A MAN in southern India has married Selvi, a female stray dog... Ok it was an attempt to lift what he believes is a curse but he still married that dog in a traditional Hindu ceremony.

Mon, November 19, 2007 - 5:05 PMI've been to India, and they do some pretty unusual things there. Apparently during the ceremony the dog ran off, and the grooms relatives had to retrieve it. The moral of this story is always be nice to dogs and take good care of them. Woof!

Mon, November 19, 2007 - 7:00 PMOh yes, be nice to dogs. My mom's boyfriend told her a story from the Koran where a woman was very hot and thirsty and came across a dog who was dying of thirst. She gave the last of her water to the dog and she went to heaven. I'm sure my mom summarized it for me and some of the details are off, but I liked the moral of the story. -
