Hi everyone, just a quick update....in early Feb I ordered $142 worth of fans from her, and despite many attempts to track her down I never received anything...She literally took my money and ran. People can defend her with sob stories of her sad existance, but she is still a crook if you ask me. She never even responded to my many emails, not once. Every action has karma, so for all of you who have also been "robbed" by Jenna, I'm sure we will all run into her somewhere in the dance world and she if she steps up to the plate and refunds us our money she has been living on.

it's too late for me to go through my cc company so I wanted to at least warn anyone considering doing business with her...save yourself of her drama.

Have any of you heard from Jenna? I'm rather concerned.

And, if one of us does come to an event she is at, has there been any consensus as to what to say? I'm not stirring the pot--I am honestly concerned about her, but we should probably come up with a standard something to say. After all, you don't want to be carried out of an event kicking and screaming with fistfulls of hair in your hand but...no fans.

I vend, so I am at events early, often a day early. I am not owed fans, but if I see her before you guys, is there a message, a communal message, to say? I mean, besides, "they want their fans. And they're mad." Should we vendors get a copy of the list of people owed fans and their contact info to give to her if we see her?

Has someone checked to see if she signed up for TF8? Tribal Cafe? She was there last year. If no one has heard from her in this long....this is not a good sign, and I'm honestly very worried about her. But also, from a business perspective, this is not good either.

I wanted fans, but after reading about the problems I decided to hold off. The good news is that I was able to find the pair I wanted being sold on ebay , and received them in less then a week. Now I want more, but still can not bring myself to order due to all the dissent. But while searching through my tribes I found a thread that suggest "UNIVERSAL_CURIO" (an ebay seller) as an alternative. The fans in the pictures look identical to my JHips. The feedback says that orders can take up to three weeks, but were worth it. The prices are less then $10 for the 1.5 meters and this includes a custom dye job. I'll be ordering a set come payday, and let you all know if they really are as good as Jenna's.

These are fans that I bought from Jhip and received earlier this year. The "new" has worn off and I'm ready for a new prop (I go through props like crazy - short attention span). These are the demilunes - large fans (when opened they are 29" from tine to tine - silk is approx 51" from end to end) with silk on both sides so that the tines can't be seen. I paid $75 for them originally and have used them 3 times. They are in great shape - I never fray-checked the edges, but fraying has been minimal. Very easy to open - I've taken good care of them.

Asking $60.00. Shipping in the States is $6.00 Priority Mail in a shipping tube. Paypal preferred.

Fire Fans...

Just felt the need to share a good experience with a vendor.
I ordered fire fans from stiltdancer last monday.. Actually a custom order, The large were to large and the small to small hehe.
I was leary to pay with paypal but I did. I got the fans YESTERDAY AND LOVE THEM

So, are we done hoping for a resolution? Anyone that is owed fans or refund-just sit quietly and forget it; write off the money as a bad deal but a good lesson?

Has ANYONE talked to Jenna? Is she capable of talking, emailing, phoning, writing? Is there some horrible reason why none of us can get satisfaction?

Just morbidly curious at this point. After 6 months I no longer believe in a good outcome.

Not one single response to my emails. I've never had to chase someone for a refund before. everyone says she's honest and I believe that, but there is some serious integrity issues being brought up here. does anyone have a phone # so I can finally resolve this.

Hi, I am writing because I orignally ordered 2 sets of fans many months ago, around Feb. After waiting much longer then she said it would take, the fans arrived, but one set of mine were the complete wrong color. So she said it would just be 2 weeks to receive the correct color fans. that was in April and I have since been told by Jenna that my fans were being shipped and I never received them. I gave her my address twice and never received anything. When I email her, all I get is this automatic response saying her internet is down.

I have asked her to refund my money several times now and have never once heard back from her. She has my hard-earned money and has never delivered the product. I can't help but feel like I've been cheated by this woman.

Anyone else have bad experiences with her, or know how I can get ahold of her and get my money back?

Internet down.....

Hi Guys!

Please expect delays in communications... no internet, and since the boy bought an iPhone, and therefore changed cell phone providers, he no longer has the TMobile internet access at Starbucks, Borders, etc.

Also, I expect arrival of the TFest, Cairo Carnivale and other fans to arrive early next week.

If you ordered last week from in-stock, due to the intercrap, I can't print pages from Paypal, make packing lists or print shipping labels at the moment. I will tackle all that at library/Kinko's when I get a ride to them on Monday.

