I'm really enjoying Torchwood. BBC America is showing it back-to-back with the 2nd season of the reboot of Dr. Who. I really love the writing and the cast. A scifi geek's wet dream.
I've missed quite a bit of "premiere week". I just zoned it out. The season opener of CSI was pretty compelling, a real nail-biter. I hate to say part of me didn't want Sara to survive. Love Jorga Fox, but hate office romances.

But I felt that the episode was weak, actually. Lots of buildup and little payoff. The best moment of this two-parter was at the end of the last season when Grissom reveals to the whole team that he and Sara are an item.
I actually love the May-December romance between her and Grissom, because it's one of the few TV romances that has developed over several seasons that is both unusual and actually makes sense. So many shows end with two main characters getting married, which always feels contrived and tacked on; not so with CSI's very slow-to-develop relationship. The writers have even been downright coy about it, with moments in several past episodes that made you say to yourself: "Did I just see that? Was that sexual innuendo? Are they actually sleeping together?"
I just heard about "Torchwood" today, and it sounds very cool, but I feel that I need to watch "Dr. Who" first -- which I have not gotten around to. Too much effing TV to see already, and the new season just started. Looking forward to new eps of "The Tudors" and "Dexter," already watching more 'Ugly Betty" and "House" (which had a weak opener as well, since his staff is gone).
