more on Time and Timelessness

I've been struggling a bit lately with plans and the frustration caused by not achieving them in the time frame that I WANT!!! I want it NOW!!!! WHA!!!!! and so i've cried like a baby, all depressed and crestfallen, and feeling the fear of failure. But at the same time, i've been receiving the answer from the universe of how to deal with this fear of time and how to achieve timelessness through hours of pondering by myself and Toylit and Geza, and also from reading a bunch of Krishnamurti, and i've come to some personal breakthroughs of how to perceive time and my relation to it. I hope this helps you. Here's what i've come up with:

Time and Timelessness

a) In order to achieve inward psychological timelessness where one is no longer striving to become something that he or she is not and instead is simply BEing, one must trust Time to do its outward linear job of manifesting thought and past actions. Observe it and work with it, but don't try to rush it or force fit plans in an unreasonable time frame. Time is perfect and everything is meant to be. Observing that thoroughly and trusting that completely is the key to transcendence of time.

b) if you're fearful that you don't have enough time (or that you have too much time for some crazy reason), you can eliminate this fear by recalibrating your relationship to time, i .e. expanding or contracting the time frame of your expectations and plans so that they reflect more accurately what time is allowing. All things in due time. Impatience and fear will only lengthen the amount of time needed to achieve your goals, because impatience disrespects time's perfect plan by not observing it for what it is and because fear blinds and prevents you from being open to receive the information/tools/situations that time provides which are needed to achieve your goal. Time is essential to manifestation.

c) Being present, aka achieving inward timelessness, is completely realizing that NOW is made up of the past and the future.

d) Money is a component of time- Time is money. So if one is to achieve timelessness, one must figure out how to live without money, or one must figure out how to get so much money that expenses do not matter anymore.

e) Breath is time as well, and thus time is access to the other world beyond the manifested world, because breath is the cord of life. obviously this is true when we die, as in no breath, no life. But it's also true in conscious self-realized meditation techniques which consciously slow the breath down to a standstill by stilling the body's heart. When the heart stops beating, there is no need for breath, and when there is no breath, your soul is freed from the cage of your body. THis is the way to achieve outward timelessness, which i presume can be taken to the extreme of interplanetary time travel and time travel to the future. What about going back in time? It's really easy to live in the past- most people do it every day. what's the point? Fear is living in the past.
What is the quality of your breath

quite an amazing class today
breath work
starting off, just getting in from freeway and honk, honk, whizz
breathing is sticky, globby sticky not smeary sticky
then can't concentrate, brain fuzzy and rocking for some comfort.
I say to myself, "Self, you can't work like this"
consulting with the wizened instructor revealed a twist not considered.
and some neuro pressure points later breath is smooth and easy
and the lower back pain gone too.
be aware of breath

Rob Brezny Nails it!

This is simply the essence of what iZO is all about (cross reference it with the words describing this Tribe!). Thank you so much Rob Brezny!

The piece below is excerpted from Rob Brezny's book
"PRONOIA IS THE ANTIDOTE FOR PARANOIA:
How the Whole World Is Conspiring to Shower You with Blessings"

available at http://tinyurl.com/qaj62

or find out more at http://www.freewillastrology.com

22ND-CENTURY PRONOIA THERAPY
Part One

Experiments and exercises in becoming a bewilderingly enlightened,
ecstatically grateful, unselfishly proud Master of Fiendishly Benevolent
Tricks

1. Philosopher Robert Anton Wilson has proposed that the single greatest
contribution to world peace would come from there being six billion
different religions--a unique spiritual path for each person on the planet.
The Beauty and Truth Laboratory urges you to get started on doing your
part to make this happen. What will your religion be called? What rituals
will you perform? Write down your three core tenets.

2. You'll also need a new name for the Creator. "God" and "Goddess"
have been so overused and abused that most of us are numb to them.
And given the spiritual opportunities that will open up for you as you
explore pronoia, you can't afford to have an impaired sensitivity towards
the Great Mystery.

Here's an idea to stimulate your search: The Russian word for God is
"Bog." The Basques call the Supreme Being "Jingo." To purge your
psychic dockets of built-up fixations about deity, you might try singing
improvisational prayers to "Jingo Bog."

Here are a few other fresh names to inspire you:
Blooming HaHa
Wild Divine
Whirl-Zap-Gush
Sublime Cackler
Chthonic Riddler

3. Since ancient times, China has hosted three religions: Confucianism,
Buddhism, and Taoism. The typical Chinese person has cobbled together a
mélange of beliefs gathered from all three. This is different from the
Western way, which is to be faithful to one religion or another, never
mixing and matching.

But that's changing in certain enclaves in North America, where growing
numbers of seekers are adopting the Chinese approach. They borrow
elements from a variety of spiritual traditions to create a personalized
path. Religious historians call this syncretism.

As you meditate on conjuring up your own unique mode of worship, think
of the good parts you'd like to steal from other religions.

4. Most religions designate a special class of people--priests, rabbis,
ayatollahs--to oversee official communications with the Source. This has
led to a prevailing assumption, even among those who don't follow an
established faith, that we can't initiate a divine conversation without the
aid of a professional class of trained mediators. Among some sects of the
ancient gnostics, in contrast, everyone was regarded as a potential
prophet who could experience epiphanies worthy of becoming part of the
ever-evolving doctrine.

As you create your own spiritual path, experiment with this approach.
What might you do to eliminate the middleman and commune directly
with the Source?

