The rumours are true.

In order to in:sure that In:Vision will continue to evolve; we have decided to take a page from the book of the Boom Festival, Samothraki and other festivals within our circle and make In:Vision a bi-annual event.

This year a big part of our crew will be travelling to Portugal to contribute heavily to the infrastructure of the Boom, so we figured this would be a good year to take off.

Stay close, upload picture and invite friends to this tribe. We will keep you updated.

The new website will be up this summer with videos, music samples and pictures from previous years, but your contribution to this tribe will begin an archive that can be added to the new sight when it is up...

We thank all of you for your contributions in the past and we look forward to the future of this unique project.

Crystal Creek work party Jun 7

There will be a work party on Saturday, June 7th at Crystal Creek

this is partially to prepare for Entheos, however it will mostly be about doing work to benefit Crystal Creek in general

one day only, there will likely be some chilling out (maybe drumming?) into the evening but they’ve asked for no camping overnight

people can crash at Margot & Eduardo's house in Gibsons if needed

BRING TOOLS & GARDENING EQUIPMENT

this is a great way to give back to this magical piece of land & have fun!

Caravajal15 residenza dinamica
Orvieto \ Italy
International Projects 2008

Hello!
We are happy to announce that Simone Forti will be again the guest artist of our residence, for giving her intensive residential workshop “Logomotion Writing Workshop”.
The intensive workshop with Simone Forti is in the ambit of our international projects 2008, and will be from March 8 to 15 2008 in the beautiful Etruscan city of Orvieto, in mid Italy.
The workshop is limited to 16 participants.
The intensive workshop will be held at the headquarters of the cultural Association Caravajal15 residenza dinamica, in the prestigious sixteenth century rooms of the Palazzo Caravajal-Simoncelli.
The fee is 400 euros, which includes also hospitality, reception and meals.
Application for registration is open from October 15th.
For information write to: info@contactfestival.it, or telephone to +39 0763.341479.
Info and texts below.

Simone Forti \ Logomotion Writing Workshop
Intensive residential workshop
8-15 March 2008
maximum 16 participants
7-day workshop, plus one day pause
fee 400 euros (including meals and lodging)
pre-registration: 150 euros

Logomotion Writing Workshop
Sometimes our words don't have access to what we know in our bones.
In this workshop we will be improvising moving and speaking, and we will be writing.
While our writing will stimulate our imagination and support our improvisations, our improvisations will enrich our writing with a kinesthetic timing to phrasing and windows on sudden thoughts and memories.
Our activities will include studio sessions of improvisational moving and speaking, spontaneous writing, walks in town, with partners, for conversations about matters large and small, and private times to write and to craft our writings and to read them to each other.
We will borrow from the writing practice of Natalie Goldberg as found in her books “Writing Down the Bones” and “Wild Mind”, discovering the associations that gather spontaneously around a chosen point of departure.
As our movement work will include many activities in partners and in groups, some of our writing will include more than one voice, focusing on the relationships between the thoughts of different people.
A goal will be to write with wild mind and intention, and with awareness of world.

Jennifer Dunning writes in her 1991 New York Times review: “Simone Forti presented her first dance program in 1960 and has since then had a steadily increasing influence on post-modernist choreographers interested in exploring ‘natural’ or non-formalist movement and dance”.

THIS POSTING WORKS!! Tech/Prog/Psy Motion Notion 2007 mix by Sons of Aurora

Sorry about the multiple postings, for some reason my previous two attempts ended up with empty postings. Grrr..... so now I am doing them one by one. =)

Norris and I had a blast at Motion Notion (Alberta, Canada) this year, the promoter James really out did himself and the weather was INTENSE but made for big adventures for sure.

We are now excited for our dub/glitch set at Shambhala (British Columbia, Canada) on the Beach stage on Saturday, and of course taking part in the Green Moon (Green Sector & Moon Tribe, hello turbo sound rig!!) camp at Burning Man (Nevada, USA) this August... now that's going to be one hot (+50 Celsius, zero humidity is the forecast) and dusty week in the desert. We will be wrapping up our summer festival season this year by playing at the Symbiosis gathering (California, USA) at the end of September so we are feeling very lucky for having so many incredible opportunities to play some tunes for folks.

