Greetings Infinite Connections fans and clients! Though things have been quite in the communication center, it is not for lack of work. The focus over the last year has been on booking. Our roster is strong with artists playing all over the world!!!

In addition to performing at your favorite clubs and festivals, our artists are busy in the studio putting out tracks that are destroying dancefloors the world over. Here's a sneak peak at what's been going on...

Jay Selway's track "Stronghold" has been one of their most sought after singles since it was featured on Psytrance Euphoria on Ministry of Sound. Psytrance Euphoria was mixed by the legendary John '00' Fleming, and until now has been the only one with a copy of the song!

"Stronghold" is stomping fusion of melodic overtones, driving psychedelic trance and an build up that's sure to destroy any dance floor. So, after contemplating releasing it as a single for more than a year, Jay and Magnus have decided that the track should be given away for free.

L.A. chapter of CoRE devastated by fire - We Need your Help

When Matt Brawley got the call from his landlord that told him his live/work space in downtown Los Angeles was on fire, he assumed, as many of us would, that the call was a joke. But his landlord abruptly hung up the phone and didn't answer when Matt tried to call him back. Questions hammered at his head as he rushed out of the nightclub and raced home. What met his eyes, just after 3 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, eliminated all hope of it being a prank. The building in which he lived was, indeed, on fire.

The moments that followed were riddled with chaos as well as that silent reverence that comes from watching things burn and being helpless in the face of it all. He learned that the fire had started in his space, and that firefighters were working to contain it before it ravaged the homes of his neighbors (one of whom was a sound artist with a full recording studio, even). All production schedules and ideas for breakfast and plans for photo shoots and longing for sleep came to a screeching halt for Matt, the Director of the Los Angeles chapter of our performance art troupe, CoRE.

In this inferno, Matt lost everything but some dishes and family photos. Fierce were those gods of fire who took the computing equipment that has been his work for many years, all of his clothing, his furniture, his paperwork, his books, his movies...Though his business and sustenance were lost alongside the memories collected throughout a life, we have all been grateful that the devastation did not take any lives, or make ruins of any of his neighbors' homes.

The Los Angeles chapter of CoRE has been reduced to ashes. CoRE lost approximately $11,000 worth of equipment in this fire:

* Flight cases
* Rigging equipment (ropes, pulleys, daisy chains, gloves, hard hats, etc.)
* Piercing equipment (hooks, needles, nitrile gloves, masks, equipment carts, custom PVC trace receptacles, a gurney, etc.)
* Costuming (custom corseted wings, custom collars, dresses, etc.)
* Makeup
* Props
* Set pieces
* and sadly on, and on...

Our emotions run deep with gratitude as we turn to you, our larger community and the industries therein, to ask for your help in rebuilding our L.A. chapter and to help get Matt back on his feet. He has endured a great loss, and it is because of the support of others that he has been able to move forward with as much staunch determination as he has. And it's been a time of great mourning for more than just objects – we are having to start over now and work to cull the phoenix from the ashes of all the blood, sweat, and tears that our family in L.A. put into CoRE and the walls that held it. Thank you to all who have supported us in word and deed.

I've been dreaming of the ultimate chill party for many years and I am finally in a position to bring that dream (or a version of it) to life. Of course I can't do this all alone, so I've enlisted the help of Hendrik/Jaluka (the generous ringmaster of the Church of Bass) and recent Seattle transplant Adrian/Eckoe. Their excitement and passion for a similar dream gives me hope that this pipedream has actual validity beyond my skull. Together, we are shaping one tiny section of the universe into our version of chillout bliss. It's incredibly exciting to be working on a project that has lived in my head for so long and I can't wait to share it with you and the other chill-o-philes that I have yet to meet. This vision includes a comfortable environment, filled with pristine sound, soothing lights, amazing art and a soundtrack provided by the world's top ambient producers and DJs.

