Here is the link to the yahoo group for the gathering:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/a_gorean_celebration/

Here is the link to the gathering radio:
http://24.71.81.47:8000/

The main focus of this gathering is to give the gorean community a chance to work together and network with one another. It will give the opportunity for online and real life to mesh comfortably together in a fun friendly atmosphere.

The setting: 10 acres of lakefront private property, that is secluded enough for slaves to go naked if desired. There is a lake, restrooms, and a gazebo. A small ren faire type village is in the works to be set up at one end of the area, and there will be a main central fire. There will be several large fire pits for barbequing and the menu will follow a gorean theme. Games and festivities will abound with games such as kajira hogtying, and pony (slave) cart rides throughout the encampment, along with some dancing and serving competitions. There will be demos to watch and vendors to purchase from.

When: August 25-27, 2006

Though Goreans typically do not like rules, with this being a real life event some need to be put in place. This is to ensure safety, and respect for the property. We all desire to have a gorean gathering with the structure it provides. We cannot, however, forget that many here will be strangers and that laws and common sense cannot be forgotten.

The Rules:

Nothing is done without consent.
Those wishing to maintain a more book-like lifestyle at this event and capture/sell slaves, etc. need to state that at the entrance so that wristbands can be provided to distinguish from those who do not wish to participate in that. Any attempt to engage with A/any not wearing a wristband will end with that person being asked to leave.
Must be 21 years of age. Though many lifestyles require only to be 18 years of age, because there will be alcohol on the premises, the legal drinking age must be followed. Dungeon Masters, and Security men will have their hands full without having to go around carding everyone. All will be required to show valid ID at the entrance, and those not old enough will not be permitted, please do not do this to yourself especially if you are coming from out of state. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS.
Alcohol is frowned on, but must be done responsibly if it is used. Partaking in alcohol may prohibit you from being able to participate in some of the games and activities, even asked to leave if necessary. For example, if a Free Person (a Dominant) has been drinking heavily and went to the ax-throwing contest, they will most likely be told they cannot participate in that activity at that time. If some choose to play there will be Dungeon Masters monitoring and if A/any have been thought to have too much to drink to play safely the scene will be stopped. Alcohol is not provided. Remember alcohol use is not preferred, and that is for the safety of A/all concerned.
Nothing is done without consent.
Wearing a wristband and participating as in the books does not entitle any person to hurt or harm another person Free or slave. Any attempts to fight with, or beat on a slave will result in that person asked to leave. The wristband does not allow you the free reign of an unowned slave as was allowed in the books. While the slaves will be here trying to be pleasing to all Free, the common sense of life must prevail. To the slaves while you will be given measures to prevent your harm, you must use common sense and must remain respectful at all times.
Drugs and any other illegal activities are strictly prohibited, and will result in whoever is partaking to be asked to leave.
Unowned slaves are not free game for Any and All. This is Gor, however it is Earth as well. Unowned slaves will be provided with a Keeper, and their word must be respected.
Nothing is done without consent.
This event is as much of a gorean event as it is possible to make it. This is a gathering of gorean Free and slaves, not subs. Not wearing a wristband does not give any slave the right to act anything other than as a gorean slave is expected to behave.
All must sign a waiver form at the entrance to gain entry. No exceptions.
Privacy of others' identities is mandated. No one has the right to out another's lifestyle. All who attend must maintain respect.

Greetings All,

A girl is very excited at how nicely the gathering is shaping up.
There are a few things that need to be communicated on, which is the
purpose of this post.

1. Carpools. There are those who are driving, and or flying, and some
who have no transportation who wish to attend. If You are in need of
a carpool, or if You have a car and can help transport those needing
it, please let girl know. Lets show strong community and help one
another out, so we can all attend the gathering and have lots of fun
times together.

2. Poll. A girl has put in a poll, this is a MANDATORY poll that only
one member of each group of people need answer, and just give an idea
of how many they think are going to be in their group. This is a
tentative headcount, and girl fully expects it to change closer tot
eh date, but it will give her a starting point. Remember, we all want
the gathering to go nice and smooth, and this requires Your support
as well :)

3. Extra Items. There are many who are traveling from far away, even
as far as England and Canada. Airports limit how much baggage one can
bring with them, so there will be a lot of people needing the use of
tents and any kind of camping gear, that they are unable to bring. If
you are able, and have extra, please bring it with you, and again,
contact this girl, as she is keeping a running tally of who is
bringing what kind of extras, to ensure everyone has bedding, and a
tent to sleep under. Many things are needed, and the more that anyone
can bring with them, the less a girl has to buy, which will continue
to keep the cost of the gathering as low as possible, which is in
everyone's best interest. Some examples are ice chests, serving
dishes, camp stoves, candles. Everything can and will be labled to
ensure its prompt return to its owner. Many of girls local community
network are donating tents and such for the gathering, and with your
continued support, girl is sure this can and will be accomplished
smoothly. If you have something, but are unsure if it will be needed,
please email a girl. Because so many are coming from out of town, if
You plan on bringing something extra like a tent, please contact a
girl, so she can keep her list updated, she doesn't wish to purchase
unnecessary items, if it is already being brought.