I have a bunch of great photos from gatherings and festivals in my photo gallery, and I have just added a bunch from Motion Notion, you can find them here:

Description:

We are VERY happy with how our set came together for this years Motion Notion festival, so we decided to record it afterwards here at home and post it up for others to enjoy. This year we were wedged between two full-on psy performers, with Wizzy Noise being the act to follow us, so our set was meant to be a roller coaster through driving minimal tech, progressive and full-on psy. Add to that the fact that our set started out with hot dry sky's filled with stars and ended during a MASSIVE rain/thunder storm with tornado warnings for the area in effect... talk about INTENSE!!!! In the end our laptop finally stopped working and our fear was that it had actually shorted out due to the rain but the next day it started up without a hitch which was a HUGE relief. Our goal was to keep everyone engaged, twist a few noodles and not burn people out on the full-on. From all the super-positive feedback I think we managed to kick some ass!! Many of the tracks are killer classics, with a few shinny new ones thrown in, and the overall flow is a bit of a journey so sit back and imagine the thunder clouds closing in from behind, and as the mix ends the rain is coming down with a vengeance and the clouds are swirling with the threat of tornadoes. They don't call us Sons of Aurora for nothing....

Enjoy!!

Intentional Dance Culture Conference May 18,19 2007 (Vancouver BC)

This is kind of a note from the culture lab of Tribal Harmonix which is planning its first conference Friday May 18 and 19 in Vancouver on the Canadian Victoria Day weekend tentatively being named Intention Convention. The impetus for this was sparked when we heard through the grapevine about a wonderful opportunity for some community building while scouting venues for the 10th annual Earthdance Vancouver and later for our 8th annual Intention Retreat. We chose not to go with this venue but bookmarked it for a potential spring conference. 2007, Year of the Boar is the fertile time and things are beginning to happen in planning this out and i want to sound out a call to my network to see who might be within range of interest and availability for this event which will have a strong local community flavour (since we gots that here) and (i am invoking now..) a strong westcoast and beyond flavour. This will follow on the heels of the 8th annual Faeries & Fools Masquerade on the Sunshine Coast the weekend before (www.fairiesandfools.org/).

The last and only real intentional dance culture conference that has ever occured of this era has been the Gathering of the Tribes (www.gottribes.org) in Los Angeles which later merged with the Laytonville Earthdance in California and has since gone into hiatus. The Gathering of the Tribes Foundation which was forming had made considerable contacts and alliances to progressive organizations, speakers and allied with the Prophets Conference (www.greatmystery.org/) which brought a lot of spirituality meets science type presenters.

The inclusion of workshops in the context of festivals and events has been a strong tradition in the Lower Mainland BC tribal dance network for the past decade which I've witnessed spread down the coast to many festivals which previously had little of this. It is becoming a potent facilitator of culture crafting and I consider that the conference is a big part of the needed container to separate from the distractions of any given festival to go deep into community building.

This is a test pilot for a possible ongoing conference series that will allow the local community as well as westcoast networks and beyond to link up pre-summer for coming together and looking at where we're at while looking at where we want to be when we're older, when we have families to feed, and the contributions we can make as servant communities onto the whole of creation.

I am approaching the intentional dance culture to provide me with feedback on anything going on that weekend ( i know of the Village Building Convergence in Portland (www.cityrepair.org/ ) and aim to forge some kind of link up ) as well as back up on creating the appropriate homing signal that will bring in the needed catalysts to fine tune the strengths of this cultural movement. Part of that is linking with all resonant visionaries and community animators, to potential speakers and communities within and in proximity to the dance culture who share a knack for utilizing celebration as a tool, and have an aim towards increasing global sustainability, greening festivals, tribal economics, creation or consolidation of guilds ( www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guild -excellent reference) to harnass the potential of the cultural creative forces that we collectively wield.

And..yes we are having a celebration as part of the conference. It's going to be something Vancouver area has not seen in a long time. The potential for a massive sized event of 500-800 people going all night with access to a rooftop chillroom. There has not been a venue like this ever before in this region. This is a great gift that is coming to us and is being shared with the networks which align in the one heart nation. Tribal Federation anyone?

