Known for his crisp isolations and exercises in precision hip work, Jim Boz will present a series of Advanced Hip Drills and Articulations, from basic through Advanced levels. Suitable for applications in your own workouts, these drills will sharpen your techniques and increase your "HIPRECISION"(tm).

Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm Oriental Combinations & Expression w/Jim Boz
Presenting a variety of Oriental techniques, textures, combinations and expressions for a variety of idioms, we will focus on proper balance, presentation and transitional elements for application to many Oriental and related dance forms. Music used for this workshop can be found on the CD "Belly Dance With Jim Boz" available at the studio or at the workshop.

Saturday 2:30-4:30pm Double Veil: Beginning to Intermediate w/Aneena
Just starting at Double Veil? Interested in the technique? Or want to sharpen your skills? This workshop, geared towards those with no previous knowledge through those who have some knowledge of double veil technique. Presented by the Master and Originator of the style, Aneena is a Patient instructor, known for her charm, wit and emotional expression. Don't let her approachability confuse you, she is an International Star with broad appeal on a variety of performance stages. Bring 2 semi-circular silk veils with a rolled edge. Aneena will have veils for sale, including some of her signature dyed veils that she offers at events worldwide.

Sunday 11:30am-1:30pm Double Veil: Intermediate to Advanced w/Aneena
This workshop, geared towards those with previous knowledge through those who require a challenge in double veil technique. Presented by the Master and Originator of the style, Aneena is a Patient instructor, known for her charm, wit and emotional expression. Subject material will begin easily and comfortably, but will quickly offer insight into the most advanced concepts of Double Veil technique. Previous experience strongly recommended. For those familiar with the technique and are looking for the best in their presentation are highly encouraged to attend! Bring 2 semi-circular silk veils with a rolled edge. Aneena will have veils for sale, including some of her signature dyed veils that she offers at events worldwide.


Sunday 2:30-4:30pm Baladi Combinations & Expression w/Jim Boz
Baladi, the urbanized folk music from the country, offers it's own presentation and movement vocabularies. Similar in some textures, but quite differently focused, the vocabularies present an opportunity to express more than just steps and hip movements, but the soul of Egyptian dance. Join Jim as we step through not only a series of combinations, but explanations and skill building in modulating texture sequences to unlock the inner soul of the music.
