Batman, archetypes, the Shadow and the process of being human

So Batman has got me thinking . How dark that movie is and how beautiful it is. Like the characters, Bruce Wayne is good but has a dark side, he's empty and superficial and a pampered billionaire. The Joker is so dark, a nihilist, nothing matters to him and yet he was a terribly abused child at one point. These things springs from the Mind of Christopher Nolan with much influence of Carl Jung, Bob Kane, and I wishe I knew his sources. This darkness exists in us all. That's what being human may be about, to go deeply into our darkness, shine a light on it and heal it . It may be that we are all in a grand process of rescueing ourselves from this darkness. So people are so in the dark that it is thier lightness that is hard to find. People like Batman are so good that it takes extrodinanary circumstances to find thier darkness. This movie is so beautiful but it is in the darkness that the beauty lies. It does not mix words, people are mean and kill each other. The White Knight ( Harvey Dent) turns bad after losing his love. The characters wrestle with themselves as much as each other.
It's a brilliant film, it is also a brilliant commentary on being human.
