Laboratorium VII - Friday May 16 6:00 - 10:00 pm
Seven Laboratoria left and 105 days until the man burns! Time seems to be moving faster.
Last week was quiet with a little bit of work on Playa Games. The main project was "Corn Hole". Thanks to the newbie Don that project is off to a good start.

This coming Laboratorium we will back to our tradition of working on Bikes! Kevin will be moved in by then as will Zoom Zoom and the shop should be very functional. There are even some rumors of fire spinners using the time to practice!
Bring a bike or a project or come help finish Corn Hole or paint the Playa Lounge or even make some furniture of your own. We still have plywood, plans and tools so all you need is inspiration!

Laboratorium is an opportunity to gather, design, create, and get inspired by each other and the projects that we work on. Laboratorium is the gift of Captain Chuck and Zoom Zoom as they open up their shop as a place to put together a costume, build a bike, work on trinkets and things to give away. It is also a great time to spin fire, socialize, and keep connected. Laboratorium is the home of Camp Inspiratum and is open to anyone who dares to be inspired whether that is a first time burner or one of the seasoned Foothill folk. This is a work party that happens every other Friday until the burn and each Laboratorium is one step closer, that is why the numbers count down.

From HWY 50:
Exit Sunrise, North
Coloma Rd. - turn right
Gold Meadow Way - turn left
From Folsom & the Foothills:
Take Sunrise Blvd. South toward Rancho Cordova
Coloma Rd. - (across the American River and three lights) turn left
Gold Meadow Way - turn left
2376 Gold Meadow Way.
Parking is plentiful after hours. pick a spot!

Wed, May 7, 2008 - 5:18 PMWow time is flyin! Yer not kiddin man. 'Feel bad I haven't made it to more than the one but State parks have weekends wrapped up pretty good for me. I pushed everything off of June 13th though and swear to everything firey and divine I'll be there. 'Might even have Citrus (known as Kelley in lesser circles) along. By the way, I had a general contractor tell me PVC tube will get soft in the desert heat. 'Sounds like field pie to me. Anybody know for sure? -

I am sure that it will soften a bit but plenty of people use that to hold things up so I would not worry too much about that. If you are concerned, just go with larger pipe.