Celebrate chillout the way it was meant to be enjoyed - comfortably lounging in a bubble of pristine audio, with a small group of fellow chill aficionados. We're taking the chill room and putting it in it's proper place - front and center.

Gel-Sol ("IZ" CD release party)
Seattle's Gel-Sol is producer/musician Andrew Reichel, whose dichotomous sound spans from ambient soundscapes to complex, rhythmic electronica, creating a dynamic psychedelic universe with heavy emphasis on improvisation. In 2004, Gel-Sol released the critically-acclaimed Gel-Sol 1104 (aka Music Made For You...And By You, I Mean Me.) on the UK's cult ambient label Em:t Records. His follow-up album, Unifactor, continued the tradition of his unique, amorphous sound collages. A joint release between Psychonavigation and Canadian label Upstairs Recordings, his new album entitled "IZ," in his own words "Is an all-ambient adventure I wrote for my niece Izabella, who was born early last year." The album's music showcases Gel-sol's trademark melodic edge combined with sweeping synth pads reminiscent of '90s ambient albums from the likes of Pete Namlook and Global Communication.

Before joining together, each of them had made a name for themselves performing and recording as solo artists and with other groups. In the meantime, Peter was entertaining crowds at art festivals both state-side and around the world with his stellar bass playing and penchant for weird noise, outrageous costumes and whimsical theatrics. Susan was all over the place: getting international airplay as the singer for a gothic-electronic band and as a featured vocalist on two world music albums--and perfecting her innovative vocal stylings through collaborations with classical, electronic and experimental artists around the world. EQlateral is a fascinating juxtaposition of world-class classical musicianship, electronica and avante garde artistry. Expect soaring soundscapes, irresistable grooves, eerie ambience, comedic mash-ups and much more. The ensemble regularly collaborates with other musical, performance and multimedia artists and are looking forward to sharing their unique sound with audiences in Europe in 2008.

How many ways can I say thank you!

At the end of each event, I sit back in complete awe at what just happened. There are so many people

that work together to make each event a success. In the case of Kinetic 3, the list is longer than ever. We

started this event series when three people had the idea of unifying the electronic music culture of Seattle at the Pacific Science Center, and we have succeeded. The diversity of people coming together for each night is amazing and I am humbled to think that I

have a part in making it happen. Thank you to everyone from Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, B.C., and all the

other cities and countries around the world that make the pilgrimage to Seattle twice a year.

A few special shout outs:

Brian - I am in awe at your dedication to this event and all of Infinite Connections. Thank you for being here

when I could not. Working with the talent, promoting, playing, supporting... you are invaluable.

Jesiah and all of LUCID Audio (TProphet, Tony...) - Jesiah you are my go-to guy for all my sound and power needs. It is so wonderful to have you back. Each room was at its peak because your dedication to high fidelity shines.

Jen Parraz - I value you so much, you have to know that. Coat check, vendors, concessions... so much for one person to handle and you did it beautifully. Thank you for being a part of the team.

Nicole Williams - The newest kid on the block. You picked up the art curator role with grace and beauty. I am so excited to see what you do with your next set of tasks. Your continued knowledge acquisition through school and work is going to make you a force in this industry.

Betsy and Jenny at PSC - You give and you give and you give... that should be the motto of your staff. Thank you for your continued support in making these events happen. We look forward to working with you every time.

Osiris - We can never underestimate the importance of the visual elements. You provide this series with an identity that shapes the decisions we make. Thank you for using color to bring Magnetic/Kinetic to life... and for cleaning up the smoking section at the end of the night.

Ramiro and Uniting Souls - I never have enough good things to say about the lineup in the house room or your volunteers. Every time, I am blown away by your choice in talent and the way you weave them together to create a room that is bumpin' all night long!

Sean and Broken Disco (Recess, Patrick, Matt) - One of the best decisions we ever made was bringing you on board. Your room provided us with a much needed element. I look forward to the next time.