5. The chorus of an old Depeche Mode song goes like this: "I don't want
to start/ Any blasphemous rumors/ But I think that God's/ Got a sick
sense of humor/ And when I die/ I expect to find him laughing." I have a
grudging respect for these lyrics. In an age when God has been co-opted
by intolerant fundamentalists and mirthless sentimentalists, I appreciate
any artist who suggests there's more to the Infinite Spirit than the one- dimensional prig described in the Bible or Koran.

On the other hand, Depeche Mode's notion of the Blooming HaHa is also
disinformation. It's as much a hostage to pop culture's knee-jerk nihilism
as the right-wing bigots' God is to their monumental hatreds. One thing I
know for sure about the Supreme Being is that while she does have a
complicated sense of humor, it's not cruel or vengeful.

Your assignment: Pray to be granted a healing sample of her comedic
genius--a funny, shocking miracle that will free you of any tendencies you
have to believe the age-old lies about her.

6. Will there be prayer in your new religion? If so, we suggest that you
avoid the body language traditionally used by Christians in their worship.
The gesture of clasping one's hands together originated long ago as an
imitation of being shackled; it was thought to be the proper way to
express submission to divine power.

The prayers you make, however, may be imbued as much with reverent
exuberance or ecstatic gratitude as somber submissiveness. An example
of a more apt gesture is to spread your arms as wide and high as they'll
go, as if you're hugging the sky. Any other ideas?

7. What if the Creator is like Rainer Maria Rilke's God, "like a webbing
made of a hundred roots, that drink in silence"? What if the Source of All
Life inhabits both the dark and the light, heals with strange splendor as
much as with sweet insight, is hermaphroditic and omnisexual? What if
the Source loves to give you riddles that push you past the boundaries of
your understanding, forcing you to deepen your perceptions and change
the ways you think about everything? Close your eyes and imagine you
can sense the presence of this tender, marvelous, difficult, entertaining
intelligence.

8. At a candy store one Easter season, I heard a philosophical debate
about Jesus-themed confections. "It's just not right to eat a symbol of
God," one woman said as she gazed at a chocolate Christ on the cross. A
man agreed: "It's sacrilegious. An abomination." An employee overheard
and jumped in. "I'll ask my boss to take that stuff off the shelf," she
clucked.

I was tempted to say what I was thinking: "Actually, the holiest ritual of
Christian worship involves eating Christ's body and blood." But I held my
tongue; I wasn't in the mood for a brouhaha.

Where do you stand on this issue? Do you or do you not want to eat a
symbolic embodiment of your deity? If you do, what food will you
choose?

9.At one point in James Michener's novel *Hawaii,* a native Hawaiian tells
ignorant missionaries, "You cannot speak to the gods with your clothes
on." Whereupon he strips and prepares for prayer. Test this theory. Find
out if your communion with the Divine Wow improves when you're naked.

10. A few Christian sects now enjoy a new addition to their once-staid
church services: holy laughter. Parishioners become so excited while
worshiping that they erupt in uncontrollable glee. Some crack up so
profoundly that they fall on the floor and flop around like breakdancers.
Others repeatedly leap into the air as if on pogo sticks, or wobble and
zigzag as if trying to dance while drunk.

11. In Judeo-Christian cultures, many people associate the sky with the
masculine form of God. According to this bias, the Supreme Father rules
us all from on high--up, away, far from here. But if you were an ancient
Egyptian, the sky was the goddess Nuit, her body its very substance. She
was a loving mother whose tender touch could be felt with each new
breath.

For one day, act as if you and the sky goddess are in constant contact.

The Four Agreements?

Has anyone read The Four Agreements? That little book was a pivotal, life-changing moment for me. I had one of those 'aha' moments when he said that negative self-talk was Black Magic. Besides gaining some inner peace I'd never had before, it also gave me one of my first clues about 'real' magic hiding in everyday ocurrences, a topic that has been one of my main points of inquiry ever since. I attribute much of my subsequent iZOnist/magical philosophy to that ONE sentence in that ONE book. I'd like to spew about it when I have more time, but meanwhile...

--what does THIS magical tribe have to say about it?

Poems for Izo

By request, here are some poems for the very friendly Izoite clan.

* * * * *

"2012"

We have hope.

We have hope of love.

In the emptiness between
constellations and atomic systems
there is love that permeates the void.

There is a halo glowing above,
but the aura glows too bright to be seen by most.

We must learn to see without eyes.
We must learn to feel the invisible threads that knot us together.

Now we can hear the voice
that has not spoken for thousands of years.

Our destiny is cosmic.
The starseed is gestating inside us.
We are the fruit.

Mercury is a guide.
The illusion is real.

This riddle is my name
which you must learn to speak.

Apollo : Isis : Buddha :
Amalthea : Kali : Pacal Votan :
Oshun : Krishna : Chorozon :
Quetzacoatl : Loki : Dionysius
The Ancient Ones

The sleeper has now awakened.
All gateways are opened.
What do you see?

The old way must die so that the new way can be born.
We must unlearn the past so we can create a future.

Remember who you are.

