Re: database of moves?
Thu, September 25, 2008 - 7:25 AMNot that I am aware of, Elle.
Is it a basic move or one that a troupe has created? If you remember where you saw it you might be best off just asking someone from that troupe.
I know there is often discussion about particular moves on the FCBD site. -

here we go :D
the chorus line is doing it starting aroudn 1:03
but they have lots and lots of repetitions
in my troupe we do the arms up part once, and the hip bumps once, dunno if it's supposed to be that many repetitions but that's the move i'm talking about :D -

Re: database of moves?
Thu, September 25, 2008 - 10:08 AMPretty sure that's what Fat Chance calls Choo-choo doubles. If you have their vol. 4 (advanced workshop) it's on that DVD. -

Re: database of moves?
Thu, September 25, 2008 - 11:08 AMYes, Jaiyana--you're right it's Choo-choo Doubles! It can be done in place; you can also use it to move.

Re: database of moves?
Thu, September 25, 2008 - 9:27 AMDefinitely post the question over on the ATS tribe; since it's an official Fat Chance move, I'm sure it has some sort of a name. :-) Our troupe does the move, but names....names are a loose, tricky thing with my group. I look forward to hearing what this one is called!
(I'm pretty sure we call it double forward and back bumps, being all descriptive and stuff)
Good luck! -

Re: database of moves?
Thu, November 6, 2008 - 2:46 PMYes, double choo choos! But 2 hip bumps at a time.......arm up....2 bumps....arm down.....2 bumps and so on. You could do this as many times as you want I suppose. Then there's single choo choos but arms are at shoulder heighth (sp?) the whole time and you can rotate forwards or backwards and on that one it's single hip bump but foot goes forward and back ( one bump each) and so on. Does this make sense? Hard to explain in words for me. -

Re: database of moves?
Thu, November 6, 2008 - 2:48 PMOh ya and in double choo choo when the arm is up foot is forward when arm goes down to shoulder height foot is back.
