LONDON (Reuters) - The owner of a tiny island in off Scotland declared its independence from the United Kingdom on Saturday, saying he wanted the territory, population one, to be a crown dependency like the Channel Islands.

It's a quiet island right now....peaceful. I like that...peace.

Holy shit....am I a hippy? I'm not a normal type of hippy...but I like the idea of peace. I also like the idea of waking up in the morning, walking out the front door, and going snorkeling.

Kids, and adults alike...don't have to wear a helmet if they want to ride a bike. Infact, if you wear a helmet, the other kids just might make fun you. Of course, if you get made fun of for wearing a helmet, and the other kids can't get out of your way when you take off your helmet and bash them with it...it's their problem.

Coming home is sobering. Cindy Sheehan (like her or not) is giving up. Ya know shit is bad when the passion of a mother is overtaken by the patheticness of being abondoned by your country. As she put it, a country more obsessed with picking a new American Idol then ending a war that has already lasted longer than WWII.

Where have the hero's gone?

I learned quite a bit while in Hawaii. Some of which was new, the rest is stuff I had forgotten and re-learned.

Ohana....family. It takes a village. That sort of thing is big in the islands. It is also pretty big in the "fair" going folks I have met up with. Family has always meant something to me, being raised in the family that I did, and having the friends that I have. This country seems to have misplaced it's value of Ohana. It's knowledge of village being family. Everyone is so fucking self centered. Most of the population has it's head shoved so far up it's ass it no longer has a sense of itself as a whole..just it's sense of it's own self as a hole.