* * * * *

"cipher"

enjoy the
(silence)

I.
whose fingerprint this,
stretching across my sight?

both eyes echoing the sunrise
like the uncurling petals of a sunflower

this trans-substantive idiom
a thrice dimensioned medium,

Van Gogh’s spirals
parallax at noon : to the laughter of my heartbeat

the four walls of mind burst apart
and scattered each to the ends of the earth,

voiced by the wind,
echoed in the spin of galaxies,
versed upon the skins of the dead,
drums splitting the pulse of hallowed void

a love
communicated
in the perfect language of the unspoken
in the searing enunciation of this—my heart

this resonated silence,
a pentagram, symbolic—symbiosis : as above, so below

the lotus enfolds each one of six perfections,
tattooed in my back as a constellation of refraction—

light
blooms and
latent,

but
what grows within the
seed of unborn apocalypse?

so spoke : the radix,
and on the seventh day, rested

* * * * *

"Paradigm Shift Celestial"
echoes are perpetual motion
vibrational memories

lives are lies told only once

trapdoors are corridors of
frames are haggard illusions,
limited perspective

It is time to be born,
we can feel it gathering like an emergent storm,
We are love
embodied
in mortal guise

We are captive
to the consequences
of perception

Yet in the midst of this chosen death,
this chosen eschaton,
we exist beyond the finite
all possibilities created

We are unified

The Secret?

Last night, in the thread entitled "beautiful", I suggested we have a discussion about the movie, "The Secret". Over the course of the last couple months I've grown more and more ambivolent about its contents and the potential effect it might have on its viewers. Then this evening, as I was perusing my friends' blogs, I found this brilliant piece; "THE SECRET is the New "Edge" is in a feeding frenzy on YOU", written by my friend Iona Miller. If you are interested in the film, I strongly suggest you read her article.
http://people.tribe.net/ionamiller/blog/07489811-30b0-4dce-bd34-9c158a63c07a

In my opinion, Iona is an intellectual giant. You'll see what I mean. She covered all my misgivings in great depth. In case you are not in the mood to read her rather heady peice, I'll briefly (yeah right) tell you what my misgivings have been and what I wanted to discuss when I brought up the movie. This is my experience:

When I first saw the movie I was stoked! I don't need to elaborate on how inspired I was, but let's just say I told everyone I knew about it. It seems that many of us had a similar reaction. I intended to practice visualization every day, make a vision board, etc... I did some of that... But I didn't start doubting the movie because I haven't gotten what I've wanted. In fact, I've gotten some of what I wanted already. The question I've had is, what are they really encouraging with the movie? What kind of attitude and action did it inspire in me? I realized over the course of the last few months that the movie seemed to be encouraging a very singular consciousness of "I, me, mine". I defended the movie for a while, saying they were just showing us shiny things because that's what most people want. I thought they were just being clever by focusing on material wealth, trying to get the all important message of "the law of attraction" into people's minds in the most accessible way. But now when I think about it, why didn't they have some people showing off how they manifested food for starving people, peace in an unstable region, great works of art? Why not? Because those things actually take a lot of talent and most of all >work<. That's where my mind went... The most important seed of doubt was placed in me by my greatest teacher, the I Ching. The I Ching has told me a few times, since I watched "The Secret", not to be so convinced of my ability to control things. How contrary to the message of The Secret. It told me I was being egocentric. The film encourages us to take responsibility for our thoughts and our lives, but not our actions, not our moral behavior, not our motivations. It encourages massive ego fantasies...and doesn't ever touch on community, unity, humility...basic spiritual concepts.

In my opinion, their formula - thoughts = manifestation - is actually incomplete and the missing component is often "work". LIfe takes work...or active participation. I am not completely discounting the message of the movie. I think that "intentionality" is very important, and we should all be clear about our intentions...so that we can take action consciously, rather than just running in the hamster wheel. But, as Iona points out in her piece, just because we intend for something to happen and it does, doesn't mean we made it happen by thinking it into existence. That's only one interpretation. Of course, our intentions impact our environment, but our environment also impacts us. The forces are at least equal...but, my biggest question for people who are so incredibly optimistic about the future of our planet, believing that a critical mass of intention will transform our reality, is: There are six billion plus people on the planet, about half who are barely surviving, the other half mostly ignorant...so if we all have equal power of intentionality, aren't we all creating this thing together? What about the "natural cycle" of things? Why should we, as individuals, be so convinced of our power to control things? Why not take action from a place of generosity, rather than a DESIRE for more, more, more!!!

Here are a couple pieces of Iona's article that reflect my line of thought:

"The notion "we create our own reality" is a relative truth. From a Jungian point of view, any "intentionality" we could exert would be subject to the competing agendas of autonomous archetypal forces and dynamics that don't give a fig about your personality needs. Existentially, we are moved by more than a single metaphor, a single role, a singlular self-image. Whatever you choose to call them, we harbor nested competing agendas, conscious and unconscious."

"Is this notion harboring a demiurgic God-complex, a control fantasy in an otherwise uncontrollable world? If we believe in God, why do we presume to interfere with that fiat by introjecting our small agendas?"

So my biggest question is: is The Secret actually serving our spiritual growth, or just our egos? Is there such a thing as a "wolf in sheep's clothing"? Are we letting ourselves be that wolf in sheep's clothing, admiring ourselves in the mirror?

Goddamn, I have so much more to say, but I want to hear what you all think. Please, share your thoughts. Argue with me, damnit!

;^)

That is a fine piece of work you wrote there, Tommy. Very wise thoughts and observations. I see a strong kinship between iZo and what I understand Taoism to be, though it is evident your influences are not limited to one body of thought. I enjoy that iZo adopts all useful practices absorbed from infinite sources, infinite expressions of the Download. I appreciate the Download analogy very much as well, as it is part of my world-view, also. Regardless of one's opinion of Icke, he broke down the DNA/RNA link to a Downloadable metaphysical reality very well in "Infinite Love is the Only Truth...Everyting Else Is Illusion". I don't agree with him necessarily on all points, but I appreciate very much that he has followed his own heart into a world of fascinating research and has brought together vast quantities of information. He's a closet iZonist, izn't he? :)

I'm very happy to contribute my personal lessons and resources and will look forward to the contributions of the rest of the Church. Man, I never thought I'd say this, but it's gonna be nice having a church. :)

Thanks, Tommy!

