This is the title.
The title and the basic story are Japanese, but I want to set the opera in Esperanto, in a village where Esperanto is the primary language. I liked the effect in 'Incubus' of not knowing what nation I was supposed to be seeing. It kept all kinds of national subtexts away from the story. I have some other reasons, too. Maybe I'll get into that later. Maybe. The title character will probably keep telling everyone he's from Japan, but I think it would be more interesting if this were never really verfied over the course of my version of the story.
I found the Teru Teru Bozu article by pressing Wikipedia's 'Random Article' button, and immediately got the ide of developing something larger from the nursery rhyme and the explanation behind it.

What I need as soon as possible are:
1) notation or a recording of the folk song
2) a translation of the text into Esperanto