Alternate method of sealing the edges of silk (just a suggestion. ;-P)

Okay - I'll admit it - I can't STAND Stay Check. It's a real hate/hate relationship - so take this for what it's worth. ;-P Now that that's out in the open, here is what I used and how I used it to seal my fan edges, and I'm really pleased with the results.

All of the methods mentioned were done as experiments with my silk scraps before I did the final on the fans BTW...

I ended up using Fray Block by putting the silk over my non-pourous work/matting board with paper towels over that, and then applied it very carefully to the edges (tiny, tiny amount on edges) using a small, flat edged fabric paint brush applicator. I brushed it from inside to the edge, only 1/16th of an inch in, and NOT by dragging the brush along the edge, so it didn't pull at the fabric.

The other ways were too messy (soap) and pulled at the fabric too much, or too heavy/crunchy (Stay check). Tried the incence burn thing, but I didn't have enough control on my scraps - and decided that it would be better not to go that route. Hope this helps. It took a little while, but I really like the results. ;-P Happy fans!

I would love to hear your opinions! Please post them here in the thread and not in the photo comments!

General Info: These are sold individually. The tines are over a yard long and an inch wide. Two full layers of fabric, so one on each side. The gold is actually a reflective metallic gold, and silver is also available. I'm working on getting these that will be a different color on each side. The purple is a different fabric that I'm trying to find out what it's made of. it *should* be available in all colors, but that info is pending. These will likely be $90-$95 each, and the shipping will be more expensive than normal. They weigh in at 3-4 pounds each. I also noticed in a photo in my Tribal Bible that the chorus dancers had 2 of these and were doing backup-ish moves with these. It is possible to use 2 at once if you are fricken strong and fricken crazy!!!

Unhappy jhips customers.

After having seen several videos and pictures,I was very impressed by the apparent quality of this product. I wish that I could speak of their quality first hand however, after purchasing a set and waiting several months i have still not received the items I purchased. This is especially disconcerting since I have spoken to other customers who have experienced the same dilemma. This is confusing since we have heard that these items sell well at events, so this is obviously not a matter of lack of supply. I and others I have spoken to, am left wondering why even after paying out a relatively large sum of money, we take a back seat in priority to Live events.

Ideally this would be handled between the customer and the seller. However my attempts at communication have been met with empty promises and then no responses. i have allt he dates and emails and receipts saved regarding this matter. Its my continuing hope that this matter will be resolved to the mutual satisfaction of all parties involved. But that hope dwindles with every passing week.

This is not intended to have this thread turn into bashing Jhip! Designs. I do wish to see this business flourish. But this is a matter that needs to be addressed.

They are so priii-tee, I am so haa-pee, I have my faaa-aaanns. Okay - done with the stupid sing-a-long voice. But I immediately ripped into my box, and they are all so perfect, and pretty, and floaty, and, and, and... I ran outside with all of them to play in the wind. The fire is sooo pretty, and the bright aqua and purple (more brilliant than the fairy pastel) is just perfect! thanks so much for all your help with me on making sure they would be the right colors, Jenna. that is exactly what I was dreaming of!!! and the Demilunes - Oooohhhh - they are sooo evil and gothy looking in black and red. Sweeet.

Okay - I've also been running up and down my kitchen aisle (galley type) with them too - they are so perfect, and they are really sturdy with the bamboo tines. Not chinsy at ALL.

Yeah - I get to dance with them a month sooner than I thought! Thank you Jenna, thank you.

Ok, Wow...

Hi all!

I stuck my head in here early last week, and all was quiet. That was good, I thought. I had just about boxed all the orders, and was working out the last kinks, and decided not to answer any emails until EVERYTHING was handled, either mailed or notified. (After the first couple days when I got this order, answering all the emails about it left no time to pack and ship, so I decided that the actual packing & shipping was more important. This business is still just me, BTW. No help yet.)

I pulled up the melodia tribe and left it on a window with permission to ONLY check that tribe, and only as brief rewards to myself for good behavior on working my butt off. On my first day off shared with my BF in over 3 weeks, I spent only 3 hours with him. Worked the rest of the time. I also skipped on on a day trip to little India with my friends, and dedicated that time to getting finished. Still haven't taken a dance class in 6 months, but it's almost over.