MAGIC WARFARE

It is 4:33 in the morning on the Mayan Day Out of Time, and I just put the finishing touches on Doo Doo Magic (as if Doo Doo Magic could ever be finished). At any rate, I added a fifth direction to the directions of Space, Crap, Flesh, and Dream. The one element from standard occultist magic that I wish to keep- you guessed it- is fire. How could I quite unrighteously call myself Kali and leave fire out of my own mutated occultism? It is the alchemical fire that burns the crap of the past and enables the fake fury of magic warfare to destroy all evil, including multi-national corporations like Monsanto.
For those of you who don’t know about Monsanto, they’re the corporate overlord of genetically modified foods and hormones in our meats and dairy, including cancer-causing rBGH. Last year, they bought Seeds of Change, a huge organic food company. Although their boxed quinoa and salad dressings still read “organic,” it would be no surprise if they are substituting their own predatory grains and vegetables in place of these once organic products. In Brazil and Africa, amongst other places, they plant their seeds in the soil only to have them eat up the native crops. After these predatory crops take over the land, Monsanto harvests the seeds and sells them back to the real farmers of the land, who then become monetarily enslaved to Monsanto. Can you say “feudalism?”
Good luck protesting against a multi-national corporation the magnitude of Monsanto when corporations have more rights than natural-born American citizens. Your rebellion is useless in a system designed to smash the very resistance against it. Besides, The Law of Attraction say that putting one’s mental energy and attention towards something one doesn’t want will actually manifest more of that very same unwanted energy. The question is then, how do we get rid of these evil corporate giants that are eating freedom one third-world county at a time?
The answer is simple: Magic Warfare. In Magic Warfare, we do not say, “Please Monsanto, don’t hurt our poor little organic potatoes with your big bad seeds.” We do not say, “Fuck off Monsanto- you can’t dump cancer-causing agents in our rivers.” We do not even say, “stop feeding our cattle hormones that are causing the average meat-eating little girl to get her menstrual cycle at 7 and 8 years of age.” Nor do we take the time to write to our all-to impotent congressman who have our best interests at heart. Asking our government for favors at this point in an insult to human intelligence and a waste of paper at that. Unless of course, you’re one of those fags who takes his greatest pleasure sending endless emails to petition for the endangered Zimbwean butterflies who are being brutally tortured in the merciless jaws of the Ooboozabba Baba tribe of Flatterglatia.
In Magic Warfare, we do not, in fact, abide by any of the laws of the material world. In essence, our message is simple: “Monsanto, we will destroy your etheric body in the astral dimenstion.” After all, anything that has a physical body has an astral body as well, including genetically modified corn and carrots, which we threw into the fire for this particular doodoo spell. And by causing harm to the astral body of any entity, you are essentially manifesting the physical harm to that entity as well. This is the same principle that VooDoo uses, and VooDoo indeed comprises the yang principle of DooDoo magic. It gives it teeth with which to chomp.
“But wait, isn’t VooDoo black magic? I don’t want the bad luck that comes from a spell if it doesn’t work and gets reflected back to me.” That’s where the feminine principle of Dada comes in to lessen the blow by turning VooDoo into DooDoo. Truth be told, we brown magicians know nothing, and are protected by our self-proclaimed ignorance.
Besides, the kind of black magic voodoo that most people think of involves those silly little dolls that are supposed to represent the recipient of the spell. Corporations, on the other hand, are not people. They are legal fictions and as is such, deserve all the psychic artillery one can muster. This psychic artillery can take many forms: symbols of the corporation cremated in the holy hell-fury of a fire, groups of Goths masturbating with the collective intent of sending out their orgasmic energy to the destruction of the entity in question, a costumed noise band parade through the city. Any kind of improvisatory magic designed to destroy these legal fictions (as well as the monotonous fictions running through peoples’ heads) cannot be bad magic. The form doesn’t really even matter so much as the intent.
A huge benefit of Doodoo magic warfare, is that the police can’t arrest your for using your imagination. They might try, but if they do, just talk to them in Russian Gibberish from behind a pig mask, and I guarantee they will leave you alone. Take it from this Brown Magician who manifested in her living room the very next morning after the Monsanto spell- the brother of a reporter who follows Monsanto around the world to reveal the blood-sucking scum that they are: Magic Warfare works.

-Kali Blah Blah

Yes, this has been an interrogation from the 9th ring of the Plasmodium Zex, gyrating the zenith of civilization like a retarded Asian bellydancer. Watch how she spasms. See how she gimps along the wrong song with a gong welcoming CHAOS.
And in this momemt, all the spittle and cake of the plasmodium has heaved itself upon the sacrificial altar for inspection- every last nuance reveals its twisted divinity- every speck of salt on every stale pretzel- every last ingrown hair on the vast expanse of jerkied sex appeal.
In this wailing biosphere of neon sweat and shamelessness, we fine our good fortune. We are the chosen ones- runny pantyhose and all.

I'm in a cynical frame of mind, hope you frickin' hippies will forgive me, but... So the Demobrats won The House of cards. Yeah, its a step in the right direction, but their symbol ain't a jackass for nothing. Is anyone max enthused about this? Will you please tell me why - aside from 'the war in Iraq will end!' cause that's, like, a red herring tip of the iceberg. I can't think of anymore cliches so I'm outta here.