4. Sewing and Costuming. There are several who have offered to sew
everything from pillows, silks, costumes, and Homestone banners. This
is a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis. If you are interested in having
anything made for you, all you need to is contact a girl, provide the
material and the pattern you wish to use. She can then either let you
know of someone in your own area, or if not, then somone from her own
local area who has agreed to help sew. This needs promp attention and
needs to be started early, so those who are sewing do not get hit
with a ton of orders just before the gathering.

5. Volunteers. Volunteers are needed for many activities, help with
the serving of food, setting up for different activities, and
participating in the dancing and possibly a serving competition. We
all want to have fun and enjoy ourselves at this event. Hence, we are
asking only for an hour or so of Your time throughout the weekend. We
are hoping to do this on a rotating schedule, to ensure that all get
to have fun and enjoy the festivities. We all know that any event has
to have volunteers, without them, the weekend would not happen.
Please let this girl know how much time You can donate to ensure that
we all enjoy ourselves.

6. Donations. If You are in a position to donate any items that you
think will help enhance the gathering event, please let girl know. A
girl is keeping a running tally on these items, and is very excited
at the response she has gotten. A girl thinks herself, as well as
many others are hoping this turns into an annual affair, and these
items help greatly with that possibility. Anything and everything can
be donated, with nothing being too big or small. To show some of the
support the gathering has already received, there are those who are
donating candles, rugs, plywood, material for silks and pillows, and
the list goes on.

7. Photography. While it would be impossible to ban and regulate the
use of cameras at the gathering, a few things need to be said about
it. Firstly, photos must be done with consent. Secondly, any and all
photos taken of anyone at the gathering must be treated respectfully,
and not used in any way shape or form which would cause anyone undue
harm in their real life. Thirdly, please ensure if you do post any
pictures on the web, or a personal site, that either you have full
consent of all those within the picture(s), if you can not receive
their consent, please ensure to blur out any features which could
identify them, and cause them harm within their lives.

8. Activities. Due to the number of people planning on attending, it
is needed for any and all to let girl know if you are planning on
participating in some of the competitions. Soon there will be an
iteniery in the files section which will list who you need to speak
to in regards to what activity you are planning on participating in.
This is especially important for the dancing and serving
competitions.

9. Food. A girl is working on the menu now for the gathering. The
menu will be a bit varied, however if there are any with special
needs, a girl needs you to contact her ASAP so she can formulate that
in. Soon there will be a full menu of whats going to be served in the
files section that you will be able to print out and take with you,
and it will also list the ingredients of each of the dishes, to
ensure safety for all.

Fondly referred to as "Leather Day in the Park," SCLG was founded with the aim of providing an opportunity for bdsm and leather folk to interact in a relaxed atmosphere, have fun and raise awareness about the size and diversity of the Leather/BDSM groups that exist in and around Southern California. Groups/clubs are welcome and encouraged to bring their club colors/banners and to provide literature about their groups.

ATTIRE

Many folks wear comfortable, casual clothing that you would typically wear to a picnic. Others wear casual leather/fetish clothing which is perfectly acceptable, as long as it is "street legal", meaning: One inch of clothing covering the middle of the rear. The basic rule of thumb is that, if your clothing covers less than what a skimpy bathing suit would cover, you may want to rethink what you will wear.

DIRECTIONS

Take the 60 Freeway.
Off at Santa Anita Ave. exit toward SOUTH EL MONTE.
Left on N. Santa Anita Ave.
Continue until almost the end of the N. Santa Anita Ave
Turn left into driveway with sign that says Group Picnic Area.
Drive to almost the end of the parking lot to find parking nearest Group 1 area.

Anniversary and International Ms Bootblack (IMsBB), its 8th. Join us in
Omaha, Nebraska on July 14-16, 2006 to look back on our history and to
help shape the future.
Whether this is your first IMsL or your 20th, this is a MUST ATTEND
event for everyone - female, male, trans, gay, straight, bi, etc.