And I finished. All items are shipped or the fan owners have been notified as to why. Now, I can take care of the older emails, get back to everyone, and start the next order. After all my lost cash, hard work, and mayhem, I had finally done it. I was down to 2 weeks out on orders placed 2 weeks ago. As soon as I've revamped the website, I'm on a 48hr turnaround on all in-stock items. And I FINALLY made a profit! Ok, so it's only $385. Across 502 counted hours (I've only kept track since January. That's 76 cents an hour, before taxes, but it's a PROFIT, dangit!!!) It doesn't matter about that other vendor who ripped off my idea and and is selling cheaper quality fans at an undercut price. People are copying my stuff. It's all good! All is well, right?

Apparently not.

I came back to:
-Snarky, passive-agressive emails from people AFTER receiving their shipping notices.
-Someone actually responding to my emails saying "No you're not going to answer my previous email, don't lie. " Exact quote. I neglected to copy/paste the swearing.
-Someone called my TEACHER looking for me. She who lives 3000 miles away from me. I haven't seen her in 11 months. And the person who called my teacher blamed me because she changed her email address shortly after ordering, and didn't update me. But it's my fault. I didn't read her mind.
-Someone called two of my friends looking for me. And this is a person who ordered only 4 weeks ago. She called 2 people she didn't know to look for me because she heard about some problems on here. She heard they knew me, so called them.
-the people who ripped off my idea are now friending people on my tribe and on my friends list, stating they have fans, and undercutting even more. Doesn't matter that their quality isn't as good. That's just rude.
-This one's the worst: People assuming the worst of me after a very short time of not posting on this tribe - Not disappearing, just not posting because I was working on their orders.

So I'm taking a deep breath. I didn't sleep at all last night. Not one minute. I'm so wound up from this, I can't imagine being relaxed again anytime soon. Here we go:

Here's some clarifications, and I will be answering each posting in full, once I can collect myself and do the proper research:
-I WILL be returning all emails. I haven't checked my voicemail yet, but I imagine that's burning up, too. My hearing impairment doesn't like the phone very much, so you may have to excuse me if I respond via email. That's the way i can be sure to understand you best.

Please stop assuming that I can just disappear when I can't. I cannot vanish with all your money and your fans. Bar Smell

General Info: These come in pairs ONLY! Price range will be in the $70-$80 per *pair*. These are hand-dyed, two separate fans of varying length tines cut in butterfly shape. They are fully two-sided, meaning the design is on two layers of silk which cover both sides, so the design is clear and uninterrupted, no matter which side you are seeing. The round dots are silver metallic paillettes which reflect light.

Hi, Jenna. I meant to post before to tell you how absolutely LOVELY your fans are, but I was having a lot of trouble with my internet service. I have seen people perform with your fire fans and the fans are exquisite.

Our teacher is thinking about having us perform a dance with the fire-type fans. If say, 9 or 10 of us order all at once, would we need to all order the same colors? Would there be a bit of a price break since it would be a big order?

Since my internet is finally functional, I enjoyed looking at ALL the fans. They are gorgeous, and unique, and very original. Keep up the good work!

What's Really Been Going On - Explanation of the Saga of the Fans... (if you care)

Hi all! Here we go...

So, I made some fans, and almost liked them. they were almost perfect. But, for me to make them, it would have cost the customers $120 per fan. WAAAAAYYY too much! So I found a silk dyer who was paired up with a fan maker, and sent them what I had. Oddly enough, it was very similar to some traditional fans, and they modified them to suit my needs. We entered an agreement, and I got my sample fans from them last November. They were perfect, and so much fun!

I had them on hand at several December events, and the reaction was WAY above what I expected, so I consulted my vendor, got an approximate timetable, and started taking preorders, with the first order to be made in January. Cool! He had a minimum order of 20, and i sent him my custom color swatches for him to match. No problems.

Well, the vendor put me off a bit, saying he needed to buy the supplies, wait for delivery, etc. then asked for a deposit to get started, which I sent. He sent a few update emails after that, then NOTHING. No response to my emails. none. I tried to contact him for a few weeks, and when I still got nothing, I desperately began the search for a new vendor. Fortunately, that didn't take long. I sent them my info and specs and waited for my prices. And waited. And waited. I kept at trying to email my old vendor to no avail, and began stacking on extra shifts at work to cover the now-assumed-missing deposit money.