While surfing lubbering swells of passive-aggression from my parents on my frickin' fucking birthday (on a battered, splintered, metaphorical long board), a thought occurred to me. Rather, it bloomed, from "Why... when I'm expecting this... does it SLICE ME OPEN each time????"... to "Why can't I just DETATCH?"... to:

Why, when the "aware" among us (un)work to cultivate the Buddhist (non)goal of 'detatchment' ... do we look down on a general attitude of 'Who Gives A Fuck'? as a 'slacker', 'loser' approach to life?

Conversely, why do we aspire to be like a Tibetan Llama, for instance - spending huge blocks of time in meditation, ignoring the world's beauty/experience and practical service to others (who don't reach out for them)? One can argue that the meditation helps the Universal Vibe and all but, you know, how well IS Tibet doing with all this VibeAid? Not great, yo.

I don't have a point of view I'm pushing... I'm asking you for some insight, or somewhere to start.

The following is the transcript of Fr. Toylit's first sermon that he delivered at The Church of iZO Grand Opening on October 22, 2006 at around 5pm. Read it and metaphormose into the ether.

"It's sunday afternoon and it feels like church today, it feels like now
today, Do you know now? Does anybody here know what now feels like? can we
compare now to anything else? What is NOT like now? Now is a window, now is
a door, now is all we know and so much more.

Our anticipated futures and forgotten histories, the qualities of time all
wrapped up in myteries, on this psychological timeship that we call the
present. A portal to all that is was and will.

This is not to say that I am abandoning the timeline, but... there is so
much more now,now that now an expansion is not just DESIRABLE or NECESSARY,
but INEVITABLE, Since narrow concepts like "history" or the "future" get
farther and farther away from describing the thing we are experiencing.

TIME... all time, is MIGRATING, PENETRATING DEEPER AND DEEPER into the
extreme PRESENT, that raging volcano of experience where novelty is forged.

It is clich'e to state that we dont have enough time, or that time is
running out, this is all a semantic mirage, a simplistic mental picture we
have drawn. As if to say time was this bit of string held between two
points.

The fake truth is... YOU have NO time at all. It is time that has YOU.

Time has you FASCINATED, and this web of fascination, if you LOVE it,is
experienced as something akin to LUST. A root craving for experiences,
sensations, recollections.

However if you HATE it, the state can only be hinted at with the word DREAD,
of the past, of the present, of the future, of time itself.

Love it or hate it time is only a mirror, reflecting YOUR divine qualities,
in a narcissism that cuts both ways.

-------------------------- (touch three people, say "We are right here,
right now,TOGETHER!")

Fake enlightenment, fake enlightenment, fake, fake enlightenment, before I
go into THIS subject, i want to ask the retorical "does anyone know what
REAL enlightnment looks like?"

There are SO many people, living and dead that have been purported to
demonstrate this quality. Guru's, Saints, Rishi's, Sensei's, Messiah's and
so on... So one SHOULD be able at this point to say what enlightenment looks
like, or how the realized one acts, feels smells sounds behaves and like
that.

From here it is merely a matter of PRODUCING, or reproducing this rather
modest index of qualities like you would in an acting class.

Then WATCH THE FUN, as friends and family mistake YOU for an illuminated
holy being! THRILL, as confused religeous seekers and devotees, lay money,
flowers, candles and coconuts at your fake holy feet. It breaks the ice at
parties!

You might well ask yourself, "Why DO fake orgasms exist?" or fake money, or
fake cheesecake, or fake diamonds or fake rolex watches, or fake gold? Why
do they exist?

BECAUSE---- (dummies) THE REAL THING EXISTS. (all rise and say"DUH").

This fake phenomenon alone, is of interest. For quite often the fake is
cooler and more useful than the article that it imitates. Fake money is
definately more fun to spend than real money, provided you dont get caught
(which is part of the fun). Fake cheesecake is GREAT, less filling, fewer
calories, and fake diamonds sparkle with the same light that fires the holy
sun and are bigger, easier to get come in a greater variety of colors and
you dont cry if you lose them.

So it is with fake enlightenment, with the added bonus that if and when REAL
enlightenment rolls your way, you have eyes to see, and some basic idea of
what it looks like. How would you recognize it otherwise?

Who wants to be a "real" saint anyway? Real saints get burned at the stake.

(all rise and say "MARTYR-DUMB!")

Call it magic, but there are many people who use their so-called psychic
abilities to a fair advantage in this world. Some are clairvoyant, others
are channels, some are merely sensitives,or intuitive. We can all recognize
a hunch or a gut feeling, or a synchronicity when we encounter one.

So how do we take these subtle, often completely subjective sensations and
move them from the "soft" sphere of our BEING and bring them into the
denser, more utilitarian instrument of our DOING?

That is to say, it is wonderful to know yourself as a "receiver", but as
such we can only passively wait to receive, recognition of our experience
coming as an after-effect. Would one not also like to be a "transmitter" as
well?

Once one is both transmitting and receiving of the synchronistic plasma that
is the psychic information belt flowing all around us, one becomes yet a
THIRD thing. An active and participating witness, a REAL player in the
cosmic dramaas it unfolds.

However as long as we are lingering over the the subjective world of
reception, or the object-driven state of transmission, LANGUAGE ITSELF is an
ADVERSARY.

The linearity of grammar, the causal chain of so-called "meaning" is
encrypted in our parts of speech, and we are habit bound by precedent,
prisoners in a cage of reasons.

Our opponent, language must be expanded into a broader phase-state to allow
us access to our higher senses. Including such subtlties as color, number,
shape, attitude, texture, imagination, the entire index of qualities in concert
generate a syneasthesia to enrich language and make it our friend.

