Re: perilous quotes
Mon, March 26, 2007 - 12:00 PM"Everyone succumbs to the Goddess on one level or another. Some succumb in very subtle ways, but most men succumb in very ordinary ways, without even knowing the Goddess as such. They succumb to the mass of experiences, of accumulations, of consolations. Everyone is consoled. When your consolations are ripped off, you find something else to be consoled by. One thing after the next. You don't surrender it, because you don't recognize it. So the Guru's perfect function is to undermine all this, to make the world show itself.
"I think I am getting out of line. I shouldn't say these things. 'The Goddess is beautiful. Surrender and let her show you everything.' That sounds better, right? 'Let the Goddess face you. She has bracelets and necklaces and her vagina is adorned. Don't let her turn to the Divine and show you her asshole. Let her face you with her breasts falling out.' That's the teaching of the traditions. But the Teaching of the Guru has the Goddess always facing him. He shows you where she's at, he shows you her dependence on the Absolute, and enables you to commit the sacrifice. Then it is not difficult. When the Guru shows you the true nature or condition of the Goddess, then you become capable of sacrifice. Until that time you aren't capable of it, because you are enamored by the force of life."

first some background:
I was in Utah for a month, working...
right across the street from my hotel

one of the many times I was in there
(having for a while been carrying
Chapel Perilous along with me,
{some of its more disturbed denizens
keep trying to demoralize me, to no avail})
I was walking down an aisle and saw a father with
his two daughters, the youngest one, about 3,
was leading them, and said, at least 2 or 3 times,
while I was within hearing distance,
"Stay on the middle path..."
She coulda been talking about something
different than what immediately leapt to my mind,
but then the floor wasn't duochromatically tiled,
or patterned really, in any observable way...
Plus, she was THREE!!! What three year old says
"Stay on the Middle Path!"
Gave me chills....

Re: perilous quotes
Mon, April 9, 2007 - 6:17 PMTwo Wolves
When I was just a little boy
Of all the cowboy stories
I'll always remember Grandpa's
Round the campfire's glory
The light would dance its amber glow
As the sun was going down
The moon on high in the August sky
By the campfire miles from town.
The tales he told bout the old days
And stories of the west
Made us laugh and cry with wonder
At the ones he told the best
But I'll never forget this one
I know this story's true
"Two Wolves" he called it proudly
I'll share this tale with you
His voice was calm and quiet,
Like a whisper in the wind
He told of Wolves in the mountains
And Wolves we had within
He said there's two Wolves inside of him
Both fighting hard to win
One Wolf is mean and evil
Full of hate'n greed, and sin
The other wolf is good, and fights for peace,
Happiness, friendship, kindness, and love
All the things we hold dear
With guidance from above
He said two wolves are in all of us
That includes both you and me
Each Wolf fighting for their cause
It's not so hard to see
Well, I thought about his story
Then with a big Ol' Grin
I looked at Grandpa straight away
And ask which one will win?
He paused for just a moment
His advice I'll always heed
He said the answer's simple son
It's the one you feed

Living is easy with eyes closed
Sun, April 15, 2007 - 9:49 AM
Lennon/McCartney
Lyrics:
Let me take you down
cause I'm going to strawberry fields
Nothing is real
and nothing to get hung about
Strawberry fields forever
Living is easy with eyes closed
Misunderstanding all you see
It's getting hard to be someone
but it all works out
It doesn't matter much to me
Let me take you down
cause I'm going to strawberry fields
Nothing is real
and nothing to get hung about
Strawberry fields forever
No one I think is in my tree
I mean it must be high or low
That is you can't, you know, tune in
but it's all right
That is I think it's not too bad
Let me take you down
cause I'm going to strawberry fields
Nothing is real
and nothing to get hung about
Strawberry fields forever
Always know sometimes think it's me
But you know I know when it's a dream
I think I know I mean, ah yes
but it's all wrong
that is I think I disagree
Let me take you down
cause I'm going to strawberry fields
Nothing is real
and nothing to get hung about
Strawberry fields forever
Strawberry fields forever
strawberry fields forever

nor virtue rewarded, one is forgotten as quickly as the other. The world is ruled
by power and power is obtained with money. To work is senseless, because
money cannot be obtained through work but through the exploitation of others.
And if we cannot exploit as much as we wish, at least let us work as little as we can.
Moral duty? We believe neither in the morality of man, nor in the morality of systems.
In German cities the store windows are filled with books and religious objects, but the

So let no one be surprised that rather than choose the life of Robinson Crusoe,
we prefer to put our trust in Ford. Rather than return to nature-- we vote for capitalism.
Responsibility for the world? But can a man living in a world such as ours be
responsible even for himself? It is not our fault the world is bad, and we do not want to
die changing it. We want to live-- that is all.'"

lyrics:
An unforeseen future nestled somewhere in time.
Unsuspecting victims no warnings, no signs.
Judgment day the second coming arrives.
Before you see the light you must die.
Forgotten children, conform a new faith,
Avidity and lust controlled by hate.
[the] never ending search for your shattered sanity,
Souls of damnation in their own reality.
Chaos rampant,
An age of distrust.
Confrontations.
Impulsive habitat.
Bastard sons beget your cunting daughters,
Promiscuous mothers with your incestuous fathers.
Engreat souls condemned for [all] eternity,
Sustained by immoral observance a domineering deity.
Chaos rampant,
An age of distrust.
Confrontations.
Impulsive sabbath.
On and on, south of heaven [x 4]
Lead: king
The root of all evil is the heart of a black soul.
A force that has lived all eternity.
A never ending search for a truth never told.
The loss of all hope and your dignity.
Chaos rampant,
An age of distrust.
Confrontations.
Impulsive habitat.
On and on, south of heaven [x 4] -

"People? They usually ask only stupid questions, forcing you to reply with equally stupid answers. For instance, they ask you what you do, not what you would have liked to do. They ask you what you own, not what you’ve lost. They ask about the woman you married, not about the one you love. About your name, but not if it suits you. They ask your age, but not how well you’ve lived those years. They ask about the city you live in, not about the city that lives in you. And they ask if you pray, not if you fear God.
So I’ve gotten used to answering these questions with silence. You know, when we shut up, we force others to reconsider their mistakes."
