Indian Electronica is a volunteer-run online community and magazine that is published by The South Asian Press - a Canadian group established to promote multi-media production by South Asian artists in Diaspora communities around the world. Qasim Virjee founded the site in 2003 and acts as our Editor in Chief. The Design Guru Organisation produces the site and is responsible for its technical development - they're great at making websites that merge community features with powerful publishing capabilities and we highly recommend them for any web project you have in mind!
The general plan is to build a strong online community to support the Arts and Entertainment being produced around the world. This is going to require both monetary and content support - if you are a music producer, dj, photographer, artist, fashion designer or plain old (!?) person with ideas to share, get in touch and we can host your material for people to check out. We accept content submissions in all forms of media and are able to publish video/still images, animation, audio and text!