HERE IS THE OPEN SECRET TO UNLOCK YOUR SOFT INTUITIONS AND QUICKEN THEM INTO
FULL BLOWN PSYCHIC ABILITIES.....

Time/space, matter consciousness, the world, the very fabric of "reality" is
a POEM.

(and all its most intimate features, you, your tax records, to your stained
underpantsare likewise made of poetry, and are guided by the rules of
poetry.)

This leads us to a changing of accounts.

There is the LAW of reason, and a LAW of poetry.

The law of reason is based, like grammar, on PRECEDENT. These precedents are
recorded in fat volumes that fill vast bookshelves in universities
everywhere, "Roe vs Wade","The People vs Larry Flynt", "Toylit vs The State
of California" "you and me vs The WORLD.

With this enormous GLUT of precedent as an organizing principle, JUDGEMENTS
are made, punishments meted out, and/or monies exchanged.

NOTE, however that whenever REAL justice is done... (NOT man's mutilated
machinations) but TRUE perfect synchronistic JUSTICE, I mean when someone
REALLY GETS whats coming to them... is it not bittersweet? Is it not POETIC?

This in mind i want you to ask yourself what contains more nourishing truth?
Reason? or Poetry?

Because what I am asking you to do is essentially to change banks.

I am asking, no BEGGING you to please, WITHDRAW your investment in REASON,
as an organizing principle, and put EVERYTHING YOU GOT into the POEM, the
erotic, poetic, novelty generating attractor at the center of the timewave.
The true organizing principle of the plazmodium ZYX.

this transfer is permanent and utterly non-negotiable, so this is your
chance to back out now. I will give you a few minutes to make up your
mind.-----------------------

abbazabba- shish malookashoomy poop!

So here we are........."

iZO Opening Intention

Here is a transcription of the Opening Intention at the Grand Opening of the CHurch of iZO, delivered by Brahamachari Bang (Aaron). It is so beautiful and perfect!!!! Enjoy!

Greeeeetings fellow travelers, blessed congregation of those in body and those who’ve joined us only in spirit. I am honored to be in your presence, honored to bring our mind and heart together to set the intention for this holy gathering, and to center our thoughts on the eternal. Earth’s inhabitants are awakening more each day to the power of intentionality, recognizing the importance of our thoughts and how we project them into the world. I am here because Pastor Poot invited me, but he invited me because it was my unspoken intention to address this congregation and revel in the glory of our common frequencies.

By holding this talking stick, I am empowered to speak from my heart, addressing not only the congregation, but every corner and expanse of the universe. All beingness and non-beingness hears my words and respects the power of my intention. After I speak my intentions I will pass the talking stick and we will turn our attention to the intentions of another in our congregation, then another. Please state your intention for this gathering and for the Church of iZO.

My personal intention for this glory-holy gathering is for myself and all others present to be present, open to and respectful of the intentions of all other church-goers. I intend to forego all cultural limitations in the expression of my divine light and love for all. I will focus on our commonalities and be present to the silence and stillness of the one creative moment. For the Church of iZO I intend millenia of celebrated enlightenment; for the Church to be a vehicle of knowledge, wisdom, and universal love. I intend for the church also to be a vehicle of the divine creative aspect and for all beings involved to realize their own creative power.

Aum-Shanti. Namaste.

Church of iZO OPENED FOR BUSINESS!

The Church of iZO Grand Opening was amazing! First of all, it happened. After 10 years of working this on and off throughout what seems to be several lifetimes of careers and epic movie-script living, the vision i had so long ago in my junior year in college finally came to fruition. but oh i never had imagined in my wildest dreams that it would manifest the way it did. it was far better than anything i could make up on my own. and for that i am so grateful.

for those of you who missed it, let me relay my perspective of what went down.

It was a bit of a scorcher and of course church-goers in our scene had a hard time getting there before 4, so being the anarchist church we are, we started a little later in the afternoon when the sun was lower in the sky. there was Bach church organ music playing, probably the closest we were to ever get to being a traditional church . it was quite surreal. Adam Christoph had gone to town on the decor with some amazing sparkling pieces that saw their first light of day at iZO. and Mr. Andrew Bangsberg hooked us up with some fresh yummy carpet that had been used only one time before. and of course, there is always the psychoerotic attractor at the center of time that's in my backyard: the Hollywood sign. the physical space was dazzling.

there were close to 50 of the devout on hand. and what an amazing group they were. I loved everyone there. We set the intention for the day led by Brahmachari Bang (most of you know him as Aaron or Selphmade). HIs words were beautiful and inspiring. I will post them in my next blog.

Next, we had an information overview of what iZO is all about. We went over our 4 main areas we are sponsoring activity in: Health and Vitality, Creative Artistic Expression, Community, and Shamanic Research (I'll elaborate on those in another blog). We revealed that in just 18 months of existance we went from nothing to operating 6 different amazing locations. There's my house which is HQ and The iZO Vitality Center which hosts SuperYummy Yoga Mon and Wed at 4:30. There's the Shamanic Temple, a sprawling 5 acre pad at the top of Las Flores Canyon in Malibu overlooking the ocean that Geza operates as a retreat center and recording studio. Then there's PlayaGround, the artist collective warehouse space in Downtown LA that Tomas is in the process of renovating. Then there's The Institute for Acausal Studies which is Toylit's science-fiction time travel research hub. There's Creativity in Venice at which Toylit and Log host an anarchist open mic blowout every Friday. And finally, there's The Vortex, a huge community center downtown that is fully permitted and deep in renovations. Wow. it's hard to believe it's true, but it is. for more info on what iZO is all about, check tribes.tribe.net/izo

after the information download, we got into the fire and brimstone. Geza delivered an inspired portrayal of the iZO Mission. I will post that in my next blog as well. Then Fr. Toylit brought the house down with a rousing fake sermon. "All rise and say 'DUH'!" We need to transcribe that asap. DJ Dandelion expertly pulled crazy sound clips of epic movie anthems and humorous soundbytes.