Finally, I was sent a list of prices, and was told that these were the retail prices. How many I bought determined my percentage off the retail price. this was where I really started to freak out. The list they sent me was WAY higher than the last guy. for instance, the demilune fans were costing me more that I'd charged my customers! However, if I bought 400 demilunes, then at my current price, I would make $1.16 per fan. What a deal. :P

I started working more shifts to cover the higher costs, and wrote back saying that these were unacceptable prices, and gave them my previous price list to operate from, with a request for some samples to compare craftmanship. And I didn't hear from them for 2 days, so I wrote again and got the auto-generated response email announcing that they were off for Chinese New Year--FOR A WEEK!!! Are you kidding me?? one very nice guy emailed me from his home and was trying to work on it over the holiday, which was great, but it took forever. At this point, some people had been waiting 2.5 months, and the fans weren't even started yet. Freak out much? I did.

I offered free gifts to all customers who were waiting (you ladies have a choice of 3, and if you didn't find that info in your package, let me know) and gritted my teeth at the extra costs, picking up more shifts at work to cover the cost.

I finally got them to agree on somewhat lower prices when the new vendors got back from vacation, and they started work, sending me samples as they went.. The samples came out nice, and the shipping was quick. I was so happy!! They sent the fans out a couple of weeks later, with a tracking number, and the fans went in to San Francisco customs. And sat. And sat. No call. No demand for duties. No letter. no nothing. for ten more days. Not one damn thing. Then they just show up. They haven't been inspected or opened, they just frigging sat for a while. Yeesh. Paid the duties and moved on to sending, hoping to all hell that I had gotten everything.

Some of them were a little wrong, and one was stained. Some, I have to reorder, but it could have been worse. Several packages were returned and had to be re-sent. Some people didn't find their care instructions or voucher for free stuff. but they're out there,and now I can deal with the aftermath.

I lost $2000 before I stopped counting. That's the missing deposit and elevated prices I had to pay under the new vendor. It takes approximately 32 shifts to make that much money at work. Put that in a 5-day work week, and you have over 6 weeks of work OUTSIDE of regular bills, just to make this first order go through. That's not counting where I didn't charge some people properly for shipping, nor does it count the thank you gifts that people have to choose for me to send. If 50 of the orders choose a free Eye Kandy glitter for their choice, well, those retail at $8, plus shipping, so you do the math. I can't because I'll get supremely depressed. Of course, those hours don't count for any of the hundreds of hours of internet time communicating, ordering, promoting, etc. And I basically paid out a chunk of change for the honor of doing all that work. Ugh. I extimate the total loss will be about $4K, and that's for me to do all this work for free.

So some things got turned off. Internet was one for a while, and even the power for a couple of days. I haven't taken a dance class in almost 6 months. The Ansuya workshop I took was paid for before all this started. I've been to 3 major festivals since and didn't take a workshop. I'm a dancer, dammit, not a drone! Oh, and keep in mind that I'm doing all this without a car, too. Karma has been a SAINT the way she's carted me around during all this, and I didn't even tell her the full extent of the problems. Funny thing is, I'm a frigging designer, not a prop-mongerer! but here I am, pimping fans, because I have to try to recover. I hope skelts do a leetle bit better...

And that's just orders through the first half of February that have been dealt with. The rest are yet to come. But they ARE coming. I'm sorry if you hate me! I'm sorry if I've made you mad! That is not my intent. I am going to make this work, and miraculously, I have not had one refund request yet. I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised once the fans are in their hands.

So just give me a little love, if you don't mind. The insanity is nearly over. My next order includes a bunch of fans for stock, which means I''ll have day-to-day shipping instead of HOLYHELLIGOTTASHIPALLTHESENOW!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH! (I gotta say I know what Melodia feels like now, poor girl)

I am extending my ThankYou gift offer to the next order as well. Everyone really has been patient and kind, far more patient than I would have been. I'm asking you for just a little bit more. All members of the next order should have gotten the email I sent with current status. If you didn't, then let me know. If you are in the last order, and you didn't find your care instructions or Boon card, let me know (they were in the plastic pack holding the address label).

All I need is a quick "I'm working on it, go away" or "I hate you, you can't have your fans! Muwahaha!" Anything! $80 is a big deal to poor little me, and I hate to see it disappear into the ether. **All photos show sequins, but none of the fans will actually have them. You may order them for 1$ per fan more, but they tend to fall off, and the glue residue snags the silk ends, which is rather embarrassing on stage. Also, the sequin colors bleed onto the silk, and they are multicolor, so you can't get all one sequin color.

I should have the fans in my hands by first week of April. I will be ordering extra for stock, but by the time these arrive, many will have already sold out. Preordering is the best option!

