about INVIZIBLE DESIGNS
Fashionista extraordinaire Ivizia and fashion fugitive Peach bring their sexy, edgy, and dirty clothing to life in this year's Dirty Circus Fashion Show. The circus started many years ago when Invizible designs, aka Jaime Eisenschmidt emerged her art from the dirty underground to Portland runways and clubs. Her interest in making clothing stemmed from the lack of something better to wear than what she could create herself. Working the cloth all of her life, she started making Portland a sexier place in 1998 with her edgy and trashy clothing hitting local strip clubs. Around this time, she also discovered another dirty secret. She was not only an expert in making herself and others look fabulous with her clothing, she was also and insatiable pyro. Her performances have been recognized as some of the most creative and explosive fire shows to ever grace Portland stages to which she credits a lot of her fashion inspiration has come from.

Debuting her work as a solid fashion designer in her first runway show in 2004, Invizible has been perfecting her skills and is going full force in this year's 3rd annual Invizible fashion show. What can we expect to see from this fashion diva this year? Think, hideous, what you should be afraid to wear, sexy shaping, the unexpected and other works inspired by her own circus and the madness revolving inside her head.

Who's the partner in crime? Yet another dirty circus character who is also proving himself as a designer to be taken seriously. In fact, he has. His coverage this year in "Just Out' recognized him as one of the up and coming gay designers in Portland . His story starts 33 years ago when he started sewing and designing for fun and practicality. He started taking this art seriously when in 2004, a band member from Steven Segal's Blues Band asked if he could buy his jacket (a peachy keen original) off of his back. He also has dirty pyro secret of which he has been gracing Portland's stages as a sexy and serious fire performer, creating costumes for his inspiring shows.

So what can we expect to see on the runway this year from our favorite fruit? Think plain Jane to Rock star. According to peach, everyone can be a rock star and he is the man to make you look like one. Designs which are neither gay, straight or modern, Peach emphasizes getting back to the era when clothing was 'made'. Think Victorian Hoop skirts in techocolor, corsets, faux-fur naughties and clothing that can turn any body into a sexy body.

INVIZIBLE Fashion Show
Sunday December 10th
7pm - 10pm
$8
at The Fez Ballroom
SW 11th and Stark

INVIZIBLE grew from the razor edge of the Portland performance nightlife, working the stages at Dante's and Devil's Point and strutting on the backs of Societas Insomnia. From stripper to blushing bride, INVIZIBLE's tastes extend across the spectrum of fantasy chic. She presents her first major show next Sunday at The Fez. A prodigous coming out indeed.

To celebrate, we've gathered tribal pop experiment DRUMATTICA, DJs KEITH B and TENTACLES, clothing from fellow designers PEACH and LONDA J, and a special finale suspension from roving circus monster Alea Angelique.

A fashion party of diabolical proportions, Sunday December 10th at the poshest sleazy nightclub in Portland.