Then we had a real bonafide anointing with this amazing oil that Geza had scored from the Hawaiian Cannabis Ministry. It was hemp oil with a cinnamon flavor and was made from the original recipe that Moses had used back in the day that apparently was listed in the original Old Testament before the Catholic Church got their fascist hands on it. Lemme tell ya, this was no superficial anointing. You could actually feel the oil open up your soul.

Finally, we got into Alien Yoga led by Kali Erin Logshmi. www.alienyoga.com This was the best Alien Yoga class i've seen Log teach. She was just superbly absurd. it was a riot to watch everyone with animal totem hats on doing shoulder openers with spacetime tennis racket grids and toilet plungers. Alien Yoga culminated in an amazing eastern-flavored breakbeat dance party with David Starfire on the decks.

Special thanks go to Bui who made the most amazing spring rolls and iZO jUiCE for the congregation! bui rocks!!!

I am so thankful to everyone that was there, physically and in spirit, for making that day so perfect and memorable. we're going to try and do this once a month. In the meantime, please check out SuperYummy Yoga that goes down here at iZO HQ every Monday and Wednesday at 4:30 starting next Monday.

GEZA'S GRAND OPENING SPEECH:

Dearly Beloved,

We are gathered here today to celebrate the birth of a new religion……

Why on EARTH would anyone want to do that, considering the times we live in? it’s true, at worst religion has been the source of impossible suffering, institutionalized trauma, and child abuse. But at best, it has also been a souce of comfort and the steward of the collected wisdom of a tribe. Strike that, let me just take that back: Organized religions totally suck. They promote mass delusions, violent competition among societies, and institutionalized greed. So what is OUR excuse? That’s the real question.

Well, for one thing the IRS. THEY have certain conditions which must be met before we can obtain the paperwork to collect donations, sponsor projects, and create grants for the good of civilization, while supporting philosophers, scientists, and artists to the max. The term ‘religion’ is the cost of admission to that alternate world. Once the government is satisfied, we can proceed safely with our mission, which is quite earnest. We far prefer to view ourselves as a ‘shamanic research foundation’ or a society of seekers.

Well then, what IS shamanism? The short answer is this: every group in history has had its individuals who use meditation, trance, physical excersises and other means to place themselves across the gap between this world and other worlds that seem to be related to art, symbolism, imagination, dreams, and psychic phenomena. There are so many variants to this it’s pointless to define the undefinable. But the TYPE of person that engages in these activities, as well as the methods employed, tend to be extraordinarily similar, despite different time periods and cultures. What then is the common variable? There MUST be something to it, because those individuals have consistently been credited with healings, manifestations, and other peculiar, acausal miracles. WHY does it work that way? Well, one possible answer is that the gap between worlds is not as big as we think it is. Another is that shamans go up in the sky and ASK for real answers, instead of making demands or groveling for prizes.

Today is a combination party/ 'church' service. We are launching a group that subscribes to a personal shamanic search for meaning, creation, magic, and manifestation. It is a cooperative, anarchist, faith-based initiative. We plan to investigate the secrets of the universe. We assume that we know nothing. Our motto is that we inhale wisdom instead of exhaling dogma. This foundation will support the arts, protect first amendment rights, build sustainable communities, and test the universe for 'god' and 'magic' in scientific ways. It will NEVER tell anyone what to believe, quite the opposite. It encourages each person to search as earnestly, diligently, and open-mindedly as possible for personal truth, rather than parrot preexisting dogma or mythology just because it's in the collective vocabulary.

Each person in iZO is allowed their own opinion about spiritual matters. We do not claim to know ANYTHING, and perhaps we never will, although some of our questions HAVE started to elicit a very high order of 'synaesthetic understanding' which we are enthusiastically looking at. In my opinion, by actually LISTENING to the universe, instead of barfing our puny mortal opinions at it, we have pulled a cork out of the bottle and MAYBE the genie has started to flow out.

We want to share whatever that is with you and with others. Members are invited to ask spiritual questions, not from us, but directly from the source. Then they are encouraged to compare their discoveries, hatch theories for the group to experiment on, write papers for our archives, and help others work THEIR quest, their own way.

I should also mention that we have gone to great lenghths not to take ourselves too seriously. There are all sorts of elements we’ve put into this project to protect it. It is idiot-proofed and booby-trapped to death. We seek mainly to learn, so when we have to talk we try to keep it light, silly, and ambiguous. You might say we fall into a tradition of culturejamming best exemplified by the Situationists, Yippies, yes-Men, Subgenius, groups like that. There is a great deal of truth that can be communicated safely through satire and absurdity. Humor cuts through a variety of mental filters. And yet sometimes it makes you laugh so hard you don’t even realize you’re actually crying. I mean look at South Park.

The world is a fucked up place these days, no question about it. Nothing is safe anymore, not even the truth. But even worse, what IS the truth? I wouldn’t want to be the one making those false claims. Better to use the weird dissonance evoked by humor and abstraction to get a complex FEELING across rather than making insane, confining, demands on others which they would subsequently reject anyway.

That, in a capsule, is my interpretation of iZO’s vision, and our mission. You are welcome to approach it differently, as long as you respect the rights of the individual. All we ask for is your sincerity and participation. Help us discover something new. And please, please, please, have fun while you do it.

