My friend Diane, is the yoga instructor and owner, (BTW, she's great if you're thinking of starting yoga practice) asked me to hang a few pieces for Arts Arcata -so come on by and check them out! *smile* <br/> <br/>My art is my devotional contribution to the adoration and reverence of the goddess aspect I see present in all women. I use the nude female form to portray the feminine aspect of the divine and I create imagery using nature as beautiful and distinctive scenery complimenting the figure. The body of work I am currently doing will be large photo transfers onto canvas or paper, which I will paint on. The work I require of a model will be a photo session. <br/>I will then work from these images. You must be 18 years or older. I prefer someone who is not shy about thier body and willing to model nude or drapped, although some costumes will be used. No previous model experience is necessary. I like someone who can move freely, dancers are welcome. Also someone who is able to take direction is welcome. <br/>It is not nessasary that you are "Pretty" (a fashion magazine type). I like flaws and diversity, I like an unusual look. I would also enjoy photographing more ethnic types. You don't need to be tall, it doesn't matter for the kind of work I do. <br/>I work mostly with women, but would be willing to photograh men if thier look inspires me. <br/>I work fast, I perfer natural light, I create a comfortable environment. <br/>My usual arriangement is a trade of prints for your time. <div>Hi folks. <br/> <br/>Some of the figure models in this town already know me from the figure-drawing studios at HSU. My name's Tom and I'm a painter and illustrator (and ceramicist and sculptor and tattooer and college student and watercolorist and..... well, you get the picture). Some of my painting and other artwork is available here in my profile photo album here. <br/> <br/>Once in a while, I'm Iooking for models to sit for an hour or so for digital photos that'll be used in creating paintings (photos not to be published anywhere, for any reason). These photos won't be shot with the model in any particular setting, rather I'm usually shooting for portrait details, pose, clothing/skin textures and lighting/shadow variations.
