I have been going to see Goa Gil in Oregon for a few years now and I noticed last year there wasn't much of an xlr8r. It felt like a big empty spot in the normal vibrations of Gil. I miss the fire and the people who come with it. It may already be in the works for this year, just wanted to throw it out there to see. So I guess this is a call to all who know the xlr8r on an intimate level, "please come out to Goa Gil in oregon and show us the secrets of the flame". Thank you for your time and consideration, hope to see you all again this year.

there R several reasons N that 1) there R quite a few who dont want 2 allow a centralized dance fire N their "sweet spot", 2) we wont dew xlr8r's n thee back ov thee dancefloor 4 several reasons az well A) it B cumz a "chill fire" and iz diffikult 2 tend sed fire az well az dance around it with people just sitting around it talking and drinking beer......we kan dew that when we're knot "working" LOL and B) kreates a seperation, where buy it feelz like theres thee party N front ov dj, and ritual N thee back
weave even ben told "no" N that "xlr8r N center wood take away attn from thee dj"
sew at this point theres 2 much kontrover-see, unwillingness 2 bee open from those who klaim otherwise, az thee events R painted az "spiritually N lightening" experiences....thee flyerz have alll thee rite werdz, thee thee substance lacks N tegrity and genuinity....
we have ben asked 2 "work" an "xlr8r" at an event down N thee mojave okt 16th

Wed, October 7, 2009 - 5:31 PMI have very much been missing the ritual fire and did miss it dearly at Goa Gil this year.
I liked the set up in Shasta this year, in which there were 2 oblong chill fires on either side of the dance floor and a large fire in the middle. Not in line or in the sweet spot, but it was large enough to dance around. It was hard to get people to come into the light and dance though! -