The Church of iZO Grand Opening!

FINALLY!
After incorporating in March, 2005 as a tax exempt non-profit public church/religious organization in the State of California, as defined under Internal Revenue Code Section 508, The Church of iZO is finally opening its doors to the public.

I moved to LA from the East Coast, arriving at the Piscean Passion party March 12, 2005, with the main intention to start a religion, a disorganized religion which sponsored personal shamanic research into the esoteric and inner realms that bridge Spirit and matter. Built on a solid anarchist foundation (ha!), this ‘religion’ is being constructed to self-destruct upon self-realization, and one of our main messages is that Spirit is not accessed through a mediator such as a priest or an institution, but rather from Within. Therefore, we’re setting up iZO to be like the Space Shuttle rocket booster that detaches once the space craft has left the atmosphere, or like an efficient catalyst that washes away after a potent chemical reaction.

It took a while to formulate that sentiment, and to figure out how to implement it in practice. Even more crucial, it took a while to find and identify the right people to become the core iZO team. Tomas Verde has been there from the beginning. Then we met Geza X and got married to him. Then of course we swapped fluids with Toylit and Log. And then rounded it out with Xanadu, Kachina Katrina, and many others. WE’RE TALKING FULL-ON CONSPIRACY!!! And now it’s time to take it to the people and expand.

I’m proud to announce the launch of our paradigm shattering iZO Vitality Program, kicked off by SuperYummy Yoga and Alien Yoga classes facilitated by Alien Yoga Goddess Kali Erin “Log”shmi. The location could not be more surreal and serene, at treetop level within a stones throw of the Hollywood sign. And we’re currently renovating our space and getting heat lamps to make it possible to practice over the next few months.

Wow! I am soooo excited for this to go down. The iZO dream and vision is so epic, and this is just the beginning. I hope to see you here some day, and together we can bellow Fake Italian Opera as we do triangle pose shoulder openers with psychoerotic colonic toilet plungers and space/time grid tennis rackets.

Please join the Church of iZO Tribe!

Fear and Timelessness

Attention all iZO Doctors and Doctorate-Candidates of Teleology, High Faculty of the Institute for Acausal Studies, iZO Potentiates and Observers, Space-Invading Alligators from the Future, and Clinical Synesthesiological Octopi:

By Request of Prof. Toylit, Provider of Space and Director of The Institute for Acausal Studies, I am calling a forum to explore the subject: “Fear and Timelessness”.

Let us come together to discuss this matter which could possible relieve some serious stress and provide eternal happiness to the ever-vigilant iZOnite.

Your humble pewt in iZO,

Father Fancis van der Baals, Dr.T.

Fear and Timelessness

Abstract:

The Indian philosopher, anti-guru guru, Jiddu Krishnamurti speaks much of time and timelessness, as well as fear and freedom from fear.

To summarize Krishnamurti thoughts: Comparison is the opposite of not being one with everything. Comparison is the situation of there being an observer and the observed, rather than the observer being one with the observed so that there is only an observed. The observer is the past, and the past is knowledge accumulated over time. Therefore living in the present is not ‘acting from knowledge’ but rather is ‘observing without comparison.’ This if you were to feel one with all the people in your life, and take it even further to being one with everything, and that everything you observe is you, at that point you will have achieved timelessness.

Also, according to Krishnamurti, Fear is caused by comparison, which is comparing the past to the unknown future, thus fear is living in the past. So…if we were to eliminate comparison of ourselves with others and other things, and with the thing most dangerous to compare to, that which we feel we should be but are not yet, i.e. living in the past and in an idealized future, then we would achieve the timelessness of the present, and at the same time eliminate all duality. And thus we would eliminate fear.

At the heart of our inquisition will be the following works of Krishnamurti: Total Freedom, in particular the chapter “A Relationship with the World”, and the book “On Fear”. In particular, the following quotes will serve as a foundation for the conversation:

“There is fear in relationship, because in relationship we have created the image of you and me…When the observer is the observed there is a fundamental change in that which is observed. When there si division beteen the observer and the observe, in that division there is conflict [and fear]…Total observation is only possible when there is no observer- the observer being the past…The very observation is the energy which transforms ‘that which is.’” p. 304-306, “Total Freedom”, ‘A Relationship with the World’, Krishnamurti, April 10, 1976

“…the observer is fragmentary; it says, ‘I am conscious of the limitations of my thought.’ That obsever is the past and the past, which is fragmentary, makes every action fragmentary. The past is the knowledge, experience, all the things that human beings have gather together for centuries and centuries….The ideal is the opposite of what is. The ideal is in the future, and what is is actual. One does not know how to deal with the actual, how to understand it, how to go beyond it and, therefore, not being able to under it, one projects an ideal, which fictitious, which is not actual. So there is the division between what is and the ideal and, hence, conflict [and fear.] p. 298-299, “Total Freedom”, ‘A Relationship with the World’, Krishnamurti, April 4, 1976

“Is one of the causes of fear comparison? Comparing oneself with somebody else? Obviously it is. So, can you live a life comparing yourself with nobody? You understand what I’m saying? When you compare yourself with another, ideologically, psychologically, or even physically, there is the striving to become that; and there is the fear that you may not. It is the desire to fulfill and you may not be able to fulfill. Where there is comparison there must be fear. And so one asks whether it is possible to live without a single comparison, never comparing, whether you are beautiful or ugly, fair or not fair, approximating yourself to some ideal, to some pattern of values. There is this constant comparison going on. We are asking, is that one of the causes of fear? Obviously.” “p. 2-3, “On Fear”, Krishnamurti, May 8, 1982
