I'm going to be in Yokosuka from January through March 2010 and was wondering if anyone could recommend a cabaret-style teacher that offers bilingual classes. I'll have access to the gym on the Navy base if anyone knows a teacher working out of there.
Thanks.

Is Yokosuka main island or Okinawa? There's a new bilingual teacher at the USO on Kadena AFB and a group that goes by MoonRoses around the area. :)

Haha, what a question. ; ) Japan consists of four big islands and several small ones and one island group in the South is called Okinawa. Which one do you consider the "main island"? Honshu? Yokosuka is about 2 hours drive from Tokyo, and one of the couple of places with an US army base. It is also not very far from some beaches.

Main island = Tokyo! Or at least that's how it's been described to me! I suppose any island that isn't as tiny as Okinawa is "main", though! Misawa & Yokota (military bases!) are the only ones that I know of on "main island!"

Oh, they told you that Tokyo was an island? LOL!
Never heard of Misawa. There are a couple more near Tokyo but I can't remember their names. One near Atsugi where people keep complaining and filing law suits about the noise of jet fighters thundering over their houses all the time. I have have to halt in the middle of my speech, every time I teach a lesson near that area and one comes flying.
