Headquartered in Hollywood, CA, The Church of iZO is a 'disorganized religion' or a 'shamanic research foundation'. The word 'iZO' signifies the unity between Spirit and matter and the transcendence of all opposites. In symbolic terms, the ‘i’ represents the individual, the ‘O’ represents the beginning-less and endless perfect circle of the Divine and the ‘Z’, like the Zeta Function in mathematics represents every possible path between two points, represents every path between the individual and the Divine, or every link between Spirit and matter. 'iZO' also embodies The Tree of Life in a very concrete way.
UNITING SCIENCE, MAGIC AND ART: iZOnists explore the connections between spirit, mind and matter through Dance, Music, Creative Writing, Visual Art, Immersive Installations/Environments, Sculpture, Yoga, Meditation, Martial Arts, Physical Exercise, Mathematics, Numerology, Sacred Geometry, Musical Harmony, Pythagorean theory, the Logos, Qabalah, Magic, Synchronicity, the Collective Unconscious, Gaia Worship, Shamanic Sacraments, Zodiacal Science, Love, Light, Nanotechnology, The Brain, The Body/Mind connection, Studies of The Soul, Karmic Yoga, and other sacred Humanist Arts, as well as embracing relevant portions of conventional physical sciences. In other words, through all mediums and forms in which spiritual experience may be gained or mastered. An iZOnist can research anywhere in The Ubiquiton for Data to bring to the Church and its members.
THERE IS ONLY ONE, LIMITLESS, UNCONDITIONED TRUTH, YET, THERE ARE INFINITE PATHS TO THAT ONE TRUTH: An Omnevolent Download of information we call the Ubiquiton is manifesting and unmanifesting at all times. The individual Observer is somehow obliged to interact with the Ubiquiton, yet is also part of it. The quest of an iZOnist is to understand and navigate this interaction.
PERSONIFICATION OF THE DIVINE IS A CHOICE: The Ubiquiton is everywhere. It is Omnisible. It has no specific address. It is everywhere there is Data and everywhere there is not. So it can be referenced from any Data point. iZOnists contact and interact with the Divine in a variety of highly-personal ways, from an old white man with a long white beard to a half eaten donut of poetry. It is not the duty of the Church to dictate or limit the style of a devotee’s search or worship. iZOnists research, study, and discuss traditional and novel mysticism, magic, and shamanism, each in a manner that suits his/her temperament. The Church supports each seeker’s quest and collects their wisdom.
NO MEDIATOR IN THE FORM OF AN INSTITUTIONALIZED RELIGION OR PRIEST: The Church Of iZO is a research-based religion. Each iZOnist’s path, and the path of the Church, is a quest for Gnosis. All knowledge gained from any source is shared among members. No individual or class of persons is deemed to know the answers better than another. Therefore, morality and choice reside with the individual, not the Church. There is no class system. All group activities are experimental and treated as such. The Church exists to serve the individual’s quest to understand and navigate the Ubiquiton.
NO INNATE MORALITY OR SIN: The Ubiquiton is Omnevolent. It does not define things as good or evil and uses everything, including destruction, to create. All things are in constant flux and change, all things are relative. Ethics are defined as a system of organization and cooperation practiced among, and for the convenience of humans. Personal ethical decisions are considered a matter requiring great discernment, and subject to change as the Download changes.
Form of Worship:
The iZOnist interacts with the Ubiquiton physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. In addition to personal research, performance, and study, iZOnists participate in Church and group activities that fulfill the seeker’s body, spirit and mind. Dance, trance, yogic exercises, plant magic, sacraments, nutrition, sacred sexuality, art, philosophy, symbolic ritual—all, part, or none of these may be part of an iZOnist’s individual quest so all are acknowledged as valid areas of inquiry by the Church. An example of iZOnist Form of Worship is the iZO Vitality Program, the core essence of which is Yahmon/Nomen/Jehsydam, a unique blend of ancient religious prescriptions for right living and meditation with modern day fitness and nutrition knowledge. However, legitimate Forms of Worship are in no way limited to the iZO Vitality Program.
Formal Code of Doctrine:
-There is no morality that could govern every situation because every situation is different: Good and bad behaviors are defined by groups of humans for their safety or tribal benefit. Ethno-Cultural Centrism makes each group deceive itself into thinking that its personal rules are the product of natural laws. In iZOnist philosophy, there is no such thing as inherently good or inherently bad. The Omnevolent Ubiquiton makes many different truths in different places and times. The Church Of iZO does not support any specific rules of morality, but encourages devotees to develop a Personal Moral Compass based on the values of their peer communities in that particular moment in space and time. Other than that, it is understood that the consequences of an individual’s actions are being worked out within that person’s individual and collective Download; therefore each act must be evaluated on its own merits and deemed a valid step in that person’s journey towards Omniscience.
PROCESS OF INTROSPECTION AND SELF-REALIZATION: The entire search for enlightenment within an Omnevolent Ubiquiton is a form of self-examination and requires a questioning of all things. Devotees are encouraged to study and share their personal truths in all environments. Opportunities for safe interactions are frequently made possible by the Church and independent members.
