Windows XP Help

topic posted Sat, November 11, 2006 - 8:30 PM by  Mat
If anyone knows about windows XP, I could really use some help please. Here's the problem. I can't change my wallpaper on my desktop. I can change the color, but nothing else. When I go to display properties, I can see a list of pictures to put on there, but I can't open them, or move the screen, or browse for new pictures, or change the screen, oh and I can't even find the preset pictures to change it to. It also only does this on 1 windows account the others work fine. I have run spybot and adaware 6.0, as well as Norton and the pc doctor. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mat

that is a new one the only thing i can think of at this moment is that you are not the administrator neither is the other account but here use this safe registry tweak (this is safety, under no circumstances if you do not know what you are doing in the registry do not attempt to mess with it unless guided through it by a professional

all you will need to do is download this file when you copy this link into the address bar and press enter the download screen will come up press save from there it will download should take like 2 seconds open the file and a prompt will come up saying the registry file you are trying to add may be dangerous and other things read it over and select yes to continue or no not to continue restart the computer if you select yes after its added then you should be able to change the wallpaper do this on both of the accounts that are not working
