Twenty-five days before Camp Inspiratum breaks ground, we will have our first (and only) camp meeting for Inspiratum.
This is the one opportunity we have to work out camp details, talk about travel and arrival, and exodus, and all that comes with our little home on the playa. We will finalize the camp roster, talk about early arrivals, present the camp map and overall plan, and discuss outstanding camp projects. If you have been looking for something that you can contribute to camp, this is the place to find inspiration.
At seven o'clock we will hold the camp meeting; and directly after we will have our one and only mandatory participation in a work night. There are a few projects that are essential to the living spaces in camp and that really need to be tackled. The camp Kiosk should be a fun carpentry project and then there is the issue of shade in camp and then camp flagging. Mayor Greenberg is the keeper of the list and expect to see something from him about what all needs to be done.
We are a camp of self-supporting individuals who coexist in our creative corner of the Black Rock Desert for one week out of the year. What we contribute, what we give freely to each other and to our camp is what makes our camp exceptional, free of drama, and a comfortable place to live. In Inspiratum we do not have expectation, we give thanks. Thanks to Nova for the shower, thanks to Jay for the glow stick shooters, thanks to you for what you bring to camp, whatever that is. This year we evolve into one camp meeting and still no monetary camp fees. Even evolution is best in moderation!
There are many people who are camping with us who are not on tribe, please pass this message along to them so that everyone stays informed.
Be there or have a darn good excuse!

Laboratorium III - Thanks to Don and Shirley for the help with the Exploratorium and for taking on the Corn Hole project! Cindy came and pitched in and is now an Exploratorium mister system expert, even though she blew the pvc pipe up! :) Harmony dressed up the Exploratorium with brand new rope lights that are now permanent and will make setup on the playa about two hours easier! Overall it was a great night from EL wire to carpet and the excitement is building. Best of luck to everyone and their projects.