Kimberly and Chickenhed (yes, you too A'damn) - I'm always a little hesitant, but I am never disappointed. As always, I am blown away by the creativity and music. I am so excited that you are a part of this experience, I can't wait to see what you come up with next time. And a special W00t to Kimberly for herding this motley crew together; that is a HUGE task.

Jon and Space Virgins - Efficiency, competency and most of all, FUN! So many good things to say about the bars. The drinks are always stiff, the bartenders always sexy and the overall experience makes me want to spend many hours there. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Kristina (Gnome) - My right-hand woman. There is no task too big or too small for you. You filled some very big shoes and I am eternally grateful. You blow me away with your skills and gracious attitude. I have much to learn.

Emily and Andrew - I have so many levels of thank you that it is hard to know where to begin. Thank you for coming to our rescue with a truck, multiple times, thank you for the food, thank you for staying late and making sure we had everything... basically, thank you for being there. Every time I eat a dark chocolate egg, I will think of you.

Obsidian Moon (Kiymbah and Chris) - Stunning performances in the IOSIS Art Party room. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

Seizure Labs (Etienne, Kevin and Manuel) - Innovation is the best word I can use to describe you. You are never content with the status quo and for that I am truly thankful. It is a joy to walk into the IOSIS Art Party room and not know what I am going to expect from the visuals. Keep it coming.

Yuba Foxfire - You saved us from the number one complaint we got last time, too much light in the IOSIS Art Party room. Thank you for getting up on that scissor lift and saving us from the emergency lights that have to stay on all night. And as if that wasn't enough, you turn around and do some great visuals for the Broken Disco room... WOW!

Jodi from Sodo Pop and all the Box Office staff - No one was in line for more than a short while and that was because of you and your staff. It is so good to know that I never have to worry about what is going on at the door because you have it all taken care of.

Tabasco and all the Security team - Just reading through all the reviews proves to me that you are the best man for the job. You and the security team you assemble are fantastic! I can't imagine what I would be going through without you.

All the musical performers - It would be hard to call you each out by name, but rest assured that we know who you are. You provided the true spirit of this event with your music. Don't ever stop!

Extra thanks to all the volunteers that came early to help setup - you are the elite few that make the last minute magic happen; Kati and Sean for volunteering to wristband early in the evening; Shapey and Lynne for the use of their tent; Joe and Rhonda for taking care of Eitan and getting us our badly needed sand; BrownPaperTickets for making the whole ticketing process so smooth; our amazing vendors (Cleo, Tami, Angel, Gary) that brought you snacks, toys and costumes...

It takes many people to run this event and each one deserves to be appreciated for what they bring. If I missed anyone, it is not because you are not important, but because my brain can only hold so much information at one time. Know that you are valued and then next time you see me, I give you permission to give me a small shove (I said SMALL!).

I would love to be able to guarantee that there will be a Magnetic IV, but to be honest at this time we are not sure. There was a bit of damage to the Pacific Science Center and both sides are evaluating if we can continue. The extra expense of the cleanup adding to the raised PSC cost we experienced this year may tip the scales and make this an unsustainable event. From the PSC, they are not sure if they can handle the amount of cleanup and broken exhibits they experienced this time nor do they know if the animals can continue to handle the noise. If you would like to see Magnetic/Kinetic continue, ask yourself if you could go there without your string toys (thing attached to strings swing around and break exhibits), would you be willing to pay just a little more for your presale tickets and do you know of any businesses that would like to be a part of this through sponsorship or vending? These are the questions we have to ask not just ourselves, but you, our patrons. It is the answers to these questions that will determine whether or not Magnetic IV happens in November as planned.

AION NYE Party and faulty CD

The party was great, especially the IOSIS Art Party room.

I'm wondering if there is a site from which to download the content of the CD I received as part of my complimentary goodie package? When I got home and pulled the CD out of its sleave, the label came off along with a fair amount of the recording media. Iow, the CD is toast. Another CD would/could be nice, but I'd just as soon download it.

Any thoughts?