The tines on these are 38cm long, so this is the largest of the fans. When open, the tines spread to 72cm wide, and the silk is 90cm wide, which means there is nearly a foot of extra silk past the end of the tines. This is a complete double layer of silk, so the tines are sandwiched between 2 layers of silk in the exact same size and shape. Because of the size and extra cloth, these have a rich, loud sound when opening them.

**Mulan fans - $18 each, $30 for the pair, choice of red, pink, yellow, green, purple, or blue**
These are the smallest and quietest of the fans, with about a 3-4" ruffle of silk extending past the tines. They are available in select colors only, and are an excellent choice for beginners. Most of these will have sequins on them, as the silk snagging isn't really a problem, but I will try to get as many as possible without sequins. Please let me know your preference.

**Single color small 1.5 meter fans $35 each, $60 pair
Two color small 1.5 meter fans (fire, etc) $40 each, $75 pair**
these are the most commonly liked, as they are reasonably long without being too big. The "fire" style and the blue & lavender ones shown are this size and style. Any colors are available.

**3m one-color fans $45 each, $85 pair
3m two color fans (fire, etc.) $55 each, $105 pair**
These are only available with the longer bamboo tines, because the smaller just can't support the long silk as well. You pick the color Amazing sound and look, but we have no photos or video yet. We will keep you posted and let you know as soon as we do!

**Troupes may be eligible for discounts, so please ask!

**No, I will not be placing an order earlier, as the shipping is not cost-effective. If you want custom fans, you must wait until the next order date! This is the best way to save the most money and get what colors you want.

I am in love with your fans and I know that some of the lovely ladies in my troupe would love them as well. :) I am curious to know if you offer a troupe discount, and if so, how many dancers need to get them. (We'd be getting a pair each.) I was also wondering if they all need to be the same color fans. (We like the 1.5 meter two-colors.:)

I've gone to the web site and tried to click on the fans I'd like to order, but I keep getting an error. And I can't seem to get through to Jenna either on tribe.net or via her email address...maybe there's an internet gremlin stalking my attempts to communicate with the lovely miss Jenna! :)

Fans and U.S. Customs, part 2

Good god, I'm going nuts.

After hours on the phone yesterday and today, I finally found a string of people with actual information and some answers.

Customs customer service is on the East coast, which means they close early compared to me on the west coast. Getting a straight answer is impossible. So I stopped dealing with them, and talked to the port authority in San Francisco, where the package is. That led me to someone that said that I should get a letter from customs if money were due, and would have already gotten it. (some of you know how bad the mail is around where I am, and have run into this issue. I can't wait to move!!) Then, I finally got through to a helpful girl who said that she couldn't imagine something like that being held, and gave me the number to the Oakland Mail center that is the exit point of mail from customs. Even tho they close at 2, I got someone on the phone at 3:30! YAY!!

This lovely lady said that nothing of this description had been siezed, or, to her knowledge, even been inspected. She said that most likely, the mail already has it, and is getting it my way.

Note the words "most likely".

My customs broker has also just given me a new lead on who to call to track the shipment.

So, we have more info, but we're still playing the wait and see game.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......

Wow, Shi is the hot new color scheme!!!

Shi is a fan with black tines and white silk which fades to black. It's the first in a series of fans with painted tines, and they're SO gorgeous!! But, painting takes time, etc., so the fans with painted tines cost $5 more. But it's worth it!

All new color schemes are applicable to all sizes. The current Shi is shown in a 4B style, which is large bamboo tines and 1.5m in length. However, if you want it in a 3m or with small bamboo, that's fine! It's up to you!

These videos are shot in natural light (not the beer!) so you can see them with no club glamour. I am perched on a rock and likely to plunge to my death at any moment in these... Ok, not death, but right scary close to skinned knees and other vicious abrasions, anyway. .... well, sorta. I'm having issues with the order button I designed, so back to the drawing board on that. *sigh* I also haven't picked a color scheme to speak of.

Well, I didn't!

A new selection of fabric has become available, and is a lovely cotton/lycra like Melodias. It's available in over 200 colors!!! YAAAAAAYY!!

What this means for you:

-I can actually make the damn things to sell and they're washable and hearty! YAY!
-I can start on the new designs now (all 27 of them) and make prototypes for you to see
-These new fabrics are strong enough to support the sassy new update!! (more coming soon on that! But you'll SEE it at TTD!! )
-I'll actually have a great color variety!! Yay!
-I'll be able to make my new PANTS!!! They are YUMMY comfy! And different!!! (more coming on that too!)

