Re: our clip on youtube
Sun, June 1, 2008 - 7:31 AMBeautiful!!! I loved the dancing and zilling. The music was a nice "background"--I actually stopped listening to it and only heard your zilling and watched your dancing! Thank you for sharing. -

Mon, June 2, 2008 - 7:00 AMthanks Kali, but you're hurting my feelings! No, just kidding! haha
Those gals did do a good job, am very proud of them - and they're fun to be with, AND nice!

Tue, June 3, 2008 - 10:50 AMI agree, Kali! Their zilling is great :). I enjoyed it so much, I missed it when they weren't zilling. The music is perfect for showcasing it. I enjoyed watching the leads trade off. Nicely done. Seems like everyone was centered and grounded.
And yes, thank you for sharing! :) -

Thu, June 5, 2008 - 5:21 AMThank you so much! Since I started teaching ITS & using it to teach playing cymbals, THAT has gone a LOT easier than before when I just taught oriental. ack! What an unexpected bonus - but thank God for it! -

Tue, June 10, 2008 - 1:47 PMWow! Nice job Anthea! How did you mange to cue the zill pattern changes? Or did you plan it around the music?? -

Sat, June 21, 2008 - 3:49 AMhi Joyce,
sorry just saw your question - the patterns are linked to two combinations each, so they are a habit after a while..... now you know our secret - we don't think! haha

Re: our clip on youtube
Mon, June 9, 2008 - 9:26 AMYeah, I totally agree. When the zilling stopped I kind of went "Ack! Where'd the music go! Oh, yeah...zils... they're not playing..." It just flowed so smoothly that I completely forgot that it wasn't recorded! It just flowed together so naturally! Wow. Now THAT is what I hope my troupe looks like when we start doing improv!
