Hi, I got my fans! They're beautiful. I can't work out if I have a right and left handed one though; they both seem the same.
I was surprised at how the colours worked, had started to worry a little - but they look like the Caribbean sea, absolutely perfect.

Whew! I feel better now!
To answer your question, the fans should open the same way. the advantage of this is that you *can't* screw up on stage by accidentally swapping them. They both open the same so you can pass one from hand to hand, too.
