Re: Welcome to new mmbers and role call
Tue, May 23, 2006 - 6:08 PMI had some fresh sweet cotton candy a few weekends ago at a school carnival. I hadn't had fresh cotton candy for so long that it reawakened my obsession! The time before that, I'd had some bagged cotton candy at the circus last summer. You'd think that the circus would have fresh cotton candy, right? Noooooooo. The Ringling Bros Barnum & Bailey Circus is now selling bagged cotton candy. To add insult to injury, it cost me over $10! I did get a "free" felt hat, but that didn't take the sting out of paying double digits for old cotton candy. I was also disappointed that they no longer sell those awesome flashlights.
Anyway, ever since the fresh stuff I had a few weeks ago, I have been scouring the internet. I definitely can't justify buying a professional machine, even on ebay, because it's way too expensive. I am thinking about buying the little plastic one that costs $40-60 but the reviews I read said it has a pretty small output, as in it takes about five batches to make one regular sized cone. Yikes!
