Re: Bad Press
Fri, September 21, 2007 - 3:30 PMI've never tried US escalators, but imagining Crocs getting stuck in either Brazilian, Argentine or Spanish escalators is a bit of a really wild trip! The kind that takes TOO MANY drugs, and several days to come back.

Re: Bad Press
Fri, September 21, 2007 - 4:35 PMWell, small children should be carefully watched on escalators anyway, IMO. Not just Crocs, but any sandal on a small foot can get caught. And small children don't actually pay attention to where they are putting their feel. It's no reason to get rid of the shoes, just to be cautious with your kids around heavy machinery. -

Re: Bad Press
Fri, September 21, 2007 - 8:17 PMMy thoughts exactly, Diane. Young children on escalators should be wearing StrideRites... or something that protects their toes!
Parents nowadays.... gads! Are they responsible for nothing???

Re: Bad Press
Sat, September 22, 2007 - 6:00 AMI was surpised to see Crocs so singled out. I understand maybe if the kids' shoes are too big as the Crocs are so soft that they might get sucked in but seems still like it would be a freak thing. Now those cheap rubber flip flops with the thin soles, I could see easily getting caught in escalators... -

Re: Bad Press
Sat, September 22, 2007 - 6:16 AMThe article actually did implicate the Croc knock-offs as well.
But... here's my take on why Crocs is "singled out." Uh... they have money. As in class action. I can just see some pinheaded lawyer drooling over this.

Re: Bad Press
Sat, September 22, 2007 - 8:30 AMOf course you're right. BUT if they wanted, they could recall all the knock offs from China. Heck, they probably have lead paint in them too! -

Re: Bad Press
Sat, September 22, 2007 - 8:56 AMDo Crocs have paint?
And my Crocs costed me 30€ and are from China. But the strap says it's original Crocs. Is it a knock-off?? -

Re: Bad Press
Sat, September 22, 2007 - 9:12 PMNo, if it says Crocs, it's Crocs. Not a knock off. Crocs are made *everywhere.* Yours cost €30 and mine cost $30. Interesting, considering the exchange rate!
I can't decide whether to bring one pair or both to Madrid. :D I don't care if it's chilly. I have socks!