Stay tuned for more on this via www.tribalharmonix.org. There will be a website created for the conference.

Omnimotion- Dream Wide Awake (AlephZ06)

Aleph Zero is proud to present... A New Omnimotion Album!!!

After four years of recording, producing and composing new music in his Ambium Studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, Omnimotion is finally back with a second album. Utilizing inspirations and knowledge he picked up along his very diverse musical path, Stefan has created Dream Wide Awake. The album contains the best musical gems that were carefully chosen from the music that accumulated in this four year period. It is a beautifully mellow yet optimistic album, with a strong acoustic presence. Dream Wide Awake is an incredibly diverse album. It features eight different vocalists- from a rapper to an opera singer- and many guest musicians with an array of instruments including the violin, accordion, guitar, drums, harp & flute. The outcome hovers between the electronic and the acoustic, the hypnotic and the melodic, between abstract ambient and mellow songs, between dubby songs and IDM glitches. Omnimotion weaves and paints here an emotional musical journey that must not be missed and will leave you dreaming wide awake.
BIBLICAL use of MAGIC-MUSHROOMS.

MANNA AMBROSIA/SOMA/TEONANACATL
Hell-Low from Heaven-High; I am author/publisher of "MANNA" the book documenting the
BIBLICAL use of MAGIC-MUSHROOMS.
“Manna” Explores the evidence that Christ was the leader of a Pagan Cult teaching a revival/renaissance of an ancient mushroom ritual learned in Egypt by Moses and Christ, a mushroom religion known also to the Maya of ancient Mesoamerica, and around the world. The Manna-Book asks if this knowledge was kept secret by an elite caste of priests within the Kabalistic Jewish Rabbis until such a time as Christ came and taught it to the masses.

Exodus 16:14-24 indicates that MANNA was inevitably a MUSHROOM.
It was a small round thing in the morning dew, it bred larva, and would melt to mush if not dried. KING JAMES VERSION.
All mushroom pickers know that fly’s eggs cause larvae/worms in mushrooms. The one food most notorious for being full of worms.

Daniel 5:3-5 with Exodus 16:32 and Hebrews 9:4
indicates that the mushroom was a DRUG. After sacking the temple in Jerusalem and stealing the Ark-of-the-Covenant, the King of Babylon and his table drank from the golden cup containing the holy “MANNA” they had visions within the hour….. Psilocybin takes 30-40 minutes to induce visions.

Hebrews 9:4 makes it clear that MANNA was the most holy thing to Israelites, kept in A POT OF GOLD in the ARK OF THE COVENANT, in the MOST HOLY OF HOLYS. So sacred is the Manna that only the High Priest has access to it and only on one day of the year (Yom Kippur), which comes 3 days before the harvest moon (Hallows Eve).

Psalm 78:24-25 calls MANNA FOOD OF ANGELS, just as MAYAN/INCA PRIESTS from Meso-America called it TEONANACATL FOOD OF THE GODS.
MANNA is an Egyptian word, not Hebrew or Aramaic, meaning;
The BREAD OF GOD. This is what Moses called it in Exodus 16:15.
“Bread Of God” means “FOOD OF GOD”, which is the same meaning of TEONANACATL (Mayan), and AMBROSIA (Greek), and SOMA (Hindu) a word for mushroom tea, all these words mean “Spiritual Food”.
Coca and Tobacco Leaves found in Pharaohs tombs suggest it was ancestors of Mayan/Inca Priests who brought MUSHROOMS to Egypt.

John 2:6-9 indicates that Jesus made water into wine by boiling mushrooms (Mushroom-Tea), the waterpots were made of stone, not clay, (stone pots were used for cooking, clay pots used for storing water). These pots already contained 2-3 firkins of a substance before the pots were filled with water.
A “Firkin” is an Old-English measurement meaning a fourth part. Half to three-quarters of fresh mushrooms with water makes a potent tea. Tea is the safest way to consume field mushrooms, killing dangerous bacteria like E. Coli. In the Atharva Veda, the Hindus called this Tea SOMA. Greeks called mushroom jelly AMBROSIA.
Those who drank the water made into wine said it was the most potent intoxicant (St. John 2:10). The Bible tells us that Jesus making water into wine was the “beginning of miracles” … in other words no one saw any miracles until drinking the wine made from water. (St. John 2:11).