Experience an energy that spans two decades—add your spirit to this
gathering of leatherfolk. Let the community embrace you.

All women are welcome to compete, regardless of experience or other
titles.

If you care about the community and want to add your voice and
vitality to the continuation of our clan, then you are just the type of
woman we want to compete.

This year we’re adding a twist to the contest! In honor of our 20th
anniversary, every former IMsL has been invited to judge. Those who
accept, however many that may be, will make up the judging panel. This
will be an amazing experience—so if you've been waiting for the “right”
year to compete, this is it!

If you'd like to give a lecture or demo during this ‘reunion’ weekend
celebration, send a synopsis and bio to zack@KCLeatherUniversity.com.

Registered guests can attend workshops, shop at our vendor fair,
attend a dungeon party, participate in a tattoo contest or join us on
casino trips. There will be a basket auction and proceeds will benefit
the winners’ travel fund.

Come enjoy a hot show at the MAX, share a toast at the victory brunch,
relax at the annual Sunday pool party at an indoor pool, reserved just
for us!

It promises to be an un'beat'able weekend!

Visit our website at www.imsl.org for the applications to register
(package price is$75 per person ) or applications to compete for IMsL
or IMsBB. On the website, you will find information about how to donate
prizes, advertise, host a reception, hotel registration and other
information. As well as being informative, the site lets you browse
through a photo gallery of hot past titleholders and others involved
with IMsL.

We encourage anyone interested in competing to contact us for
information. Contact information is on the website.

Make this the year you attend—again, or for the first time

i would like to introduce myself if that's ok. i am blue, a 48 yo BBW submissive, and i have been interested in learning and living this life for about 12 years now. Well, much longer then that, but didn't know it had a name before that. hehe i relocated to this area about 5 years ago from upstate NY. Before coming here i trained for a year in a rl Gor house, loving the depth of the submission, but hating the instigating antics of the other slaves. my interest is in the feeling of being controlled by the Dominant, mind and body.
i run a chat room on IRC's bondage.com called #BBW-Garden. A special home for E/everyone. We have regulars from all over, and alot from California as well, unfortunately most from northern California. Would like to invite Y/you to come and visit and chat with some wonderful people who share similar interests.
Thanks for this great forum, and for letting me share it.

Ok.. I went to my very first MUNCH this last Monday evening.. I didn't even know they had them in the evening! I thought they were like a brunch or something.. in the late mornings. ::rolling eyes at myself:: go figure huh? Well anyway.. it was fun.. I was really nervous because I'm really basically a very shy person, I know it's hard to believe. Even people who know me find this hard to believe, but I really am shy. I'm the type of person who goes to parties and such.. and I hold up the walls! And I'm really good at it too, not one single wall has fallen when I've been around. But this Munch was nice, the people were very friendly and talkative, and I wasn't the only person there who was new. There was a discussion on an actual topic where people put in what they thought about it. I really enjoyed it. I think I am going back next month as well, although I'm still nervous, I still want to try and keep going.

Is there anyone else who goes to a MUNCH on a regular basis, or might want to go?

Hello!

i received an invitation to join this group and am doing so to support the effort of finding bdsm and leather folk in and near the inland Empire.

my name is pug and i'm a heterosexual female slave and pup that happens to be part of 2 gay leather families. i am actively involved in a number of leather and bdsm groups both in the heterosexual/pansexual community as well as the gay leather community.

i am also the founder of an event called SCLG - Southern California Leather Gathering, which is a picnic event for all gender and orientations of bdsm/leather/kink/fetish/bear groups in Southern California. The event is held the first Saturday in June. The past 4 years it has been at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas, however we will have a new location this year. More info. about the event can be found at http://www.sclg.org/

There are a couple of groups of bdsm folks that are within the San Bernardino/Riverside area. The following is NOT a comprehensive list, nor is it an endorsement for any of the following, but simply a offering information for those that i have either a website or message board URL for.

One of those groups is the Inner Circle, which hosts socials and other events. They have a Yahoo message group: InnerCircleSoCal@yahoogroups.com

Another message groups that also sometimes holds socials and events in the Inland Empire - though a bit more toward the Riversaide area, is The Rose Garden. Their message group can be found at: TheRoseGarden@yahoogroups.com

One group out that way is Paddlers and you can find information about them at: http://www.paddlers-bdsm.com/

Another group out toward Apple Valley is one that focuses more on a formal, structured type of D/s dynamic and is called the SoCal Formal D/s Society. Their message group can be found at: SoCal_Formal_Ds_Society@yahoogroups.com

Respectfully,
~ slave pug
