like the HIV thng, when criminals infiltraed that. The same deal exactly.
On Thursday 19 February 2004, IOM and the European Parliament co-hosted a meeting in Brussels to discuss the findings of a worrying report focusing on the infiltration by criminal networks of counter-trafficking structures in participating EU, EU candidate and selected neighbouring countries. The research, funded by the European Commission Justice and Home Affairs Directorate’s Hippokrates Programme 2002, surveyed both law enforcement and other agencies working to combat human trafficking, and NGOs and other victim support agencies.