“MANA” is an EGYPTIAN WORD, not HEBREW or ARAMAIC, Meaning; “The BREAD OF GOD”. Moses, Christ, and Joseph, The favorite son of Israel, were all educated in Egypt. Solomon married Pharaoh’s daughter, and Abraham found his God at a place called SHECHEM (Sekhem), which is another Egyptian word for MANNA. TEONANACATL [Maya] = SOMA [Hindu] = AMBROSIA / BROMA-THEON [Greek] = MANNA [Egyptian/Hindu] It can be no coincidence that the MAYAN, EGYPTIAN, GREEK, HINDU, and ISRAELITE words for the mushroom all mean exactly the same thing: “THE BREAD OF GOD”.

MANNA was round, was found on the ground in the dew, would melt to mush if not dried or collected on time, and would breed larvae. All unique characteristics of mushrooms. When dried it was like “WAFERS OF BREAD” and it’s color was like “CORIANDER SEED”, the consistency and color of dried mushrooms, as described in Exodus Ch. 16.
Other psychedelics used in the Bible include, of course, Cannabis, Mandrake and others. This book focuses on Mushrooms: “The Global Sacrament”.
Be advised that the author does not advocate the non-ritual use of mushrooms or in any way place their importance above that of love, “Seek first the kingdom of love and all other things shall be added to you” [Christ].

Exactly as my girl Irena ordered, each track and transition approved by her, this mix is deep, dark, dirty and very progressive. This mix was also VERY hard to compile, taking over 80 hours and four months. Compiling a cd with another person did make the process a long one, but it was also something we both really enjoyed. This mix was also the nucleus of the set Norris and I played at Motion Notion this year. As well, this version is an edited master, my mixer is on the fritz and once I get it repaired a new unedited final mix will be posted.

Critical feedback is very welcome.

Intention 7.5 Summer Camp @ Crystal Creek (July 7-9)

In the midsummer of 2006 the tribal dance network family are invited to pack their camping gear and join together at the first summer version of our annual winter Intention Retreat. Situated at our time honored Crystal Creek location on the Sunshine Coast BC, we join with the intentions set upon it, of crystallizing conscious community in balance with nature.

As with all Intention Retreats, it is less spectacle oriented and more participant driven, with people encouraged to share their talents, gifts, resources, ideas and skills towards co-creating the micro version of the world we wish to inhabit on an eventual larger scale. At the same time we are each witness and encouragers to each others growth and our collective movement towards evolution in a spirit that contains child to elder.

To increase the participatory levels and give time for the needed collaborations and projects that will be created to be ready for the camp we will be hosting a small number of local orientations in the community fold. At these working pods will be formed.Other visiting dance tribes are encouraged to host their own in preparation and will be given support to do so.

To give a loose idea of how things will flow and how you can insert your flavor into things, the weekend may contain:

Friday-Arrival/Final Set Up/Opening Ceremony/Caberet/Live Music

We're keeping the price down as much as possible at $60. Registration up and running online at www.tribalharmonix.org/events/summercamp.

May this serve as a midsummer check-in for us all to take the peak energies of summer with us towards living our highest potentials in celebration with new and old friends. May this serve to link generations. May this be practice for what it takes to live sustainably with each other and the Earth. May this be the reward of having found each other.
WORKSHOPS:

THE SOMATIC WAVE

(as experienced thru Yoga)
1.5 hours with Dhyana (no limit)

A revolutionary way of initiating movement with energy instead of
muscle!

This leading-edge style of Yoga combines aspects of Chi Kung,
Cranialsacral work and Continuum to lift you into yoga poses from the
inside out. Your body becomes self-supporting through "tensegrity" (a
Buckminster Fuller principle). Learn to surf gravity's antiforce,
steering its rebounding wave with the inner core diaphragms and
riding it into any and all movement.

As somatic awareness is stimulated, new integrated movement /energy
patterns are adopted that allow you to melt through limitations, heal
from injury and experience mastery in asanas.

