Is there a way to adjust the headphone left-to-right balance on the iPhone? My right earphone is crapping out, so on my computer I've adjusted the balance so the right earphone is louder than the left, and now everything sounds fine (for now). Is there a way to do this on the iPhone (first gen, not jailbroken)? Maybe even an app or something?

Fri, October 16, 2009 - 9:55 AMHow long have you had your iPhone? Apple will typically replace the earbuds without question, if you're under warranty. -

Re: Headphone speaker balance
Fri, October 16, 2009 - 9:59 AMOh, I've already replaced the earbuds a few times. I *love* them, but the construction is incredibly shitty, and they crap out really quickly. I can't help but wonder if Apple does that on purpose.
I'll replace them again if and when I have to, but I was wondering if I could extend the life by changing the balance, like I did on my computer. The music sounds just fine if I shift the balance to the right. -

Fri, October 16, 2009 - 6:27 PMApple® now uses aluminum instead of copper in their headphone wires . Bad choice . Wrong impedance
i usually get my headphones from on airplanes for US$2.00 , Northwest® Airlines
i used to have the coolest pair of PamAm® orange and blue headphones that worked fine with all my iPods® including the Touch®
Hmmm . thinks ; Ebay ®
