On October 26th of 2006, 2 City Councilors, Sonya Chandler (Victoria, BC) and Jane Sterk (Esquimalt, BC) and 2 'homeless' individuals, Rose Henry and Billy Bob sat around the Harmonizer Table at Dreamspace. The intention was to brainstorm solutions to homelessness. It was the first time to have people from such different perspectives around the Harmonizer Table. At the end of the meeting, Rose Henry, a well known advocate for the homeless and currently without a home, said it was the first time she had felt it was a 'level playing field' when communicating with people in power.

I had gone to the Victoria City Council Thursday public forums for 3 weeks in a row and invited the whole Victoria City Council to participate in an alternative communication process, the Harmonizer Table. The city has seemed blocked to find a solution to this growing problem that is listed as the most important issue faced to day. The Harmonizer Table is designed to assist groups to get breakthrough their limiting blockages to communicating.

Sonya Chandler, the youngest member of the Victoria City Councilor and a strong voice for the younger and environmental voices, accepted the invitation and showed an openness that was very much appreciated. She asked, Jane Sterk, a friend of hers to attend, and I asked a few of the homeless community to participate. This was a historic occasion.

Not only is the process of communicating around the Harmonizer Table innovative in its pattern breaking process, so is the filming of the process and then placing it in a breakthrough Web-TV interface on Dreamspace at www.theverysecretplan.com.

The interface is still at a prototype development stage, but it stands out as a pioneering trailblazer for what web-tv is going to turn into…the most powerful tool for change agents to spread their cultural transformative memes. Contained in one interface is a way to structure the information and knowledge necessary to find a solution to the issue being addressed. Homelessness is the example here but the interface is designed so that it could be adapted to any issue. A Web-TV sub-network called Wake-Up Call of all such issues in BC is found Dreamsapce Web-TV: www.theverysecretplan.com/Dream...y.html

No longer are there temporary stories that come and go in the corporate media, the internet now provides a medium to continue the story, build the story, and not lose the valuable knowledge gained along the way. Grassroots organizations can take control of the responsibility of the media to educate the public by doing it themselves.

Here is the interface: www.theverysecretplan.com/Dream...1.html

The interface is divided into 2 main sets of buttons: 7 Paths (at the top) and 8 Main categories (on the sides). The goal is to have access to all the information & knowledge that you need to solve the issue in one interface. These are all under construction at the present moment.

The paths:

1. Path of Exposure (What is the current state of the issue?)
2. Path of Enforcement (What is the government doing in reaction to it?)
3. Path of Support (What non-profit services are coping with the issue?)
4. Path of Healing (What has to happen to heal the causes to the issue?)
5. Path of Exploration (What doe we need to learn to solve the issue?)
6. Path of Discovery (What innovative processes and people are out there?)
7. Path of Transformation (The path to actually solving the issue.)

Each path looks at the issue from a different part of the process and each is useful toward understanding and finally solving the issue. A different Dreamspace reporter (and a corresponding organizational sponsor) will be responsible for each path.

The 8 main categories look at the issue from another angle:

1. History of the Issue (What are all the events & people and agreements that are related to the issue?)
2. History of the Campaign (What are all the events, people and agreements related to the specific campaign to solve the issue?)
3. Causes of the Issue (What are the actual causes to the issue?)
4. Research the Issue (A comprehensive database of all documents linked to the issue.)
5. Future of the Issue (What will happen if the issue isn’t solved?)
6. The Campaign Plan (The plan to solve the issue.)
7. The Solutions to the Issue (How can the issue be solved?)
8. Join the Campaign (All the jobs and tasks that need to be done to solve the issue)

Together all of these categories create a self organizing Shared Knowledge Community that eventually will have everything needed to solve the issue. The Web-TV show focuses all of the players and knowledge together.

There are still many pieces missing and a full team and network need to work on this together. The interface is the key to bringing it all together in one whole system. By putting all the shows together in one network, it creates many eyeballs as people go to the one place in the province that is looking to build a unified comprehensive plan to deal with all the issues together in a holistic systematic manner.

That is the premise behind www.theverysecretplan.com. Its goal is to be a portal to bring together all the players in a worldwide game to transform the current old paradigm systems that are quickly propelling our species into an unsustainable world.

The Harmonizer Table is a breakthrough communication tool that is a pattern breaker. It allows teams of people to see multiple perspectives at different levels, and allows new ways of seeing the issue, one that is more holistic. It is multifaceted in what it can do: a brainstorm conversation to find new ways to solve a problem or new options for a product; a healing process to solve conflicts; a way to share knowledge; a way to create value systems…it depends on the context.
