Gift Registry and Ideas!

OK OK OK OK.

So we love simple stuff and compact designs. You know the colors we love, but hey gifts are gifts. Chey hates Winnie the Pooh. Remember the baby is living in our room for the first year or so; this means we want smallish items. We have chosen things based on need and longevity too. Chey is going to breast feed so some things are for ease of breastfeeding too. I am a new dad so anything to help make life simpler will be good easy swaddlers (blankets that swaddle without massive bondage technique) are great.

When all else fails, gift cards at Babies R Us or Target works too.

FYI: I really want black onsies. I know baby drool shows up nicely on them, but I want to Print SF Citadel and Made by Sex Squad on some of them!

babiesrus.com (cheyenne tiziano) We will keep adding stuff as time goes on.
www.ewish.com/X/ They have fun things here that are not necessary and can be found cheaper at other stores.

Expensive stuff and accessories we want, I can't find a registry for:
Babyswede.com
Babybjorn: Babysitter123 (black) ($90) [chey loves this simple design and small foot print]
Baby Bjorn Orginal Baby Carrier (city black) ($80)

ArmsReach.com:
Original Co-Sleeper (Black) ($190)
Co-sleeper leg extensions (black) ($20)
Co-sleeper Sheets (blue) ($20)

Car Seats:
I'd like the all in one deal: infant on up combo seat (buy one and never need another). But Chey is liking the whole car seat to stroller thing. I don't know if we can all-in-one the whole deal. Either way we need one, so we will figure it out.

Strollers:
We love the idea of carrying the baby in a "sling"/baby carrier. So do we need one? Yes so we are still going thinking about the whole car seat thing too.

Sleeping:
Sleepsacks are great; so I've been told. There are sleepsack swaddle combos too!

Wow!

That's it for now. remember don't spend a fortune cause it's cute. Utility over fashion is great in babies. He's going to grow out of it sooo fast!

Love you all see around.

The combo car seat/carrier/stroller/day bed things are adjustable for all ages but they are a bit pricey. Remember you are going to be parenting in July and August, so heavy blankets and clothes are not going to be necessary or advisable. My son was born in September, but we lived in Redwood City which is really warm. He spent his first 3 months in diapers and pretty much nothing else except the occasional Tshirt. By the time it was cool enough for some of the fancy outfits people had given us, he was too big for them!

She's right. And you should ask for lots of Diaper covers. You can silk screen them too. But they keep messes from happening. Also assk for lots of cloth diapers, even you aren't going to use them as diapers. They are super useful.

Okay, people, We are getting them a swing. Just calling dibs on that one now.

      You will see.

Diapers are great as spit up rags, impromptu blankets, all sorts of things. And they can be as convenient as disposable with the diaper covers. T shirts can also be air brushed and silk screen, don't we know someone who airbrushes???

Summer in the city ain't necessarily the same as summer in Redwood City. It probably won't be THAT hot in SF. Babies need something on them. T's and onsies would be a good thing. Not trying to tell you guys what to do, but I've been a mom for 37 years now! GD I'm f***ing old :(

SF will be cool. Daly City will be warm.

And don't worry about too many clothes. There is no such thing early on. They go through a few outfits a day sometimes.

You guys need a leather snugli or baby carrier. Something with spikes and studs. On the outside, of course.

I am looking to keep the baby clothed and warm as needed. But basically I plan to have him out and about as often as possible. He (like any good puppy) needs to be socialized. I know you all will take care of the boy's needs for today and the future, because you guys take care of Chey and I.

Ok, enough fun for me. So, You have the ideas! Thanks for the fun. I know you all will make Chey and I proud parents and fun Aunts and Uncles. As a new parent who knows what I need in materials. But I have tons of love and lots of patience.

I hope you all have fun with this and thanks to all of you!! Prometheus Colin Tiziano (we think) will be a happy boy with or without presents; he will have your love.

Even with carrying the baby in a sling or carrier of some sort, as they grow you will like the idea of a stroller if only to carry the rest of the grownup stuff.

As a nanny I'd recommend not going with the all in one grow with me kind of car seat. It doesn't always provide the best support in all size ranges.

Also, I highly recommend a Mighty Tite for the car. It's a car seat ratchet system that ratchets the car's seat belt to provide the tightest possible hold on the car seat itself. If the seat moves even half an inch in any direction it's not properly or securely installed. I always recommend a car seat or seat base that once it is installed stays installed. The kid is safest in the seat that way.

Pick the carrier or the leather jacket and I'll do the stud work. But let's make it big enough to grow with him or for him to grow into... or we can eventually cut the stud work on the back out and turn it into a back patch that will go on jackets to grow with him...

Just remember not to overswaddle... oh and Steph, if the blankets don't swaddle the way you want to, that multi-colored electrical tape will work well!!!
