The Shimmy – probably the most important bellydance movement in your vocabulary, no matter what style you choose. Learn to perfect your shimmy with this intensive master class taught by Oracle of the Jahara Phoenix Dance Company. This class starts with basic shimmy drills and exercises to increase the muscle strength used specifically for the shimmy. You will then move into layering technique and finish with traveling steps done across the floor. Students will gain a stronger understanding of their own muscular anatomy and will have a clear idea of how to practice shimmies at home or at the studio
