Welcome to Fantasy Island....

Better known as Island of 42. The island that is the answer to everything. Now we just have to find it, pay for it, and make it work, and populate it.

I think a lot of us are noctural. I know if left to my own devices I wouldn't go to bed till around 6am and sleep till around 2pm. Damn job keeps from sleeping when it's the right time for me.

Dearric even mentioned this the other day. He said, I find it odd that you get your best sleep after 6am. And I do!

I am much the same way. My best awake time is after 10pm. That just seems to be my natural time. The only time I change from being up until 4 and sleeping until 1 is when I have a job. Guess what...I am currently retired.

I am the same way! During the day I feel sluggish and not really into doing much... but let it get to be about 9:30 or 10:00 in the evening I am ready to go. On the weekends I stay up late. Like everyone else the only thing that stops me from doing that all the time is my job.

yup - me too. Been that way my ENTIRE LIFE - even when I was a tot - my mum used to call me her "little vampire bat."

Interestingly, I find the early morning to be the most beautiful time of day - the air is so fresh, the light is amazing, everything is dewy and glowing with the day's potential. Even the sound is somehow more sacred.

But my body just doesn't want any part of it, no matter what I do.

*blink* there are grades of sleep? good, better, best? as different from awake and dead?

that fits about what i'd like to do too - watch the beginnings of the dawn and then go to bed 'till mid-afternoon. *sigh* stupid job. i need to find something like dad did - 45 years on the nightshift.

or move to an island where you can work/do what you want when you want to.

After dating a man for close to 8 years who worked the night shift he had far less energy than most people.
Even folks who are night owls studies have shown that they get far less good sleep sleeping during the day and that tends to be less able to function on the times when they are not working becuase they are nto gettign the sleep at the traditional late night times.

Saw it myself for 8 years he loved being awake at night and yet when the weekend came around he was mostly usless all Saturday long because he was tired all the time.

ooh, let me be the decorator. I'm really good at making cool shit out of very few/very cheap materials (I'm already tossing around the idea of writing a book about all the uses of bamboo)
