For several years, from the late 90s up until 2005 I dreamt frequently of zombies. The scenarios were myriad and they weren't always threatening, but regardless of what kind of zombie representation or situation I found myself in, the fact of the matter is that they were by far one of the most common memorable dream elements I've had.

After I moved away from my hometown, the zombies left. For about two years, there was scarcely a zombie to be seen anywhere in my dreamscape. Perhaps this is partly due to the fact that I simply don't remember my dreams as vividly as I used to, but that is not the entirity of it for certain. What I can say is that the zombies are slowly coming back, bursting out of the grave that has entombed them for the past several years. So many aspects of my life are so much better now than they ever were before I moved. Many of the reasons I had thought they were in my psyche are no longer with me, and yet here they return.
