It is sad in a way but I feel that if the JT would have kept on going it would have gotten a bit stale and repeditive. I'm glad it went with a bang instead of a slow death with the same acts every year and shrinking attindence. It was fun and now its Chads and Chucks turn.

To me it isn't about the performances. Its about people who come together based on a common and unique interest. Its about a community who cares and shares. Attendance actually increased this year, and Sat. nite was the biggest ever. I doubt that "slow death" was ever an issue. JMHO

Yes I am sad that its over.. very sad, But I wholeheartedly agree with Per. This extreme energy that comes about when so many people with a passion for one thing get together is irreplaceable! There was a certain combnation that clicked ( for me anyway) with JT, the area is powerfull ( Native American land often is) the people and the sounds combined with that place just made it "right" I would be absolutely delighted if it got picked up again by another team that could do it the same justice that G+T have done but I wonder if their part in it was one of the aspects that contributed to clicking like it did. I suppose no one knows what the future holds and for now im placing all my anticipation eggs in the InDidjInUs basket :) If JT happens to come along again ill just go get more anticipation eggs :) :)

I may be the only one that feels this, but I highly doubt it....I have a hunch that someone will carry the JT torch. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it turns into a completely different animal, but I am sure that if it carries on it will be full of the same incredible people. It will be very interesting to see what happens....

O.K., let me start this all over! I loved, loved , loved the J.T. I went 4 years in a row with money I did not have not knowing anybody my first year and even no idea how to camp. What I am saying is this, this year had a large turnout 'cause it was the last year. I am sad that the J.T. is over but what if it just went on and on with smaller crowds, same entertanment and and a "been there done that" sort of feeling. What if the Beatles never broke up and relesed bad LPs in the 80's like what the Rolling Stones did? What I'm saying is that its time for change and maybe its for the better.
Now its time for Chads In-didge-in-us and Chucks Treeman fest to fill in the gap, so its ok to be sad and to remember the times we all had together there but lets look forward to new adventures nad places with our didgeridoos.

A few people asked me if I'd be willing to pick up that JT torch and with a lot of thought I've decided that In-Didj-In-Us has developed a site capable of handling being 'the' international gathering. If we have two national gatherings the energies and attendances will always be hampered by the other. JT was excellent all these years because it brought didjeridu into the big show wearas In-Didj-In-Us was always more about creating community. It was awesome having them on successive weekends so entertainers could hit two fests in just over a week. Now to create that same support for the artists I'm going to start booking tours around festival time. Next summer we already have Ondrej and Jeremy Donovan commiting to tour together, starting with Treeman back on the east coast. This time around I've got a full year to plan and so I'm going to be reaching for every lead I can find. Damn, as I think of it, that JT site does make a fine venue with a big crowd already eager to attend. Hmmmm......I'm still thinking.........

Maybe it goes back to the finite energy theory. Maybe JT's energy will now feed InDidjInUs and allow for a pattern of growth on every level that may not have been possible before? maybe some of that growth will be in the touring of Didge players? a little bit of "big show" tossed into a whole bunch of "community" has to result in pure "joy" :) no matter what, Im there Mr. Chad
