I did it last night.
I broke the "Studio 60" habit. That show was going nowhere fast, and I couldn't force myself watch another ep.
Word is that it's only going to last one season anyway.

Re: "Studio 60" no more
Wed, November 8, 2006 - 5:55 AMIt's funny, but I don't know what they're going to put on after Heroes, I don't think they have any other shows that fit that demographic. Maybe that psychic show with the Arquette girl, which I've never seen, but I'd be willing to give that a try just to have some background going to bed noise. -

Re: "Studio 60" no more
Wed, November 8, 2006 - 1:57 PMWasn't impressed with the one ep of "Medium" I saw, and its title aptly describes my interest level in the show.
And Patricia Arquette used to be a full-on hottie, but now she's morphed into a soccer mom. I weep. -

Re: "Studio 60" no more
Fri, December 8, 2006 - 8:33 PMIt just got picked up for a full season -- WTF?
I find that this really show really bores me. Sorkin's dialogue has lost its zing. It's no Sports Night. The blonde irks me. The sketches blow chunks. I could go on and on and on...
I'd rather watched chopped up eps of Six Feet Under on Bravo... -

My exact words to a friend who watches it. -

Re: "Studio 60" no more
Tue, December 12, 2006 - 3:57 PMInterestingly, I started out by not watching the show, or even wanting to, given it's seemingly truly limiting scenario. But the show has started to grow on me. I buy the relationships especially between the two main guys. My wifes the one who signed on to the show first so I was gonna watch it one way or another. I've not ever watched Sports Night, or West Wing for that matter, so I don't have that to compare to. But I think for the time being I'm willing to hang with the show.
I really dig Medium. I again really buy the relationships, especially the family dynamics, as acted out by some truly stellar thespians. I agree that Arquette is no longer the sultry hottie of films like True Romance, but I feel that she really has transcended the limiting "hottie" crutch and really makes the acting task at hand look natural and easy.
Besides this I feel it to be a worthy surrogate for The XFiles that I am still silently pining over... David Ducovny! why did you have to leave the show? It's not like you've had a sparkling career since. And what about poor Scully, she was as hot as ever when you decided it was over. I'm not bitter...!? -