DRUMATTICA
www.drumattica.com/
In the fall of 2000, Keith Brown and Brian Lehfeldt, got together to experiment with the idea of combining head to head/dual tribal drums over the top of slinky synth beds and pulsing drum loops. “It started out as a simple idea that Brian and I had always talked about doing” Says Brown, “We never really expected for this to blossom into what it is today.” Brown is referring to Drumattica’s massive 6 piece all star line –up featuring members of some of Portland’s biggest bands. Drumattica released the full length CD “A Part of Something” in May 2003 featuring, Rob W and Brian Lehfeldt (Sweaty Nipples, Tv: 616, Everclear and Tri-Polar) Keith B (Tv: 616) and Eric Hellzer, rounding out the line up. Jennifer Folker (Dahlia) as well as DJ Slowburn were part of the fold until recently when “Jen got an offer she couldn’t pass up in New York for a pretty big gig with some pretty big people.” Says Brown, “ We support her 100% as she would for any of us if put in the same position.” Slowburn was off to Japan for similar reasons and the band was suddenly put in an awkward position. “It was a bit disappointing when Keith called me about Jen and Slowburn.”says Hellzer, “But we all knew that this was Rob’s band and he was more than able to carry the load.” Rather than replace Slowburn with another D.J., the band decided to introduce a six string guitar for the first time and they didn’t have to look far. Brown had being touring with Floater playing extra guitar of late and bounced the idea off Floater guitarist Dave Amador. “I was completely into the idea.” Says Amador.” Amador’s style has given Drumattica a more “organic” element and has been an incredible addition.” Says Brown, “The new material we’ve written with this line up is epic & in my mind this is the best version of Drumattica to date.” The band still continues to have guest musicians here and there and a big treat as of late has been special guest appearance’s by the Northwest’s hottest bombshell, Storm Large from Storm and the Balls. “Storm has helped us out in the past’ Says Lefheldt, “and Her and Rob are great together and the crowd loves it.” The band is currently in the process of writing the next album which should be completed early 2005. In the meantime they will be playing a select few shows throughout the Northwest. “We want to get a feel for some of the new songs live before we go in and record.” Says Brown, “Plus, we enjoy playing. Being that our music covers everything from Pop to Electronica to Goth and New Wave, we really get wide range of people at our shows which is great.” So there we have it. What started as an idea to experiment has turned into one of Portland’s biggest bands.

SOCIETAS INSOMNIA - The King Cycle - September 16

SOCIETAS INSOMNIA
The King Cycle
September 16, 10:00 - 12:30
Someday Lounge
125 NW 5th, between Couch and Davis
$13 admission
21+, to say the least

Societas Insomnia is a troupe of veteran performers from the subcultures of ritual art, circus, sex, body modification, fire, butoh, and experimental music. We combine these marginalized forms to embody a world of living nightmare.

Our first year of shows; stretching from December 2004 to November 2005; developed a distinctive style of wordless and improvised movement-based theater drawing from the diverse backgrounds of our cast and the free sharing of methods and skills between us. Each of these four performances told one chapter in a mythic cycle of initiation, death, and rebirth that only the most attentive and loyal audience members had the chance to understand.

Therefore, we have chosen to open our residency at Someday Lounge with a comprehensive telling of that tale: The King Cycle, incorporating nearly the entire cast of all previous S.I. installments. Entirely new works will follow irregularly, continuing to explore the mythos of The Nightmare Company.

CAST

DIG - Noah Mickens
Leads the Company on their eternal pilgrimage, and directs the creation of nightmares for the unfortunate sleeping masses.

DRAGO - The Fire Ninja
Captain of the Fire Fetishists and treacherous lieutenant to Dig.

DAIF - Daif Hahn
Nine-foot-tall mastermind behind the sadistic physical tortures of the Nightmare Company.

THE SUN - Soriah

DEVIL - Jackie Nelom
Digs faithful and enigmatic familiar.

DED - Lana Guerra
A new initiate into the Company, whose entry into our world is the principle concern of Act One.

FIRE FETISHISTS
Drago's lascivious clown alley would burn down your dreams if they could only keep their hands off each other.
Cherry
Ivizia Dakini
Ms. Ty Fyre
Peach
Draco T

DREAMERS
A dream is a journey. And like all journeys, sometimes you don't make it back. Offstage, our dreamers are accomplished butoh dancers and ritual performance artists.

Invizible fashion show Dec. 10th!

At Devils Point on December 10th I will be having a fashion show featuring the designs of INVIZIBLE. There will be a special guest designer, Peach who will be there as well showing off all he's got and more. Maybe I can convince him to do a special fire show intrermission as well. (what do you think, Peach?)
Anyways, there will be some of the hottest models in town, men and women to show off how sexy they really can be. A 10% discount will be given to all sex industry workers, not that any of you all aren't as important but this is who I cater to and would love to show my appreciation for all those butts and boobies I have tipped over the years.
Getting a little off track. The show goes from 6 to 8pm followed by a sinfull evening of strippers and good music. I hope to see you all there so I don't need to call my ever faithfull bounty hunter on all your asses. Thank you for your time and good evening...............
