My god.

What can I say about the Alegria studio that did my Christmas and 1st birthday photography.

He managed to capture my kid. I was terrified of taking my pictures to Babies R Us...I have done that. They got a fantastically stilted photo of my kid doing a very plastic smile. I got no changes of clothes. I was in and out very fast. I was only allowed so many frames to be taken and if we didnt get a shot...Too bad.

My experience with Dave was the total opposite.

We got single shots, kid shots, family shots. we got clothing changes. He worked with my 1 year old to get her over her stranger danger and had her relaxed and dancing in front of the camera in no time! He was willing to shoot frame after frame until he caught my children in their natural state. He captured a memory of THEM, not a memory of "say cheese." but a memory of Lillie's questioning mischevious smile. a memory of Gabriel's total inability to sit still, hence the look of him NEEDING to be elsewhere...preferably where Spongebob might be...but when Lillie comes into the photos, the look of the pure love he has for his sister and how very much he adores her pours out in every frame. ( I am so showing him when he decides she must be disowned! LOL!)

I cannot think of a more enjoyable photography experience. We laughed, had fun, and caught a moment in time. That is exactly what I wanted...a moment caught and frozen, so when my children are off and away, I can remember them, small and just exploring the world and all the fun it has to offer....I couldn't have gotten that anywhere else but at Alegria.