Delivery Date For Fans!!!!

Hello all!

I apologize again about these delays! This first major order has been more hurdle-laden than I thought was possible!

After the first vendor took the order and deposit, I never heard from him again. My backup vendor needed more info that took FedEx 2 weeks (instead of the 3 days I paid for) to get to them. Then, they quoted me prices that were sometimes triple or quadruple what I was previously paying, so now many of you are paying less for your fans that I am! Now, the vendor is off on holiday for the Chinese New Year. Go figure.

Anyway, the last bit of info that I just got is that we can expect these in about 2.5 to 3 weeks! Even though I'm losing over $2000 on this first order, I am committed to getting these to you!! I will also be incuding a thank-you gift for your patience as well. These fans deserve to be out there for you to enjoy them!

Once all this furor dies down, I expect that I will have many more successful and timely orders, and all will begin to settle. Meanwhile, I expect to be doing fan workshops in the coming year, so expect to hear more about those.

If you have placed an order and have moved, or will be moving in the next few weeks, please send me an email with "moving" in the subject line so that I can put your info in a special file.

Icky Vendor Problems - If You've ordered a Fan, please read!!

Hi all!

Many of your placed orders early January, and the timeline was that I would have those fans in my hands by the end of this week.

Alas, my vendor decided to take my order, and then not communicate with me again! What a jerk!! At any rate, he has not responded, so I have moved forward with another vendor. They have exceptional service and ratings, and they will ultimately be faster, but this means that the nice folks who ordered their fans now must wait for this shipment to arrive. I expect a total of about a 2-week delay, but I will have an accurate delivery quote as of Monday or Tuesday.

I sincerely apologize for this! I know how excited everyone is to get their fans. I'm thinking of something nice to do to reward you for your patience. Be assured that I will keep you posted! If you have any questions or concerns at all, please contact me!

These fans are prototypes that I imported to see if they'd work nicely, and they do!! Currently, I am working with the artists for these on color, style, and size, and I should have all my questions answered in the next few days. When that happens, I'll post on my tribe and send info out to all interested parties that have PM'd or emailed me.

At that time, I'll list colors, sizes, and styles available, and at what prices. Then, I'll begin taking preorders for them. Quite honestly, they're so popular, that I have no idea how many to order, and naturally, the "fire" look has been a hit! I don't want to sell out right when I get them and make more people wait!!

I imagine preorders will start in early January, and I'm hoping to get them a few weeks after that, and I'll ship all preorders immediately before I even photograph and post the rest. Once I figure out my shipping costs, I'll know the exact prices, but the ones you saw are likely to be about $30-40 each. There are some that will be both wider with longer tails, and some with broad ruffles, but no tails. I'll hoping to post video of these in motion on YouTube in the next week or two as well.

I have just posted photos of several fabrics that are available for skelts. Please refer to these photos to help choose whaat you like. More will be coming shortly!!

Also, if you have requests or see something you like on the web, please let me know. I look for stretchy (it can be a slight stretch, but there must be some give) NON-WOVEN fabrics. Wovens don't work well, and they don't stretch anyway.

Velvets, etc, are good, and as I make new finds, I'll post here. Please keep in mind that fabric price does affect the final cost of your skelt.

Skelt Info - 2 point with 4 tassels

The concept is simple lines without needing many layers, designed to be worn with Melodias either as street wear or performance level. I wanted something that you could dress up nicely, but be pretty enough for those with a limited budget, and versatile enough to be used often.

Other colors coming: copper, copper w/moons & stars, purple w/moons & stars, red velveteen with gold swirls, scrunchy fuscia/teal, silvery snakeskin looking fabric, and green weirdo leopard print.

This is a 2-point asymmetrical skelt in purple & silver skull & crossbones fabric with 4 tassels. Each tassel is accented with 3 silver cowries. The hem is lettuce edged, just like Melodias' hems. Foldover waistband with no elastic. I hate muffin tops! This design is copyrighted, so no naughtyness!

Base price for the fabric shown is going to run $45 plus shipping. if you want tassels that are longer, or more intricate, or with more cowries, or if you want cowry fall tassels instead of wool yarn tassels, the price will vary. The most expensive version would be with glitter cowry fall tassels, and that would depend on the cowrie count (and would more than likely top out around $80).

Currently, there is no size structure in place, so I will need your measurements when you order. After the first few orders, it will give me an idea of how to size the skirts for everyone.