TANTRIC CHI MOVEMENT with Ashanti Shakti

Through tantric breathing and chi energy movement techniques we will learn how to open and attune our energetic vibrational frequencies to the world around us, relaxing into peace and harmony with our surroundings, calming our being into an open, non-reactive state, fully opening to the ecstatic beauty of every moment.

Ashanti Shakti from Portland, OR has been intensively practicing Tantric and Chi energy movement for the past year. Based on her 10 years of experience practicing meditation, buddhism, yoga and tantra she has intuitively found that combining certain eastern energy movement techniques enhances their realms of effectiveness

PERMACULTURE with Peter Light

Permaculture is about permanent agriculture; permanent
culture; intentional community
"self"-sufficiency/"self"- reliance; providing for all
of human need in as small a space as possible: and
dropping out. It about making a radical break with
the dominant paradigm. It's not a hobby. It's a
lifesaver.

It's also about work and commitment.

What are the prerequisites to permaculture? How do we
get started? What needs to be in place to propel the
plunge? What is necessary to sustain that break with
the mass culture for years?

The presenter of this workshop has thought about these
issues since his first drop-out in 1962. He will lead
a discussion based on what motivated him and what has
kept him living simply and alternately for over four
decade.

TRANCE FORMATION:
The Spiritual Dimensions of Global Rave Culture

Over the course of nearly two decades, the rave scene has evolved into much more than simply an electronic dance music party. For thousands of people around the world, it has become an important source of spirituality and the closest thing they have to a religion. In this workshop, Robin Sylvan will share material from his recent book, Trance Formation: The Spiritual and Religious Dimensions of Global Rave Culture, an ethnographically rich look into the spiritual dimensions of rave culture from a theoretically informed religious studies perspective. Combining firsthand accounts, extensive interviews with ravers, and cutting edge scholarly analysis, Robin will take us on a colorful journey from San Francisco to London, from Burning Man to the Love Parade, and illuminate the deeper aspects of rave spirituality. We will also explore next steps and future directions in the evolution of the spiritual/intentional wing of the rave scene.

TRANCE FORMATION:
An Experimental Electronic Dance Music Ceremony

While many raves use ceremonies to create sacred space, unfortunately, all too often, the intense trance energies generated on the dance floor dissipate as we shift into a passive verbal mode. But traditional ceremonies like the West African possession dance or the Sufi Sema of the whirling dervishes demonstrate that trance dancing can be utilized in a ceremonial form that channels these energies toward sacred ends. This workshop with Robin Sylvan is an experiment in creating this kind of ceremonial form with electronic dance music. Using sacred intentionality, ritual practices, and specific movements, gestures, and formations, we will focus and direct the powerful energy of the trance dance experience in a ceremonial context in a specially designed hour-long sequence of music. We will trace the arc of a ceremony – creating a sacred container, generating energy, and dedicating that energy – through trance dancing to electronic dance music, so that the ceremony, like the rave experience itself, is danced/embodied/enacted rather than spoken.

Robin Sylvan, Ph.D., is the founder and director of The Sacred Center, a spiritually-oriented educational organization in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has taught in both mainstream academic and alternative experiential contexts. He is the author of Trance Formation and Traces of the Spirit: The Religious Dimensions of Popular Music, and has been a music aficionado and spiritual seeker for most of his life. He is now working on a major study examining the brain science of musically-induced spiritual and religious experiences.
discussion and ritual, we will examine our wisdom,
hopes, challenges and fears about the role of
sexuality in our lives and in our community. We will
work together to create an image of sexual health and
wholeness and bring our focus into shaping an
energetic container to hold the intention generated
through this process and serve as a resource for the

It has been my pleasurable experience to be a part of hosting councils at In:Vision the past 2 years. I have collected footage and audio (thanks to Romina and Sijay) from the History of a Tribe session we had 2 years back and notes from last years council Jeet K and i titled "Overstanding the Underground. For those interested in those notes and deepening the tools of council especially in the tribal dance community networks I invite you to:

http://tribes.tribe.net/counciltech

Also note there are notes from the 8 Whole Integration Gatherings which were tribal councils held in the the lower mainland BC between 2002-3 in the Community Projects section on www.tribalharmonix.org.
