what is a torrent and a bit anyway? I have already watched some bit torrent videos......why do i need a client now?
in a bit of a torrent here -

Re: Informative Multimedia Sites and Downloads
Sun, January 22, 2006 - 3:41 PMUnfortunately, I know squat about Mac. I believe Java originated with Apple, though (could be wrong), so I'm sure it works.
A bitTorrent client just facilitates the downloading of Torrents, which are files with the .torrent extention. Just like you use a media player to open media files, you use the client to open torrent files. Actually, you download the .torrent file with a regular browser, then open the torrent file with the client, then the .torrent file directs the client to the tracker, which links up the download. (I think that's right... don't know too much about the technical specifics of bitTorrent)
There are different clients, the most basic one I've seen being the one offered by the creator of bitTorrent. Azureus is a lot more advanced.
How have you been downloading torrents without a client?

I haven't listened to it yet, but I've been wondering for a long time if Jones would ever interview Maxwell. He's got Jordan in a short clip in one of his films, but I would guess Jones doesn't agree with everything Maxwell has to say re: Christianity and the origins of religion, so I was wondering if an interview would ever happen. Can't wait to hear it myself.

My favorite part: As individuals are displayed on the screen, their names and positions or claim to fame is noted, eg: "Woodrow Wilson: US President." Eventually, we get to see "Henry Kissinger: Big-Time Motherfucker." :D
